anyone notice the success the Syrian army has been having in Syria or since the US is not involved perhaps it isn't newsworthy? Interesting what happens when you take some of the combatants out of the picture and let an army do what it is supposed to do. I think this might upset the Turks and the Saudi a little and perhaps even the US military industrial complex because we can bet Russia will get all those reequipment and reconstruction dollars. Viewed from the perspective of purely American national interest, American entry in World War II was very well-timed. From the perspective of the best interest of many others, an earlier US entry would have been preferrable; from the perspective of two of America's most important allies today, their best interests would have been best served had America never entered. It's all a matter of perspective.
