In the race for the Republican nomination, Donald Trump would seem to be in the catbird seat. He has won the most states, the most delegates and the most votes--by nearly two million.

He has brought out the largest crowds and is poised for huge wins in the largest states of the East, New York and Pennsylvania.

Yet, there is a growing probability that the backroom boys will steal the nomination from him at a brokered convention in Cleveland.

Over the weekend, Colorado awarded all 34 delegates to Ted Cruz. The fix had been in since August, when party officials, alarmed at Trump’s popularity, decided it would be best if Colorado Republicans were not allowed to vote on the party’s nominee.

After all, these poor folks might get it wrong.

In South Carolina, where Trump swept the primary, a plot is afoot for a mass desertion of Trump delegates after the first ballot.

The Republican Party in Georgia, another state Trump won, is also talking up delegate defections.

In state after state, when Trump wins, and moves on, the apparatchiks arrive — to thieve delegates for Cruz.

“This is a crooked system, folks,” says Trump, “the system is rigged. … I go to Louisiana. I win Louisiana. … Then I find out I get less delegates than Cruz because of some nonsense. … I say this to the RNC. I say it to the Republican Party: You’re going to have a big problem, folks, because the people don’t like what’s going on.”

Something rotten is also going on in the Democratic race.

Bernie Sanders is on a roll, having won seven straight primaries and caucuses. Yet, he keeps falling further behind.

“I watch Bernie, he wins. He wins. He keeps winning, winning,” said Trump in Rochester. “And then I see, he’s got no chance. They always say he’s got no chance. Why doesn’t he have a chance?

“Because the system is corrupt.”

Sanders seems to be shorted every time he wins a primary or caucus. And the insurmountable hurdle he faces was erected against folks like Sanders some time ago — the 700-plus superdelegates.

These are Democratic congressmen, senators, governors and Party officials. By more than 10-1, close to 500 of these superdelegates have lined up to back Hillary Clinton and stop Sanders.

The Democratic Party believes in democracy, up to a point — that point being that Democratic voters will not be permitted to nominate a candidate to whom the party elites object.

Richard Nixon‘s 49-state triumph in 1972 cured the Democrats of their naive belief in democracy. Henceforth, the George McGoverns and Bernie Sanderses can run. But they will not be allowed to win.

Yet, since it is Trump and Sanders who have stirred the greatest passion and brought out the biggest crowds, if both are seen as having been cheated by insiders, then the American political system may suffer a setback similar to that caused by the “corrupt bargain” of 1824.

Andrew Jackson ran first in the popular vote and the Electoral College, but was short of victory. John Quincy Adams, who ran second, got Speaker Henry Clay to deliver the House of Representatives, and thus make Adams president. Clay became Adam’s secretary of state.

In 1828, Jackson got his revenge, winning the presidency. Clay would never make it. On his deathbed, Jackson confided that among the great regrets of his life was that he did not shoot Henry Clay.

While the turnout in the Democratic primaries and caucuses has not matched the Obama-Clinton race of 2008, Sanders has rallied the young and working class, turned out the biggest crowds and generated the greatest enthusiasm.

But on the Republican side, the Party has had the largest turnout in American history. And the reason is Trump.

And if, after having won the most votes and delegates, Trump is seen as having been swindled out of a nomination he won, by intraparty scheming in Cleveland, the GOP could suffer a self-inflicted wound from which it might not recover.

Another matter that could prevent a return to national unity? The deepening split over trade and foreign policy, both between the parties, and within the parties.

Sanders, last week, was saying that what disqualifies Clinton as president is her support for free trade deals that gutted American industry and cost millions of jobs, and her support for an Iraq War that was among the costliest, bloodiest blunders in U.S. history.

On both issues, Trump agrees with Sanders. Cruz, an uber-hawk and free trader, is more aligned with Clinton.

If the “America First” stance on foreign and trade policy, close to a majority position today, is unrepresented by either party this fall, and we get a free trade, War Party president, the divisions within the country will widen and deepen.

If Sanders and his revolution are sent packing in Philadelphia, and Trump is robbed in Cleveland of a nomination Americans believe he won political disillusionment, and political realignment, may be at hand.

SC may go into court and contest Trump's delegates there because Trump is breaking his written pledge to support the party's nominee.

