I AM A PROPHET and I prophesy Title: meaning of Ar Mageddon "Ar Mageddon" is Hebrew for "City (or Cities) of the Sanctuary." The Revelation appears to be primarily talking about the original sanctuary of God, the Garden of Eden, but it may be that Jerusalem, the home of the second sanctuary, will also be dragged into the war at some point. The dried up Euphrates lies at the epicenter. That is, a vector (or way) drawn from Jerusalem to the epicenter of where Hussein dried up the Euphrates and then extended eastward, points to (and bisects) Baghdad, Raqqa, and Kabul, the home of the three "demon-posssed" kings of the east who start (have started) the final battle between good and evil. Two have already been killed off, the ISIS leader(s) is next in line. #2. To: TooConservative (#1) That poster is a complete asshole. It thinks it is a prognosticator.
#3. To: buckeroo (#2) I think he's flacking his own Left Behinder website, trying to suck LF's readers into his orbit for some quick page hits. He's really stuck on certain words he doesn't understand very well. Typically, he has his own novel take on the translation of these well-known words. So I kinda get why he's here at LF, regularly making posts about Armageddon and his own peculiar interpretations of the Revelation. What I don't get is what he thinks the payoff is going to be.
#4. To: TooConservative (#3) When he posts the next Powerball winning numbers let me know. For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8) #5. To: interpreter (#0) (Edited) This is fascinating. Several days ago, the word "Har Magaddon" was in my thoughts. And then I read this today. Where did you get the notion the Euphrates River is dried out already?
#6. To: TooConservative (#1) The word is found once in the NT and it is Harmagedon. It comes from the Hebrew Har Megiddo. No where is it called Har anything. It's Ar which means city. Geddo/Mageddo/Mageddon is found about 20 tomes in the Old Testament and it always means sanctuary, except one place where it refers to a pagan town called Mageddo and that is because there was a pagan sanctuary there. The word is still in use today. Ghetto is a variant spelling of Geddo which originally meant a sanctuary for Jews. I am a Jew, so I know a thing or two about Hebrew.
#7. To: redleghunter (#4) When he posts the next Powerball winning numbers let me know. I suspect you are trying to be funny. But I love to predict most anything. I am the best there has ever been at predicting the Texas Lotto. (I wrote a computer program to do it, and it worked pretty good).
#8. To: interpreter (#6) I am a Jew, so I know a thing or two about Hebrew. So am I a Jew. Could you please provide me some updated stock photos of the Euphrates River. I do believe you are correct about it becoming dried up but it sure helps to have some current photos to view.
#9. To: goldilucky (#5) This is fascinating. Several days ago, the word "Har Magaddon" was in my thoughts. And then I read this today. Where did you get the notion the Euphrates River is dried out already? The lower 50 miles of the Euphrates was dry for nine years, dried up by Saddam Hussein to prepare the way for the kings of the East as prophesied. The Euphrates was restored when the US invaded Iraq and toppled Hussein (by Iraq's Marsh Arabs who claim to have lived there since the days of Adam and Eve).

I do believe you are correct about it becoming dried up but it sure helps to have some current photos to view. The University of Texas made a map of Iraq in 1994 (based on aerial photos) that showed the lower 50 miles of the Euphrates as being completely dry. It's not on their website anymore but I'm sure they have it in their archives somewhere.

#12. To: TooConservative, sneakypete (#1) I can't find harmageddon in the Bible. I found Armageddon one time like you said. But I found this googling harmageddon. Pretty awesome
#13. To: A K A Stone (#12) To be honest,I'm not sure what to make of that. ISLAM MEANS SUBMISSION! Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012) American Indians had open borders. Look at how well that worked out for them. #14. To: sneakypete (#13) To be honest,I'm not sure what to make of that. Here is what I make of it Classical music and Heavy metal music are very similar. I like them both.

I do believe you are correct about it becoming dried up but it sure helps to have some current photos to view. I was in Iraq in 2003, 2006-2008 and 2009-2010. The Euprates had plenty of water flow from Babil to Basra. Saddam redirected some water flow away from the marsh lands in the south but the marshes were still there in 2007 when Iran was smuggling EFP IEDs on small boats across the Euphrates and Tigris. I traveled along both rivers several times by ground and helicopter and small fixed wing. My job required me to have the latest satellite imagery of the entire country. The rivers were not dried up then and not now. For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8) #16. You called me a liar when I reported the rivers were not dried up during my multiple deployments in Iraq. Now you said it was restored. When did the kings of the east cross over the rivers and who were they? For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. #18. To: redleghunter (#15) Great info, redleghunter. Incredible!
#19. To: interpreter (#10) I'll have to look into this.
#20. To: A K A Stone (#11) Access to the yuge libertysflame market. That has to be it.
#21. To: paraclete (#17) Yes yet to come. Yet the application of that particular prophecy from a military perspective means every bridge would be destroyed and military bridging capabilities not sufficient. The complex canal and irrigation system also present challenges to larger forces. For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8) #22. To: paraclete (#17) (Edited) The rivers will dry up when Turkey dams the rivers which they are doing Yes, some of the prophesies are fulfilled two or more times. Each time Turkey dries up the Euphrates and bombs our chief ally in the war on terror (the Kurds) it escalates the final battle between good and evil, and eventually Turkey will be kicked out of NATO (by Trump as he hinted at in today's news).
#23. To: redleghunter (#16) (Edited) I see you changed your story a bit. You called me a liar when I reported the rivers were not dried up during my multiple deployments in Iraq. Now you said it was restored. No kings of the east crossed the dried-up Euphrates except Hussein. The "way" of the kings of the east is the Jerusalem-Euphrates vector which very accurately points to (or bisects) the kings of the east who start the Battle of Ar Mageddon.
