The Establishments war on Donald Trump Title: Donald Trump: I have the GOP's support — they're already calling me Donald Trump tells TODAY's Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie "the biggest people in the party" are already calling to sit down with him as the presumptive GOP nominee. But Trump wouldn't reveal which Republican leaders have reached out, aside from a phone call he said he received last week from House Speaker Paul Ryan.
"A lot of people are calling because they see what's happening," the Republican billionaire candidate said in a phone interview Tuesday with TODAY.
Ryan spokesman Brendan Buck responded to Trump's claim by clarifying in a tweet that the "Speaker called him at his request." He also said Ryan called three other presidential candidates.
Trump said his campaign alone has attracted "millions of people" voting for the first time in the primaries and caucuses, propelling him to front-runner status.
"Those people are going to give us a tremendous victory in November," he said. Trump finds himself ahead in polls leading into a crucial set of elections Tuesday night, with comfortable margins ahead of Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and John Kasich. Numerous states will hold contests including Ohio, Florida, Illinois and other delegate-rich winner-take-all states. What remains to be seen is how protests and violence at recent Trump rallies will affect his momentum in the presidential race. His rivals, both Democrats and Republicans, have taken aim at the incendiary rhetoric Trump delivers at campaign events, and one of several anti-Trump groups has begun airing an ad that has women reciting actual derogatory comments Trump has made about women. Trump said he has not seen the ad but insisted he is leading in polls with women. To: cranky (#0) his campaign alone has attracted "millions of people" voting for the first time in the primaries and caucuses Millions of people who never bothered to be responsible enough to vote. Uhuh. Just what we need - a Tyrannical Majority of Useful Idiots. And, but but but, what happened to the promise that he's going to clean house... Why isn't he giving the finger to "The Establishment" instead of letting them cozy up close enough to kiss his arse?

I think they really believe that all Trump has is votes and that just isn't enough. There are three kinds of people in the world: those that can add and those that can't #8. To: cranky (#7) I think they really believe that all Trump has is votes and that just isn't enough. We'll see.
#9. To: Vicomte13 (#8) We'll see. Yep. But however it plays out, it promises to be very entertaining. There are three kinds of people in the world: those that can add and those that can't #10. To: VxH (#2)
At least Arnold had a broom! ![]() #11. To: cranky (#0) Donald Trump: I have the GOP's support — they're already calling me Yes,but WHAT are they calling you? ISLAM MEANS SUBMISSION! Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012) American Indians had open borders. Look at how well that worked out for them. #12. To: VxH (#2) Uhuh. Just what we need - a Tyrannical Majority of Useful Idiots. And there it is. We've been dominated by them for nearly 60 years. They have given us JFK, LBJ, the peanut farmer, two Bushs, the Clintons, Obama, a deteriorated economy, and a Mexican invasion. Across the creek they're responsible for Merkal, Cameron, and an islamic invasion. Aren't you accustomed to them yet?

#15. To: VxH (#14) Aren't you accustomed to them yet? You talk in terms of hypothetical rights. I talk in terms of real world consequences. You have a right to try reaching the top of niagra falls in a row boat going against the current. That doesn't mean you're going to make it. The reality of our present situation is that we're standing in a hole ten feet deep that we've dug for ourselves over a period of decades.
#16. To: rlk (#15) a hole ten feet deep that we've dug for ourselves over a period of decades. It took multiple generations to dig it, and it's going to take multiple generations to reform the Republic into its intended purpose - "TO SECURE THESE RIGHTS". It will require educating and raising up multiple generations who refuse to participate in the teat suckling exercise that has filled the vacuum - all while maintaining our security in the context of miscreants like Vlad Putin and the Communist Chinese.
#17. To: rlk (#15) I talk in terms of real world consequences. Did you watch the Chekist? "Face the doors!" is certainly a real world consequence.
