Skip to 1:20 below for the key bit. If you’ve been waiting for Cruz to hammer the point that Trump is erratic and potentially dangerous as president, a fear that seemed to have resonance in Iowa, here it is in spades. That’s a smart way to appeal to undecideds, I think, even more so than attacking Trump’s conservative heresies because unpredictability is a quality that most voters naturally disdain in someone running for the world’s most powerful job. Even if you’re at peace with Trump deviating here and there from Reagan orthodoxy, chances are you’re not thrilled at the thought of presidential tweetstorms whenever he doesn’t get his way on something. Rich Lowry rightly praises Cruz here for deftly weaving mockery and substantive criticism of Trump’s record together, which is true, but I’m surprised that Cruz doesn’t emphasize what Trump’s loss in Iowa says about his managerial acumen. That’s the way to kill Trump — not by calling him a RINO, which many of his fans don’t care about, but by using Iowa as proof that the Great and Powerful Oz wasn’t so great and powerful when it counted. If America’s going to do so much winning under Trump that we all get bored with winning, how come the winning didn’t start in Iowa? If you think the Trump/Cruz war is fun, wait until the Palin/Cruz war heats up. There’s probably no advantage to Cruz in engaging there, but Palin’s doing her best to bait him. Meanwhile, as Trump and his surrogates go kitchen-sink on Cruz and suck up all the available media oxygen, the Christie/Bush/Kasich triad that’s trying to take down Rubio is gasping for air. Someone’s going to need to explain to me later why Trump is bombing Cruz this week instead of the guy who’s piling up endorsements and donations and seems to be the biggest threat to Trump in New Hampshire. Exit question: How far up the Canadian chain of command does the great Iowa fraud go? Update: More from Trump on his ground-game failure in Iowa: “Well, I think we could have used a ground game, a term I wasn’t even familiar with,” he said. “You know, when you say ground game, I say what the hell is that? Now I’m familiar with it. I think in retrospect we should have had a better ground game. I would have funded a better ground game, but you know, people told me that my ground game was fine, and by most standards it was.” Not true, says Politico. Trump didn't spend a few million to try to win Iowa with a real ground operation. Now he faces Rubio and Cruz and a long expensive race to the nomination.
Trump had the chance to shut out the entire field with wins in Iowa and New Hampshire. He blew it. And I think he now realizes that which is why he's running around like Carson's greatest defender.
Let's recall instead that Carson's real nosedive in the polls from 30% down to 10% came after Trump's direct attacks on him as "pathological", as incurable as a "child molester".

But Donaldo wants to pose as Carson's defender now, just to cover that he lost Iowa from his own cheap-ass campaigning.
I'll post more on this later. Trump's campaign was helpless because he wouldn't give them the money to organize the state properly. They couldn't even do a half-ass job on that budget.

I think that as of now they are all named Trump. Actually Dollar Donald doesn't contribute to his campaign, he lends money to it which the campaign can repay if/when others eventually contribute to it. I suspect that at the minimum he could write the loans off as bad debt if no-one else contributes and get a tax break for the amount.
BTW, do you know how Hillary's 2008 campaign got out of millions in debt after she lost? Look it up, you'll get a better idea on how this game is played.

Also,I still believe he is running for two purposes. One is to pump up an ego already the size of the known universe,and the other is to emerge as the top alleged Republican candidate so he can drop out late in the race for cash and future considerations (Perot,part 2) so the Dim candidate can win because it will be too late for any other candidate to put together a good campaign. He will then spend the rest of his life bragging about how "I COULD have been the president of the US if I wanted,but I decided the job was beneath me."

If you have the ability to check into it,I'd almost be willing to bet he bought control of the hat company and agreed to pay $15.95 for the $5.95 hats in order to boost quarterly sales figures to pump up the price of the stock. His business and his political strategy are geared to operate the same way. It's all about Trump,all the time. Don't forget,he is also charging his own campaign for the use of his private jet to fly him around in (already up to 700 grand last month),as well as the expenses for his bodyguards,his personal assistants,his limo,etc,etc,etc. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to learn after taxes are filed next year that he even charged his campaign for his personal appearances and his speeches. In short, his presidential campaign is paying the day to day expenses of Trump Industries,or whatever he calls his mother ship.
