Fairborn Municipal Court Judge Beth Root has just decided that there is in fact probable cause to prosecute Ronald T. Ritchie for lying to a 9-1-1 dispatcher about John Crawford, in August of 2014.
Shortly after Ritchies call from the Beavercreek, Ohio Walmart on Pentagon Avenue, John Crawford III was gunned down by Officer Sean Williams who entered the store armed with an AR-15 assault rifle and ready for nothing short of war, based on Ritchies lies.
Crawford was shot by police in an aisle of the Beavercreek Walmart on August 5, 2014. He was legally holding a BB gun that he picked up off the shelf of the Walmart at the time.
Local WDTN News reports the following:
Nine citizens filled out affidavits that were delivered to the court on March 25. Judge Root found in those affidavits that probable cause does exist to prosecute Ritchie for the accusation of making false alarms a first degree misdemeanor.
Affidavits questioned on whether or not there was enough to prosecute him on charges related to inducing violence, inducing panic, involuntary manslaughter and reckless homicide all of which were dismissed as not having enough probable cause.
The call from Ritchie came into Beavercreeks 9-1-1 dispatch center.
there is a man walking around in the store with a gun waving and pointing at people. The dispatcher asked, What does he look like? To which the caller answers, Black male about 6 feet tall Ronald Ritchie was inside the Beavercreek Walmart. He made this call to 911 after seeing Crawford.

No matter what your position on the shooting of John Crawford last August in the Beavercreek, Ohio Walmart, nearly everyone agrees that the guy who called 911 should be arrested and prosecuted. Ronald Tyler Ritchies false information, given during that emergency call by all estimations led to the death of not only John Crawford, but also another shopper who died of a heart attack after Officer Sean Williams opened fire in the store.
He was the catalyst, if you will, in the whole sequence of events leading up to my sons death, John Crawford Jr, the father of the victim, told the Guardian UK. It was a crank call. He excited the call, and exaggerated the call, and frankly it was just a bunch of lies.
Michael Wright, the attorney for the Crawford family, added that Ritchie should be questioned on why the footage and what he said does not match. Hes basically lying with the dispatchers, hes making up the story. So should he be prosecuted? Yes, I believe so.
To be sure, Ritchie was questioned, but in a very uncritical, non-aggressive manner. Watch the footage from an account that describes itself as about the Beavercreek, Ohio Police. This account is not operated or endorsed by the Beavercreek, Ohio Police.
If youre dumb enough to point any kind of weapon at a police officer then you get whats coming to you, Ritchie says.
Id have done the same thing.
Responding to news about the woman, Angela Williams, who died while fleeing the officer who had opened fire, Ritchie comments, its probably the most tragic [thing] of the situation. The other guy kind of deserved it.
But Ritchie acknowledged to the detective that nothing he said on the phone was true. Crawford never shouldered the replica weapon.
I wouldnt say like it was a two hand carry. It was a one hand carry.
Up, or down to his side? Down
At one point theres a family that goes across with two young children. Id say probably 5 years old and he muzzle checked both of them.
That means that at some point, Ritchie is claiming a family walked in line with the barrel of the fake gun, even though he acknowledges Crawford never shouldered and aimed it at them.
Ritchie and his wife April didnt seem particularly concerned for their own safety either. We actually moved up closer to him which I know is kind of retarded.
In the YouTube description of the video, the Beavercreek Police page says: Ritchie backtracks and says he didnt look as if he was pointing it at him. It just kind of [gestures] where he was swinging it around and flashing the muzzle toward the children. But I know accidental discharge can go '
The YouTube page notes that Upon viewing what actually happened in the security video, Ritchie realizes the suspect may not have pointed his weapon at the officers.
Ritchie backtracks on his 911 call claims, saying: It just looked like, at the time, that he pulled the rifle to them and they shot him twice.
26:24 Ritchie continues to modify his story upon seeing the video evidence. He no longer seems so certain that the suspect pointed the gun at officers. But as soon as he [an officer] said Put it down. Put it down he [the suspect] looked over and just, I guess, how he looked at the officer with the gun [Ritchie shrugs].
The security video shows that despite turning his head toward the yelling officers, the rest of the suspects body remained facing a shelf. The autopsy shows that the officer fired at the suspects side.
Ritchie even acknowledges this, saying that he knows the suspects elbow has been blown out and that his liver was shot because he was eavesdropping on the investigation. He laughs about this, thinking that its pretty hilarious.
The general public did not learn about these details for over a month.
April Ritchies Facebook account posted a comment about the shooting, saying They told him to put the gun down. He pointed at them and they shot him. This becomes the narrative used by the media for months, until the actual security video becomes available. By that time the narrative had taken root in the public consciousness, even though it is nothing like what can be seen on the surveillance video.
It was sold at the WalMart and was obviously going to be purchased by Crawford.
Some cop-sucking sissy boy didn't like seeing a black man carrying it in the store so he lied his ass off and made up a bullshit story about the guy waving it around and threatening people - all of which were proved to be lies by the surveillance video.
His actions along with the police over-reaction are what led to the murder of John Crawford.
Let me guess - you never even read the article.
All the facts are there and yet you still don't fucking get it.
All three of you copsucking assholes.

