The Establishments war on Donald Trump Title: GOP Sets Up Narrative: Party’s Future Now Depends on John Kasich With Ohio Gov. John Kasich having won his state’s GOP presidential primary, the national Republican Party is setting up the narrative that its future now depends on Kasich. In a press release, Kasich campaign chief strategist John Weaver said with Kasich winning Ohio – the only state he has won thus far – the primary race is a “whole new ballgame.” “As we’ve long-predicted and planned for, John Kasich won Ohio tonight, resetting the race,” Weaver said, continuing:
Conservative host Rush Limbaugh warned Tuesday that the GOP was setting up the narrative that its Party’s future “hangs on John Kasich.” Limbaugh said:
“John Kasich winning Ohio, they [the establishment] all believe, gives them the power/the right/the necessary energy and indication of support that they can go in and take control of this entire nominating process and do whatever they have to do to deny it to Trump,” Limbaugh said. “So that’s why they’re all claiming the future of the GOP today hangs on Ohio and what Kasich represents for them.” Following Kasich’s win in Ohio, Kasich for America announced an expansion of its national strategy council to include “four well-known political veterans from around the country: Stu Spencer, Charlie Black, Vin Weber and Tom Ingram.” “Governor Kasich showed tonight how you defeat Donald Trump and bring our party together,” said Weaver. “This is going to be a long road to the nomination in Cleveland, and we’re thrilled to grow our team of advisers with some of the best minds in the Republican Party.” (1 image) Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread Top • Page Up • Full Thread • Page Down • Bottom/Latest and we’re thrilled to grow our team of advisers with some of the best minds in the Republican Party Wow. Just cancel all other primaries, cancel the convention. Just hold a press conference, crown Kaisch king of the GOPe, tell everybody else " fuck you !; all you rubes eat our shit & like it !". /sarc The GOPe really thinks the base are stupid. Maybe they are. We will see I did note that yesterday, Rush when asked, thinks that at a brokered convention, that the establishment will insert Jebby Bush. I think a brokered convention will be the end of the Republican Party! To: cranky (#0) Hang onto that toilet bowl real tight GOPe, cause we're flushing your asses.
#4. To: Stoner (#2) I did note that yesterday, Rush when asked, thinks that at a brokered convention, that the establishment will insert Jebby Bush. You're kidding. I thought I read Limbaugh thought Romney was the stealth anti-Trump. There are three kinds of people in the world: those that can add and those that can't #5. To: calcon (#3) Hang onto that toilet bowl real tight GOPe, cause we're flushing your asses. That would be good. There are three kinds of people in the world: those that can add and those that can't #6. To: cranky (#4) " You're kidding." Not at all. And, I sure hope he is wrong. I think inserting Jebby would piss off the base as bad as if they inserted Mitt. I guess it is really academic. The GOPe will do something really stupid! To: cranky, Stoner (#4) You're kidding. The logical alternative for the party establishment is Paul Ryan. The party establishment has no viable compromise candidate. They do not have one that will not cause party revolt. They are not trying to win an election, they are trying to keep their own sorry asses holding the levers of party power after the election. They do not want Trump or Cruz. For them, losing the election is acceptable, Trump or Cruz is not. They have no way to sell that shit.
#8. To: nolu chan (#7) (Edited) " They have no way to sell that shit. " Yep. That would sell as good as McDonalds could sell a "dog shit sandwich" on a moldy rotten bun. Let the GOP take over McDonalds, they would change the name to McShits. They would would put cat shit in a little box, and they would call them McTurds Si vis pacem, para bellum Those who beat their swords into plowshares will plow for those who don't Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God. To: cranky (#0) This is all really easy to short-circuit. If it comes to a brokered convention, Trump and Cruz meet and tell their delegates that they've agreed that the ticket should be Trump/Cruz, Trump because he got the most votes, Cruz, because he got the second most. And that's that: the sum of all Establishment fears: Trump AND Cruz. And then Trump can go take out Hillary (because Trump is bulletproof), but Cruz can be in the insider dismantling and reassembling the Republican Party. Trump wins, and he gets the big picture things done, and Cruz is the professional heir to Trump who gives the revolution a lasting foundation. If the ankle-biters remain intransigent, then you reunify the party WITHOUT them by bringing conservatives and Democrat crossovers together to crush the party Establishment.
#10. To: cranky (#0) The party's FUTURE depends on admitting they've been BEATEN by Trump, and accepting Trump as their new master.