SC may get sanctioned for frivolous filing.

n state after state, Trump just fires his staff and doesn't keep them in place to help select delegates.

Trump is so cheap that he has chosen to do this. And Cruz simply snaps up those delegates.

And, amazingly, Trump is far in the lead, Cruz trails and is falling toward third place, and he is losing any reasonable argument that he should be the first alternate rather than Kasich.

Trump does not have a national campaign in any meaningful sense.

Damn, and Trump is still beating the shit out of Ted Cruz who is hiding in some dark corner, quivering like a scared poodle sitting in a puddle of warm piss. Just imagine if Trump got organized or had a real campaign like Cruz.

IDM who the REPs nominate. Trump has already assured victory for Hillary in November, possibly with a DRat majority in the Senate and certainly a clear path to stack SCOTUS with leftist DRats. The REP Party is finished as a viable, competitive national party. Trump is not solely responsible for that but he was the straw the broke the camel's back.

I'm very much looking forward to that.

But I AM worried, because I see a path by which these conniving shitstain Republicans can thwart the people's will and deny Trump the nomination.

And then there will be hell to pay.

I'd rather see Trump defeat these bastards and then reform the country and make it great again, as I believe he will. But Republicans are remarkably tenacious in their evildoing.

Yes,you were and are.

No, I'm not, and I never was.

What I am is a Catholic: I believe in broad social welfare and a degree of wealth redistribution to provide a decent living for everybody, all the way to the bottom. This isn't a Democrat belief.

I think that that, more than anything else, reduces violence, reduces drug use, and keeps things reasonable. I have always thought that Reaganomics was a sick and stupid joke, and time has proven me right.

I believe in flat wealth taxation, not progressive income taxation. This isn't a Democrat position.

I believe that life begins at conception and that all abortion is murder, and should be treated as such. Democrats don't believe that, and neither do Republicans.

I believed in the necessity of the worldwide struggle against Communism. Democrats after LBJ did not. But I do not believe in imperialism. Once we won the Cold War, which we did in 1991, I believe we should have stood down the forces, come home, and used the massive budget surplus to pay off the national debt. Democrats don't believe anything like that.

I oppose free trade with unfree nations.

I oppose the hiring of illegal aliens, and I oppose their voting: Democrats support both.

I oppose the death penalty, because I think our justice system is corrupt and broken and unreliable, not because I think that death for murderers is unjust. Democrats don't think like this.

I think that drugs should be legalized, not because I'm a drug user, but because all experience abroad has shown that nations that legalize and treat drug addiction as a medical issue have much lower addiction rates and crime rates.

I am for common sense, in a universe that in fact has a God who has given us his opinion of things.

That is not a Democrat view.

I've never been a Democrat. If the Republicans steal the nomination from Trump, I will vote Democrat, for the first time, because then it's war and the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I'll be doing what FDR did: ally with Stalin (the Democrats) to defeat Hitler (the Republicans). Nothing more, nothing less.

Worry not. Trump has taken this country by storm. He is undeniably the most popular candidate on any side of any fence. The filthy socialist are so worried, that they are sending people to his appearances to cause disturbances. That is called FEAR. lol

Trump will win the election with or without the (R) party... and soon, the (R) party will join the Trump craze once that high pitched voices, sleazy sounding Canadian drops out.

People say Trump has no policies, but I've listened to him all along. He has policies, lots of them, and they're great. They're exactly what we need, all of us, from the bottom to the top.

And Trump is honest. This is why he gets in trouble with the politically correct: he says what he thinks, and they've ruled many of those thoughts off- limits.

For Christ sake vote Constitution Party. A vote for Hellary will be interprited as popularity of Hellary not a protest against Republican theft.

No. I will back the strongest horse.

Donald Trump is the strongest horse and the best hope that America has. But the Republican party asshats, through corruption and manipulation, may deny him the nomination.

If they do that, I will vote for Hillary Clinton.

Why?

First, the Democrats are generally right about economics. They were right about the New Deal - Social Security, Unemployment Insurance, the Veteran's Administration, the GI Bill - all of that. They were absolutely right, and the Republicans were, have been, and still are, totally wrong in every detail on those matters. They STILL oppose the greatest source of middle class security. And the Constitution Party generally stands with Republicans on economics. They're morons. My vote for the Democrats will be an AFFIRMATIVE vote for the best economic plan in America.

