Bang / Guns Title: Donald Trump vows to end gun-free zones Donald Trump vows to end gun-free zones
Donald Trump has slammed Hillary Clinton as "heartless" for backing restrictions on gun ownership that he said would leave Americans in high-crime areas unable to protect themselves. Trump's remarks came at the National Rifle Association convention in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday. The gun rights organisation endorsed the presumptive Republican nominee ahead of his remarks, despite Trump's previous support for measures such as an assault weapons ban that the NRA vigorously opposes. But the business mogul-turned-politician has taken a far less restrictive stance on guns during the Republican presidential primary. His call for ending "gun-free zones" across the country was enthusiastically welcomed by the NRA crowd.
Reality Check: The NRA wasn't always anti-gun control Trump attacks Hillary Trump centred his remarks on Clinton, claiming she would seek to "abolish" the Second Amendment through the Supreme Court and release violent criminals if elected president. He also challenged Clinton to follow his lead and release a list of potential Supreme Court nominees. In his speech, Trump referred to her as "Heartless Hillary" - a new nickname from the branding expert for his potential Democratic opponent - for backing restrictions aimed at reducing gun deaths, saying her proposals would instead leave law-abiding citizens exposed to criminals. "She's putting the most vulnerable Americans in jeopardy," Trump said. He added that women in particular would be at risk, a nod to what he's said will be a security-focused appeal to women in the general election.
Victims demand restrictions on US gun sale Trump heads into the fall campaign with stunningly high disapproval ratings with women. The supremely confident Trump appeared to acknowledge that weakness, saying that while his poll numbers with men are strong, "I like women more than men." "Come on women, come on," he said. Hillary's stance on guns Clinton's campaign called Trump's gun policies "radical and dangerous". Senior policy adviser Maya Harris said Clinton believes "there are common-sense steps we can take at the federal level to keep guns out of the hands of criminals while respecting the Second Amendment." Among the measures Clinton supports are expanding background checks to sales at gun shows and online purchases, and reinstating a ban on assault weapons. NRA leaders were blistering in their condemnation of Clinton, accusing her of threatening Americans' freedom and being driven by personal greed. During one speech, an NRA leader briefly played a video showing Clinton barking like dog. The organisation's leaders were less robust in their endorsement of Trump, mentioning him by name only briefly and saying little about his record on guns. Trump backed an assault weapons ban, as well as slightly longer waiting periods for gun purchases, in a 2000 book. He's since said such bans don't work and has also called for making it easier for law-abiding citizens to carry guns for self- protection Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread Top • Page Up • Full Thread • Page Down • Bottom/Latest #1. To: BobCeleste (#5) I asked some members of our canary Klan: --- Any comments about your support of States having the power to declare gun free zones, seeing Trump is against them ?
Donald is a big believer in both Articles nine and ten of the Bill of Rights. Me too.
But he has pledged to end all of those gun free zones dictated by the federal g0vt. But? Do you think Trump is conflicted on that issue somehow?
Does that answer you question? No it doesn't, as you can see by mine.
You can find a lot about his positions on his web site. I'm well aware of his positions, and support most of them. Do you?
#7. To: tpaine (#3) Can't answer I see. Is it because you're chickenshit? Or is it that you refuse to badmouth your canary klan buddies? There is no answering you. There is no answering you. Not from you, obviously. IMHO you just don't have the smarts.
You are like arguing with a 7 year old. And that answer confirms my opinion just above. --- Thanks.
#9. To: tpaine (#0) Good article. I think the differentiation between Trump and Clinton on this issue concerning gun control establishes a clear path for a Trump victory as the next POTUS.
#10. To: buckeroo (#9) I think you're right.. Thanks.
#11. To: GrandIsland (#2) (Edited) Stop pinging me to your horseshit questions. You will have to overlook him since he is a habitual “argument stroker” with narcissistic tendencies and very self-absorbed. He enjoys arguing just for the sake of arguing. He can’t help that he wants to fuss about the most trivial things, just to cause a conflict or to engage in a conflict. When he is lonely and has no argument actively going at time, he uses the ping list to stir up activity to fulfill his psychological morbid dependency. I learned a long ago that what bothers him most and almost drives him crazy is to completely ignore him … he cannot stand that and keeps up with pestering posts to try to draw you back in to engage him. Try it sometime and watch him jump through the hoops.
How to Annoy Argumentative People.
#12. To: GrandIsland (#7) There is no answering you. You are like arguing with a 7 year old. I just said this same thing ... you said it more directly in fewer words. "You are like arguing with a 7 year old" analogy is precisely accurate.

You will have to overlook him (tpaine) since he is a habitual “argument stroker” with narcissistic tendencies and very self-absorbed. Poor gatlin, instead of pretending to be a major, you should have pretended to be a psychiatrist.
He enjoys arguing just for the sake of arguing. I like exposing phonies through the art of argument, it's true. So sue me..
He can’t help that he wants to fuss about the most trivial things, just to cause a conflict or to engage in a conflict. Our constitution is NOT trivial, and I base most of my arguments with you anti-constitutionalists, as you must admit.

#25. To: tpaine (#0) I have been pretty much against guns until now. But now I plan to buy a gun and get a legal permit to carry it so I can defend myself and my family and friends against Muslims. An AK-47 would do just fine.
#26. To: tpaine (#1) This forum should be a gun-free zone. The sight of Decker glaring at everybody with a gun draped over his shoulder is quite intimidating.
