Has the mild-mannered nice guy who once beautifully put President Barack Obama on his heels at the National Prayer Breakfast back in 2013 duped us all? Well, it may be a stretch to go that far, but Republican presidential candidate and former neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson is certainly riding out his campaign, which he knows full well is over, for personal gain. Carson, who peaked in October, finished a disappointing fourth in Iowa and took a devastating eighth in New Hampshire. As The Daily Wire’s Aaron Bandler noted Thursday, “the people don't support Carson, as he's only polling at 7.8 percent nationally, 8.7 percent in South Carolina and is clearly lagging in momentum. Carson is only delaying the inevitable.” Indeed he is. Here are three reasons why Carson’s continuing campaign, which he knows is over, is actually a total scam. 1. Carson is still reaping the benefits of the costly Secret Service As reported in November, Dr. Carson (as well as Donald Trump) is being provided a Secret Service detail. His campaign staff is bleeding out, but as long as Carson stays in this race that he surely can’t win, he continues to reap the personal benefits of their costly protection. 2. Carson is still building a large donor list As Red State notes, Carson is profiting directly from a “direct mail fundraising scam” where the presidential “hopeful” is “building a large list of donors to be rented commercially”: His campaign, right now, is nothing more than a direct mail fundraising scam with the objective of building a large list of donors to be rented commercially. It is no accident that the single largest source of contributions to Ben Carson, as his campaign reported to the FEC, is income from mailing list rental. 3. Carson is attacking Ted Cruz for personal gain only This might just be the sleaziest one of all: a possible quid pro quo seems to be brewing between Carson and his new BFF Donald Trump. Yes, the same Donald Trump who once likened him to a pathological child molester. As of late, Carson has been hell-bent on besmirching Senator Ted Cruz, who happens to be Trump’s biggest competition. Dr. Carson blamed his low polling in Iowa on Cruz, who capitalized on the absurdity of Carson leaving Iowa to take a break and change his damn clothes, which CCN reported, by the way. Carson even said that he would consider being second on the ticket to Trump (sounds like something a highly competitive candidate would say too, right?). Something smells fishy between these two foes-turned-besties, Cough, surgeon general position, cough. Ben Carson, just stop it. And for the love of all things holy, like the odd picture you have in your house, please drop out.

Dr. Carson is taking fat cat warmongering globalist donors from Hillary and Jeb!, and knocking both of them them down in the polls too. Ben is like a Siamese Fighting Fish waiting for the combatants Hillary, Trump, and Jeb! to become exhausted, and then moving in for the kill. It's tough to say who'll drop out first, Hillary, Jeb!, Trump, or Rubio. May they fight to the death! потому что Бог хочет это тот путь
So are some others. And they can't all win. It's too soon to pull his detail. He has a savvy Facebook-based operation. I've seen campaign pundits observe that Carson's entire campaign looks like an operation that exists to raise money, not to win. They spend a large amount of the money they take in going back to the donors over and over to rake in more. I think this does help him sharpen his appeals for more funding. "That mean Cruz cheated us, give me more and we'll finally beat him". Carson's accusation seems ridiculous. Carson and his wife and some surrogates were steadily campaigning. No one thought he had dropped out. And no Carson supporter has complained they just went home after the rumor. After all, 80%-90% of the Iowa voters have smartphones and could check the status of Carson's campaign. Or call their designated handler(s) at Carson's HQ. There were many precincts where the rumor didn't circulate and Carson did poorly in those as well. Carson is running out of excuses for why he isn't winning anything.
