Bang / Guns Title: Gavin Newsom: Ammunition ‘The Most Dangerous Part’ of a Gun Californian Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom is hitching his 2018 gubernatorial campaign to a statewide ballot proposal that would sharply restrict the sale of ammunition. “It seems to me the most dangerous part of the weapon is not the weapon itself, it’s the ammunition,” he said April 1. He wants anyone buying ammunition to endure a background check similar to the one that would-be gun buyers currently have to pass to buy a firearm. According to the Press Democrat, Newsom, speaking at the Graton casino, told a story about being denied a Sudafed cold medicine purchase because he did not have a driver’s license to show at the pharmacy counter. He suggested it is strange that a person has to show ID to buy cold medicine but not ammunition. In addition to ammunition background checks, Newsom also pledged to add new reporting requirements for licensed firearms dealers, to increase reporting of prohibited gun owners to the FBI database, and to require a license for anyone selling ammunition. Newsom is also pushing a ban on the possession of “high capacity” magazines. He says such magazines are “disproportionately responsible for mayhem.” AWR Hawkins is the Second Amendment columnist for Breitbart News and political analyst for Armed American Radio. This guy is a smart progressive turd. OK, we won't f*ck with the 2nd Amendment. You can have all the guns you want but there ain't gonna be any ammo for them without our approval.
#2. To: SOSO (#1) Better buy it cheap, and stack it deep. You all that have weapons of standard calibers, like .38, 9mm, .45, .40SW, .223/5.56, 7.62x39, 7.62x54, .308, 30-06, can buy surplus, by the case. Those that invested in calibers that me & my buddies call "bastard calibers", like all the WSSM's, & ( my favorite ) .257 Roberts Ackley Improved, etc, you all are screwed. No surplus case lots for you all. Remember guys - LOGISTICS ! Get rid of the bastard calibers, get standard calibers, and don't have weapons of 20 different calibers. Streamline. LOGISTICS ! Have a friend that a gun shop saw him coming. Sold him a 7mm WSSM ( I think ). He can not afford to buy one box of ammo, if he can find it. Told him he needs to reload, but even then, it is still expensive. I told him he should re barrel it to something else, that is more common. He has tried to sell it, and no one will offer him more than $100.00. Poor guy! I would re barrel it if it were mine.
