In an interview airing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” moderator Chuck Todd asked, “Are you in favor of an assault-weapons ban?”
“I have voted for it,” Kaine said. “But I think there’s a better way to go at the problem and that is limitations on the size of magazines and ammunition clips.”
“So you think an AR-15 should be sold,” Todd asked.”You don’t think there should be any limitations?”
“I have voted for it and I would likely vote for it again,” Kaine replied, “But here’s a practical problem that I think you’re aware of. As soon as you define what an assault weapon is, you can’t sell a weapon and here’s how we describe it, gun manufacturers just make one adjustment or two and say see, this isn’t subject to the limitation. Whereas if you say you can’t sell an ammunition clip or a magazine with more than 10 or 12 rounds–”
“So you believe ammunition is the way to go,” Todd asked.
“I really think that’s probably the way to tackle the problem more effectively,” Kaine replied.

The next step will be enormous taxes on ammo. Folks, I have always said as long as these SOB's are breathing, they will never stop, until we are reduced to nothing but slingshots, tire tools, and ball bats!

IM for gun control and ammo control!
There is nothing wrong with a little control. A good firm but not overly tight grip and differently not a wimpy grip. Even pull and know what you are aiming at and what is behind it just in case you miss(unlikely) or you shot through the perp. Ammo control is also good. You blow through your ammo and then the gun is no more than rock! 1 or 2 shots then access the situation again smartly.

One of the things that makes this so stupid is 3D printers Plus, in Maine there are any number of metal benders who will make you a hig cap for about 2/3ds what a name brand would cost you in the store, no tax, no record, good deal.

that's because they get away with it in the blue states . The NY SAFE Act bans possession of clips over 10 rounds no matter where they were sold. The 2nd Circus court upheld the law and SCOTUS wouldn't here the case .
