Who to vote for. Who knows. We should pray and ask Gods guidance and reflect on who would be best to lead our nation.

My views are most closely aligned with Ted Cruz.

Can Ted Cruz win? o me he seems to be an honorable man. I don't buy all this he is a liar stuff. If he won the nomination I would certainly vote for him. I'd trust him most to make good supreme court appointments. The problem with Cruz in my view is that I think he is probably a bit of a globalist. He seems to favor these international agreements that are stripping us of our soverignity Not to the degree of Obama or others but still seems to be part of that system.

Rubio. I never trusted him from the start. I never considered him tea party. I guess we all have our own views of what tea party is. I didn't trust him because all these fox people seemed to be pushing him real hard. Then his gang of 8 thing confirmed it and I have dismissed him. Maybe he isn't the worse. I think his supreme court picks would be better then Hillarys. But I also think Rubio is a globalist and his picks would reflect that. So there would be good and bad in his choices.

Ben Carson. He is written off. But now that I think of it he may be the best person running. Some may mock me for that but that is ok. Just because he is a moral man and his heart would be looking out for our best intrests. I heard him say that he thought cities and rural areas should have different laws regarding the second amendment. I disagree with him on that. But I don't think he wants to confiscate our guns or anything. Who knows maybe I'll vote for him.

Kasich. I used to like him. Used to respect him. Then he voted for the Brady bill and supported gun control. So I didn't vote for him when he ran for Governor in whatever year it was he originally ran. I don't remember if I voted for him when he ran a second time. Don't really like him. But I don't hate him either.

Trump. I like his toughness and direct talk. I like his image. I like a lot of what he wants to do. Like build a wall. That sounds good to me and many others. Though in the back of my mind I do wonder if it could someday become a wall to keep us in. I want America to be good again. I want us to win as he says. For us to build stuff here so that our people will have jobs. We are a people. We should look out for our own people first. Not integrate us into a system that makes us compete with people who are essentially slaves. That is short sighted and not in our best long term interests. Trump also has proven leadership abilities. When he wants to make it more easy to sue people for slander. That raises some concerns. There are lies in the media though. If they could be rooted out we would be better off. If that is possible. There are some other things also. I'm still thinking about voting for Trump also.

That is where I am at.

"The problem with Cruz in my view is that I think he is probably a bit of a globalist."

This contest is down to Trump and Cruz. Rubio is not even polling well in his home state -- and that's with JEB! gone.

Two problems with Cruz. First, until the USSC weighs in and declares him a natural born citizen, I'm concerned about that. He may very well be a natural born citizen. But until it's settled, I'm afraid many voters will be reluctant to "waste their vote" on someone who may be declared ineligible down the road. The MSM and the Democrats haven't even started to hit him on this issue. They're waiting and that scares me.

Second, I don't trust Cruz. I think he can be bought and will be bought by special interests and the establishment. He'll get to Washington and cave, just like many others before him. He'll be forced to negotiate with Democrats in order to get anything through Congress.

Washington needs an outsider to clean things up. I know Trump's the guy -- not because of those who endorse him, but because of those who hate his guts. A man is defined by his enemies.

Trump has already promised he'll negotiate with the Dems.

this is the comment I was responding to:

'He'll (Cruz)get to Washington and cave, just like many others before him. He'll be forced to negotiate with Democrats in order to get anything through Congress.'

Do you think Reagan's negotiations were cave ins ? I have already pointed out that Cruz 'history suggests he won't cave even if it means not having friends in his own party.

My $0.02:

As much as we admire Ronald Reagan and the fact that he was the most conservative president since Calvin Coolidge, we need to be honest about what he accomplished.

And in the long term, it wasn't really much. (no reflection on him, it's a reflection on the corrupt political system)

Government still grew under his watch (albeit more slowly than it might have otherwise). And he was forced to put GHW Bush on his ticket as his VP.

Who - upon his election in '88 - basically undid all the gains that Reagan and conservatism had made.

And his (Bush I's) failed presidency led to the Xlintons. And the rest is history.
