#2. To: Willie Green (#0) (Edited) " The Crazy List of Things Ted Cruz Actually Believes " No list. Went to the source, watched the YouTube Video. Big wup. I thought the clown doing the video was kinda flakey. Cmon Willie, surely you can do better than this. Si vis pacem, para bellum Those who beat their swords into plowshares will plow for those who don't Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God. There are no Carthaginian terrorists. President Obama is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people. --Clint Eastwood "I am concerned for the security of our great nation; not so much because of any threat from without, but because of the insidious forces working from within." -- General Douglas MacArthur #3. To: Willie Green (#0) (Edited) Cruz does indeed oppose Agenda 21 .But he doesn’t call it a conspiracy. Nor does he say it is directed solely at golf courses. He sees as a UN-led effort to direct local development policies in the name of the environment. Cruz' web site stated at one time that Agenda 21 “establishes a regime of rules that attempt to bypass Congress and the American people, handing over power over vast areas of the US economy to unelected UN bureaucrats” He adds that the potentially targeted areas are ones the environmentalists call “unsustainable” including “golf courses, grazing pastures, and paved roads.” In big, bold letters Cruz warns: “Agenda 21 subverts liberty, our property rights, and our sovereignty.” Is he wrong about that ? I think the US government under various Presidents have made environmental law and decrees that have displaced many local laws about zoning in the name of 'sustainable development ' . So yes ,under the statists I can see a day where the creation of golf courses would be restricted or banned . As for the rest of moonbat Michael Brooks' charges against Cruz. He calls him a 'neocon' based on the words of Rand Paul . Everyone has their own definition about what that means ,and who they paint with that smear. He says Cruz opposes homosexual marriage. me too He says that Cruz is a skeptic of AGW me too He calls the abortion pill necessary emergency contraception .Cruz opposes that and so do I . He accuses Cruz of calling Social Security a ponzi scheme. Perhaps it wasn't intended to be one ;but it is today . He says Cruz wants to privatize Social Security . That is an idea worth considering . He thinks the yee-haws are too stupid to manage their own accounts . Cruz disagrees and so do I . He claims Cruz is concerned about the introduction of sharia law in the US . Umm it is already here . "If you do not take an interest in the affairs of your government, then you are doomed to live under the rule of fools." Plato #4. To: Willie Green (#0) The philosophy seems to be to pretend that SS in not a ponzi scheme and that the "plunge protection team" is magical, and that all the problems will go away, and Bernie will give you a free pony. ![]() #5. To: Stoner, Willie Green (#2) (Edited) Cmon Willie, surely you can do better than this. No, he probably can't Agree or disagree with him, Cruz is going against the current orthodoxy - the groupthink of statists who perceive themselves as the intelligentsia. They are the intellectual elite - smarter than everyone else. In saner times, one who goes against the current orthodoxy would be seen either as a fool or as someone who is brave - given one's perspective. But other than that, he or she would be left alone. But in the world that people like Willie seem to prefer, it's not enough to just "tsk tsk" those people. They must be stopped - silenced. You know, like they did in the old USSR. Ah, the good ol' days . . . "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD . . . " ~Psalm 33:12a #6. Their view on Trump:
A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them. #7. To: hondo68 (#4) and Bernie will give you a free pony. the boiling love ps