SECOND, the Democrats are right about the need for universal health insurance. Obamacare, like the Romneycare on which it was patterned, is a crappy way to do it. Single payer, funded through taxation, is the proper way to do it. As Obamacare fails, that is the direction towards which we need to go, and that is the direction in which we WILL go under the Democrats. The Constitution Party, just like the Republicans, have foolish ideas that Medicare is unconstitutional. I've put up with Republican stupidity on economic and social safety net matters for decades. I will not be signing up to some fringe party that shares the same lunatic ideas with the GOP on fundamental economic matters. Nope.

THIRD: Democrat foreign policy, like Republican foreign policy, is a doomed mess of imperialism and Israel first-ism. We'll have the same sort of asshattery whichever party is in power. Hillary won't be worse than W Bush and Dick Cheney were, and Obama has certainly been better than them. Democrats, like Republicans and Constitutional Party types, are all free traders. Stupid. Impoverishes Americans, but at least, then, the Democrats realize that we have to have a strong social welfare state to support all of the people that free trade lunacy puts out of work.

FOURTH: Republicans won't close the border. They keep it open so that Republican businessmen can have unlimited cheap, exploitable labor that doesn't have legal rights. Democrats won't close the border either. They import Mexicans with the intention of getting the votes of their children. Democrats will naturalize these people as fast as they can, locking in permanent legislative majorities for themselves, and stripping Texas away from the Republicans as well. This will ensure that the Republicans will never, ever be able to get up again. We will have 100 years of Democrat rule, and that will give them time to fully develop their program. And those rich Republican businessmen who connived through the GOP to keep the Border open so they would get the cheap exploitable labor? They will now find that labor with a $15 minimum wage, protected just like Americans, unionized - and no Republican party to protect them. These crony capitalist bastards assfucked the American workers because they had the power to protect themselves through corrupt Republican party operations.

But with the Republican Party destroyed, these fat cats will have no political protection. They will be taxed, they will be regulated, they will be prosecuted, they will be sued, and they will pay just wages. And if they decide to emigrate, that's fine, but they will not be taking their money with them.

These are all things that the Constitution Party will never do. Trump would have better foreign policy, save American culture, get America back to work again - all of these things. But the crony capitalists who control the Republican Party will never permit it - they are using their wealth and control of the levers of Republican power to stop him.

If they succeed, the only way to destroy THEM is to take their money and their power by destroying the Republican Party and hitting them with regulations and redistributive taxation that literally strips their source of power from them. Democrat fat cats like Gates and Buffett, at least, support social security and the social safety net. Either way fat cats rule, but Democrat fat cats provide for the poor. It is against Republican principles to do so.

That's WHY we have so many poor, and so many people ready and eager to vote for Trump, to get a new deal. Republican party operatives are determined to thwart that, so they are trying to steal the nomination from Trump.

If they do, they must be destroyed for good, and the people who back them must be destroyed also. And Hillary Clinton will do that. She's a killer. Literally.

By stealing the election from Trump, the Republican Party will have signed its own death warrant, at the hands of the Democrats, and you can bet your sweet bippy that I will be right there at the guillotine cheering as their heads are cut off.

Nope. The Republicans will either reform and stop the corruption, stop trying to steal the election from Trump. HE will reform the party and re- establish it as a middle class party.

Or they will steal it, in which case they need to be slaughtered politically. And Hillary Clinton, a Democrat Congress, a Democrat Supreme Court, and the decisive victory of the Democrat Party is the only way to do that job.

If the Republicans pull their Pearl Harbor on Trump, then the only thing I will accept is unconditional surrender, and I won't even accept that until the atomic bombs have been dropped on them so they never, ever get up again.

It's war. And I will very gladly ally with Stalin and give him full Lend Lease in order to slaughter the Nazis and bring Germany to the ground. That's the analogy. The Republicans can avoid all of this by yielding to democracy. Trump has won just about every PRIMARY. Where people VOTE, they want Trump. And they're right. Trump will be the nominee if the Republicans cease their machinations. They won't. Because they're utterly corrupt human shitstains. Trump may win anyway. Hooray. But if they prevent that, then we need one party rule for the next Century, and the New Deal and Great Society need to be taken to their logical conclusion, which is Scandinavian-style socialism. With the Supreme Court, Hillary will be able to get there. And given how the Republicans have tormented that woman and her family, she is not above literally killing them, Waco style, if they stand in the way. So be it.

