Former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb will announce Tuesday he is considering an independent bid for the White House, his campaign announced, as his long-shot bid for the Democratic nomination continues to flounder.
Webb will hold a press conference at the National Press Club to discuss his candidacy, the campaign and his views of` the political parties in the current election cycle, the campaign said in a statement.
His performance in last weeks Democratic debate was widely panned, with the candidate spending much of his time complaining he wasnt a part of the discussion on stage. Webb stands at 1.2 percent support nationally, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average, and hasnt polled above 3 percent in any of the early voting states.
Webb has raised a paltry $691,972 through the end of September, his campaign revealed in its quarterly filing with the Federal Election Commission, and has just $316,765 on hand.

I'm surprised he didn't puke on Hillary. One debate was all it took to convince him to throw the D&R party under the bus. Definitely the most improved candidate.
He's not perfect, but at least he's renounced his allegiance to the mob, the D&R Crime Syndicate.
