#2. To: cranky (#0) " GOP Establishment would Rather Lose to Clinton than Surrender to Trump " Ef the GOPe ! If Trump, wins, you will see a bunch of them bail out & join the DNCe. Good riddance! Then, & only then will the Republican Party be rebuilt! Si vis pacem, para bellum Those who beat their swords into plowshares will plow for those who don't Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God. There are no Carthaginian terrorists. “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.” - George S. Patton #3. To: Stoner (#2) Ef the GOPe ! I believe the GOPe are little more than bagmen for their big donors and simply do what the highest bidders want them to do. There are three kinds of people in the world: those that can add and those that can't #4. To: A K A Stone (#1) maybe you should read the article . It heavily quotes Bush speech writer David Frum. He is advocating a move away from core conservative principles for the party .The article quotes Frum's article in this month's 'Atlantic' magazine where he urges the party to take steps for the government to protect retirement security as well as investing in hard infrastructure, and mending Obamacare instead of simply pushing to repeal it. In other words the party should adopt Trump's move away from conservative orthodoxy . Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? #5. To: tomder55 (#4) Joe Snuffy is a old poster I miss. His tag line read, 'The best way to control the opposition is to lead it'. It's a Lenin quote, and fits your party nicely. 'What kind of man gives cigarettes to trees?' #6. To: tomder55 (#4) In other words the party should adopt Trump's move away from conservative orthodoxy . Trump is right about those things.
#7. To: cranky (#3) I believe the GOPe are little more than bagmen for their big donors and simply do what the highest bidders want them to do. Your belief is correct.
#8. To: Vicomte13 (#7) I believe the GOPe are little more than bagmen for their big donors and simply do what the highest bidders want them to do. The GOPe are little more than bagmen for their own pretentious parasitic life styles.
#9. To: A K A Stone, tomder55, *Humor* (#1) This article that I haven't read describes you perfectly. You haven't read it,but it describes him perfectly? Amazing! Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012) American Indians had open borders. Look at how well that worked out for them. #10. To: Stoner (#2) If Trump, wins, you will see a bunch of them bail out & join the DNCe. That would almost be enough to make ME vote for Trump. Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012) American Indians had open borders. Look at how well that worked out for them. #11. To: sneakypete (#10) I expect Lindsey Graham will be switching parties soon. He will be like Arlen Specter who bailed on the party when he was about to lose a primary . Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? #12. To: tomder55 (#11) I expect Lindsey Graham will be switching parties soon. He will be like Arlen Specter who bailed on the party when he was about to lose a primary . It wouldn't surprise me. I think JEB would switch too,if it weren't for the next generation of Bush traitors already making their political bones in Texas politics. I think that it's over for them, though. Just like it's over for the Kennedy Klan. Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012) American Indians had open borders. Look at how well that worked out for them. #13. To: Dead Culture Watch (#5) Joe Snuffy is a old poster I miss. Whatever happened to him? Non auro, sed ferro, recuperando est patria #14. To: nativist nationalist (#13) He opused from LP years ago. Think it may have been some of the racial overtones there he was t comfortable with. But, my memory is a little hazy on this. Shame, I really enjoyed his posts. In fact, the only reason I post here at all anymore is because I have come to like many here. I spend much more time at a sports forum these days, they also have a politics section, so I feel welcome there. Some very funny and smart folks there as well.