Yes, Fuck the Republicans, every last one of them, for daring to assert that the mother is not a criminal in an abortion, and that to be pro-life is to not think of punishing her. Fuck the Republicans for thinking that, and fuck everyone else who thinks that.

Fuck anybody who says he is "pro-life" who thinks that the murderess should go unpunished.

That is the position of the "pro-life" Republicans.

They are lying snakes. That is not "pro-life" it is a cowardly lie, a sleazy pretense at being what one is not.

Donald Trump told the truth - that the woman who commits the abortion is guilty and deserves punishment just like the doctor - she is a murderess. Whoever says otherwise is an evil piece of shit, crooked, dishonest, without any sense or logic.

And that is what the Republicans did - exposed themselves by attacking the truth he spoke.

There is no pro-life party. The Republicans are lying filth. Snakes. Shitstains. More pro-abortion than Democrats, actually, because Republicans GAVE US ROE, and EXTENDED IT.

Democrats, by contrast, often express reservations about abortion, but favor the liberty interest of the woman. At least they are HONEST about it. They stand FOR something.

Republicans stand for their own power,. But they are incompetent when they wield it, and utterly dishonest to the core of their beings. Liars who manipulate with lies.

Republicans are pro-abortion liars. Democrats are honestly pro-liberty babykillers.

A pox on both houses.

BUT the Republicans have gotten away with their LIE for too long. THEY MUST BE DESTROYED. And the perfect vehicle to destroy them now is the Democrats. The Democrats can go be judged by God at the end, for favoring the liberty of women over the lives of infants. The Republicans need to be stripped of their power and wealth and status NOW, by the Democrats.

They played with the truth and lied for years. And now they need to pay for it by losing everything.

Neither side is right on abortion. The Democrats are wrong, but straightforward. Republicans are faithless liars, snakes in the grass. Their heads need to be cut off, and the Democrats are just the ones to do it.

If many more think like you, We are surely doomed.

Vote for Trump and the doom will pass. He is a Republican. He will reshape the party, but you will keep the Court and the Congress.

Refuse to bend the knee to Trump, and the Democrats will strip you of everything. Including your guns.

I used to be one of you. You lied to me and you broke faith, and I will never forgive you. But if you accept the leadership of my man, I won't ally with your enemy to lop off your head.

If you refuse, then I will ally with them to kill you.

There may be only one of me. There may be ten of me. There may be millions of me.

It looks as though you may find out, because the sense that I get is that Republicans are going to fight Trump to death. In so doing, they may kill his political bid. In response, they need to have their own heads chopped off, for good.

The only way to do that is to give the whole government to the Democrats, led by a woman who has killed people and who hates the Republicans enough to Waco-ize their compounds.

Trump would be so much better. But when you're facing Hitler, you ally with Stalin and give him all the support you can.

It's not hypocritical or stupidl. It is principled hatred. Pure and undiluted.

Of course, if we can get Trump across the finish line we don't need to worry about it.

Will GOP Establishment Swindle Trump in Cleveland, Too?

It's not just Trump they are trying to swindle. It's my vote that they are trying to negate in perpetuity is I don't approve of subsidized degeneracy or corruption.

What if Trump is running as an independent? If they GOPe resorts to fraud his pledge is null and void.

God hates. People can hate. Hate is the natural response to evil.

I won't continue to hate the bad guys once they are defeated.

And they're going to be defeated. Trump's going to be the nominee, and he's going to mow down Hillary at the polls.

The pledge was always meaningless, the first of many impositions on Trump by a Republican Establishment that is unappeasable and implacable.

If Trump runs as an Indpendent, I will vote for Trump for President, and I'll vote a straight Democrat ticket for Congress, to be absolutely certain that the Republicans who cheated Trump out of the nomination are destroyed.

The only outcome in which the Republicans can be allowed to win is if they nominate Trump and back him.

That sounds reasonable. I don't see how the GOPe types could fault you for voting democrat since they are in favor of importing tens of millions of democrat voters anyway.
