Target's decision to take a stance on a social cause appears to be bad for business. Shopper traffic has been declining for the first time in years, ever since the company issued a statement in April, saying transgender customers were free to use whichever bathroom they wanted at their store locations. The statement was in response to a North Carolina bill that was signed into law in March, requiring students at state school to sue the bathrooms of their birth gender. Same-store transactions at Target stores are down 2.2 per cent in the second quarter, likely due to a boycott against the company In addition to same-store transactions dropping 2.2 per cent in the second-quarter, the company is also losing millions in building single-occupancy bathrooms for customers who were uncomfortable with Target's transgender-inclusive policy. While the majority of stores have solo bathrooms, the company is spending $20million to create new single-occupancy restrooms at stores that lack them.

Only sickos shop at target.
I hate to tell them, but that's not going to work. Transgenders will look at that the same way blacks looked at separate water fountains. Yes, the need is fulfilled, but that's not what this transgender movement is about. It's about equality and acceptance. A separate bathroom is exclusion and discrimination. Transgenders will wait until Target spends the $20 million, then will protest and file the inevitable lawsuit. This isn't over by a longshot. You heard it here first.
I said at the time Target started going down that road that it would be detrimental to the company. The shareholders should fire all of the Board of Directors, and all upper management, and replace them all with Directors, and managers that are less encouraging to the LGBT crowd.
