International News Title: Trump Postpones Israel Trip Until ‘After I Become U.S. PresidentÂ’ JERUSALEM – Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he is postponing his upcoming trip to Israel that had been scheduled for later this month. Trump said he was postponing the visit and a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu until “after I become President of the U.S.” Donald Trump made the following announcement on Twitter: Donald J. Trump ✔ Trump’s postponement came after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday rejected comments on Muslim immigration made in recent days by the presidential candidate. Netanyahu, however, recognized that radical Islam is a threat to Muslims, Christians and Jews worldwide. The Republican frontrunner has called for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.” In response, Netanyahu’s office released a statement to reporters affirming, “The prime minister rejects the recent comments by Donald Trump regarding Muslims.” “Israel respects all religions and stickily preserves the rights of all its citizens,” the statement said, adding that “at the same time, Israel is struggling against the radical Islamism that targets Muslims, Christians and Jews as one and poses a threat to the entire world.” The statement continued: The Prime Minister has set a uniform policy to agree to meeting requests with all US presidential candidates who come to Israel. This policy does not reflect support of candidates or their positions, but expresses the importance that the Prime Minister attributes to the strong alliance between Israel and the US. Speaking on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, Trump clarified that under his proposal American Muslims can come and go as they please. Trump expressed his hopes that a shutdown “will go quickly,” as soon as “our leaders figure out what the hell is going on.” “If a person is a Muslim, goes overseas and comes back, they can come back. They’re a citizen. That’s different,” Trump explained. “But we have to figure things out.” Speaking on CNN on Tuesday, Trump further warned that the country risks more terrorist attacks if his plan for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration is not implemented. “You’re going to have many more World Trade Centers if you don’t solve it – many, many more and probably beyond the World Trade Center,” Trump told CNN’s Chris Cuomo. Trump speculated that there are already terrorists inside the country. “They want our buildings to come down; they want our cities to be crushed. … They are living within our country. And many of them want to come from outside our country.” In a statement released to reporters on Monday, Trump cited a poll from the Center for Security Policy showing that segments of the Muslim population hold anti-American views. According to Pew Research, among others, there is great hatred toward Americans by large segments of the Muslim population. The Center for Security Policy released data showing “25% of those polled agreed that violence against Americans here in the United States is justified as a part of the global jihad” and 51% of those polled “agreed that Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah.” Trump urged Americans to better understand the ideology of radical Islam before allowing Muslims into the country. Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension. Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life. Poster Comment: Jews for Jihad sticking their bid noses into our immigration policy. Nice to see a president who'll be America First instead of Israel First. If Bibi thinks Islamic immigration is so great he can tear down his own wall. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread Top • Page Up • Full Thread • Page Down • Bottom/Latest #1. To: nativist nationalist (#0) I thought you couldn't run for president as a Republican without making multiple trips to Israel first. Hasn't Huck made over 30 trips there? Even Rand Paul has gone a few times (and few other places overseas).
#2. To: nativist nationalist (#0) If Bibi thinks Islamic immigration is so great he can tear down his own wall. Israel does have its own migrant invader problem despite the walls. That includes African migrants, something most people don't hear about. Wiki: Illegal immigration from Africa to Israel It is comparable to how illegal immigrants formed a cheap labor force here in America for so many years. It started around 2005 and keeps growing. So I'm not sure how Bibi would react generally on illegal immigrant labor. Israel is far less an ethnic and Jewish religious state than it once was. Jewish Christians have a large but hidden presence. It used to be that that was the one thing a Jew could be to get rejected from living in Israel. You don't hear about it much now. So Israel is not how it used to be.
#3. To: nativist nationalist (#0) Really, Bibi? You reject Trump's statements about Muslim immigration? And how many Muslims has Israel permitted to immigrate into its borders in the past few years? Mmmmhmmmm. Trump isn't going to Israel. Israel has distanced itself from Trump. That's good. He's not taking their money either. Which means that, when elected, Trump will owe Israel and the Americans Jews precisely NOTHING, and 80% will have voted against him. Which means that he can undertake American foreign policy untainted by bribes and foreign influence peddling. And that could mean that America slashes most of its foreign aid to both Israel AND the oil-rich Arab world. America doesn't owe the Arabs or the Israelis anything, and with Israel's rejection of Trump, and the American Jewish voter rejection of Trump, Trump will not owe the Jews anything other than the back of the hand. Good.
#4. To: TooConservative (#2) But how many MUSLIMS has Israel allowed to immigrate? If a Jew identifies himself as a Muslim, will they let him become a citizen?
#5. To: TooConservative (#1) I thought you couldn't run for president as a Republican without making multiple trips to Israel first. Along with promising to move our embassy to Jerusalem. They don't actually expect to see the promise kept, they just expect to see the grovelling at the feet of AIPAC. Sort of a staple of American politics, just like how every new president "gave away Wrangel Island." Non auro, sed ferro, recuperando est patria #6. To: Vicomte13 (#4) (Edited) But how many MUSLIMS has Israel allowed to immigrate? They do have Druze in Israel.
If a Jew identifies himself as a Muslim, will they let him become a citizen? I dunno.
#7. To: nativist nationalist, All (#0) Trump said he was postponing the visit and a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu until “after I become President of the U.S.” I guess Dollar Donald won't be seeing Bibi anytime in the foreseaable future. потому что Бог хочет это тот путь #8. To: TooConservative (#6) (Edited) Yes, they HAVE Druze in Israel, Christians and Muslims too - but those people have always been in Israel. They were there when the Jews showed up, and they weren't all driven out. So they're Israelis of one stripe or another. Trump has not suggested deporting American citizens who are Muslim. He has called for a temporary ban on travel to the US or immigration into the US by foreign Muslims except for those who have a special status (e.g.: athletes traveling to the US for international competitions). During the hiatus, we will be able to get more focused on the radicals here, and do something about them, trace them down, uproot their networks. And shoot the ones that are undertaking terrorist operations. We'll be able to get the spy networks in place in the mosques, shut the radical mosques, and get things well in hand, so that when we finally reopen the borders to Muslim visas and some immigration, we are able to process the incomers, monitor them, examine their beliefs and backgrounds, and keep out the radicals or expel those who start being radical. Israel doesn't let Muslims or Christians or Druze immigrate. It's a Jewish state. Only Jews can immigrate. And given this, Israeli politicians are cordially invited to shut the fuck up about American immigration policies regarding Muslims. If they won't, when Trump is President he should take punitive measures against Israel for meddling in matters of American national security.