He never said Crawford shouldered the replica weapon. How can he lie about something he never said?

Good grief, how can you be so dehydrated-rock-hard stupid?
If you aren't an idiot, you made a world-class effort at simulating one.
You are a waste of flesh. You have no rhythm. You are ridiculous and obnoxious. You are the moral equivalent of a leech. You are a living emptiness, a meaningless void. You are sour and senile. You are a disease, you puerile one-handed slack-jawed drooling meatslapper.

"We've all heard of "suicide by cop" - this caller committed murder by cop."
I call it Suicide by Stupidity. Darwinism. Cleaning out the gene pool.
Who, in this day and age, walks around a store waving an AR-15? Big mistake #1.
Fatal mistake #2: Not dropping the weapon when ordered to.
Yet you want to blame the caller (an ex-Marine whose only motive was to save lives) and the cop (who followed procedure). And you want these two charged with murder? Idiot.
Of course, after the next mass shooting you'll be asking why no one called 911 and why the cops didn't shoot the maniac. But then again, you're a hypocrite, so that's expected.
"But Ritchie acknowledged to the detective that nothing he said on the phone was true."
No he didn't. I watched the entire video of the interview by the detective. At no time does Ritchie say that.
But you say he did? Then I must have missed it. Give me the time stamp on the video where Ritchie "acknowledges to the detective that nothing he said on the phone was true."
You can't. Because you're a liar. You're smearing the name of an ex-Marine to cover for some ignorant asshole who deserved to die for being stupid.

Fatal mistake #2: Not dropping the weapon when ordered to.
He was never given a chance to comply.
The store surveillance video that was released showed Crawford standing in the aisle by himself carrying the toy gun. When police arrived, he was immediately shot, contradicting claims that they had given Crawford orders to drop the gun.
You're smearing the name of an ex-Marine...
If this guy is an ex-Marine, he is probably one of the most dishonorable Marines to ever have worn the uniform.
It displays your lack of character in defending him.
...to cover for some ignorant asshole who deserved to die for being stupid.
He died because the "ex-Marine" is a lying coward and the cops murdered him.

"He said he was pointing it at people. He wasn't."
He clarified that by saying the rifle Crawford was holding was pointed at people when he was swinging it around. He added that, had the rifle discharged, someone would have been shot.
If you were at a firing range and someone was walking around, swinging a loaded AR-15 such that the muzzle was pointed at you, you'd go apeshit. And rightfully so.
"He recanted most if not all of his story when questioned - did you read his statements in the article?"
I watched the video because I don't trust anything coutercurrentnews.com prints. He didn't recant shit. He stated what he saw. He clarified certain parts. For example, instead of "Crawford pointed the rifle" he said "the rifle Crawford was holding was pointed".
How many eyewitnesses to a criminal event as it's unfolding are 100% correct on what they think they saw? Doesn't make them liars.

8:25:40 - Dispatcher : "What's your name again sir?"
Ritchie : "my name is Ronald Ritchie...he just pointed it at two children."
He is lying - look at the video, Crawford does NOT point the gun at anyone. In fact he makes no movements towards the mother and kids whatsoever.
He never raised the weapon, or pointed it at anyone - INCLUDING the cops.
This was a cold blooded murder aided and abetted by a phone call by a lying coward.
You say he's not lying?
Then why did an Ohio judge find probable cause this week to charge the man whose 911 call led to police officers storming a Walmart and fatally shooting 22-year-old John Crawford III.
Ritchie faces a potential charge of making false alarms for reporting threatening behavior that appears to have been misleading to police. The first-degree misdemeanor carries a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. It is now up to prosecutors to decide whether to officially indict Ritchie.
Oh one more thing - if this guy (Ritchie) was an ex-Marine one would think he would assess the situation better before lying his ass off to the 911 dispatcher.
Oh, and the cops were cowards for shooting Crawford in the back while he was on the phone and posed no threat to anyone.
