SRV's sound checks were better than most people's concerts, and he wasn't playing for money or a crowd. Just the sound tech geeks and himself.
And here is what he would do once warmed up and playing for a crowd.
Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012)
American Indians had open borders. Look at how well that worked out for them.
You must have spent the afternoon digging through some boxes of old LPs you are hoarding. : )
Decades back, you had a lot more raw talent and musicianship, largely because you couldn't just keep massaging and editing with computers endlessly. Also you just had a much bigger music scene in the popular culture, alot more people willing to turn out to the big concert venues so you had more numbers of audience and more chances for music talent to make a good livinv, maybe even get a big record contract with a major label. But the old studio system is dead. Now we have YouBoob and America's Got Retards and other talent shows that seeme to drive the pop music scene.
SRV is my all time favorite string bender, followed by Carlos Santana.
In that case you are going to LOVE this one.
Speaking for myself, there are a BUNCH of things that *I* love about this one.

I probably should have saved this Santana video to start out a Saturday Music thread.
