A new ad for the South Carolina audience by the Trump campaign calls Ted Cruz the "worst kind of Washington Insider" and asks, "What kind of man is Ted Cruz?" What kind indeed, voters will likely ask themselves as they hear of the conduct of Cruz and his campaign.

The ad points out inconsistencies and dirty tactics used by the Ted Cruz Campaign, claiming that Cruz has spoken from both sides of the issue of amnesty for illegal immigrants, and that Cruz denies any inconsistency despite being record on television presenting both perspectives. Loans in excess of a million dollars not disclosed by Cruz in his campaign filing papers—as is required by law—are also subject to scrutiny in the ad, as is Cruz's misconduct in the Iowa Caucus, where his campaign falsely told voters that Ben Carson was no longer running.

I believe that was CNN that screwed up and Cruz used their info.

Will Cruz and Trump take each other out and let bush or rubio win in the end?

I believe that was CNN that screwed up and Cruz used their info.

CNN did correct it after a while. Cruz's guys didn't issue any corrections.

OTOH, this really happened over the course of an hour or two during a hectic time for all the campaigns as the candidates campaigned at the caucuses and the campaign staffs were worried about their turnout, not correcting misinformation from CNN and BusinessInsider (CarsonSuspendsCampaign) and other news sites. Not that you could prove that Team Cruz knew better but that doesn't answer the full question either.

Also, it's not as if Carson's supporters were somehow cut off from contact with the outside world. If anyone said Carson was dropping out, all they had to do was check his Facebook page or call a local campaign office (which all the precinct captains were in contact with). So Carson's claims that it changed anything amount to nothing. They can't produce a single voter who said they went home or voted for someone else because of the Cruz "rumors".

And Carson knew he was finished anyway. That's why he went home to Florida to pick up duds to wear to the national prayer breakfast (where lightning was not going to strike twice). Carson again revealed he was done when he left New Hampshire in the afternoon before people had stopped casting ballots. If Carson was serious, he would have waited and attended his own post-primary party with his supporters. Instead, he was gone, like he was dropping out. Which is what he is doing, even if he won't admit it yet. I'm not impressed with his blame-Cruz pique when it's obvious that his own decline in the polls is due to his poor performance as a retail political candidate. And letting his "buddy", Armstrong Williams, play attention-whore by giving bad interviews to every media source that came trolling, to the point where Carson's top three campaign staff (who raised all that money for him) resigned en masse.

Will Cruz and Trump take each other out and let bush or rubio win in the end?

Bush is going full-bore after Kasich and Rubio in South Carolina, prepared to spend his last dollar on it.

As if I could despise the Bushes any more but that is despicable. What Bush doesn't want is Trump. But he won't attack Trump until he is the last GOPe candidate standing. By then, it's likely that either Trump (or Cruz) will have a virtual lock on the nomination.

What kind of man ?....."worst kind of Washington Insider"??????

This is the same Senator who walked onto the floor of the Senate and called Mitch McConnell a liar . If Cruz is an insider then we need a lot more like him .

For my part, I don't hate people for being "insiders". Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe were the ULTIMATE insiders.

The issue, for me, is not who is "inside" and who is "outside", but what the insiders DO with their power, and what they seek.

Ted Cruz is aligned with the interests of Goldman Sachs. That is a simple and incontrovertible fact. His wife is a managing director of Goldman, and he himself received a heretofore undisclosed million dollar loan from them on sweetheart terms.

Now, there's nothing wrong with being an insider at Goldman Sachs, as such. It's not illegal. But Goldman has a very specific political agenda that favors ITS interests, which are not mine, and not for the general good of the country.

Governent bailout of the banking industry, "quantitative easing", open trade with China and the world - these things all benefit Goldman Sachs and the financial class that Cruz supports. They destroy middle America.

With Cruz, we may get a closed border with Mexico, but we're going to have more of the same economic policy, but without the social safety net to protect against the inevitable effects of those policies - unemployment for working class Americans.

So, Cruz is not the devil. Insiders are not evil per se. They have interests and they represent interests, and those interests are not good for the rest of us. That is why Cruz should not be the nominee: his economic policy will continue the decline of America, by making the Goldman Sachs class even richer, and helping see to it they run the board even further.

Besides that, Cruz is creepy and he won't win the general election. Trump will, and his economics are better for middle America.

If the Republicans decide to have Cruz, they are deciding to have a Democrat in the White House. Because when it comes down to it, if we're going to have free trade, we have to have the massive social safety net that Democrats put up (in their ramshackle way) or else the misery of the former middle and working classes would rise to levels of desperation.

Democrat socialism is a palliative against the savage poverty that un-protected free trade and open borders would otherwise visit on us.

The better answer would be to get Americans back to work by putting the Communist Chinese out of work. Let THEM have to spend THEIR money on a social safety net over there - then they won't have that money to build aircraft carriers to kill us.

Will Cruz and Trump take each other out and let bush or rubio win in the end?

I believe that's been the plan all along.

My money is still riding on Bush vs Clinton in November.

The Only Thing You Need to Know About John Kasich

Fast forward to presidential race 2016, and we find a commentary in the Chicago Tribune today titled, “What Republicans Lose if Jeb Bush Fails,” which points out on cue, “If this were a script, you would now write in a timely entrance by the seasoned, well-credentialed Jeb Bush.”

SINCE IT IS A SCRIPT, we can easily see what’s going on here.

In fact, the whole campaign on the GOP side is being run as if the entire strategy is to get this historically unpopular dynasty brat elected. Ted Cruz, the pretend tea party conservative who cheated in Iowa by lying about Ben Carson dropping out to suck up Carson’s votes, is also a long-time Bush minion as we’ve previously (and repeatedly) reported. He was a Bush lawyer and advisor when he met his Goldman Sachs, Council on Foreign Relations, pro-North American Union wife Heidi — also a Bush advisor.

Cruz would lay down for Jeb in a heartbeat. So would Kasich. So would Floridian Rubio who Jeb has previously declared he is a “huge fan” of.

You see where we’re getting at here? Any of these guys would gleefully be VP for Jeb in less than two seconds if tapped.

On top of that, don’t forget about the potential of a brokered convention. What if all these closeted Bush-ites get together like good little boys and hand over their delegates to Bush? It could happen. And all the Trump supporters have to realize by now that the elite won’t let Trump anywhere near the White House, no matter how popular he is in the polls. Ron Paul was real popular once upon a time, and look what happened to him.

We’ve said it a hundred times but here it is once again for effect: the game, folks, is rigged. The people running it who want dynasties like the Bush clan in power again and again but know the public can’t stand them anymore have to make this election puppet show look legit somehow.

“Truth is treason in the empire of lies.” - Ron Paul

If the Republicans steal the nomination from Trump after he has won the most delegates, Trump will run as an independent. He may win as an independent. Or the Democrat may - which guarantees a liberal Supreme Court now that Justice Scalia has died.

The stakes got exponentially higher today with Scalia's death, because the Republicans have controlled the Supreme Court since 1969. The current Senate will not ratify an Obama choice, and any gap appointment will be a lame duck from the get go. Roberts can slow down the Supreme Court process and calendar to ensure that Obama can't rush through a bunch of decisions with a temporary, gap-appointed majority. But the next President will pick the justice that maintains the status quo, or that makes the Court majority liberal.

Things are about to become very intense and polarized.

Come on Ron Paul was a fringe candidate that never had anywhere close to the support Trump has.

Also we know the elite won't let Trump win. He will win though despite their efforts. No one lets their opponent win.
