Title: Saudi Arabia offers Germany 200 mosques – one for every 100 refugees who arrived last weekend

Saudi Arabia has reportedly responded to the growing number of people fleeing the Middle East for western Europe – by offering to build 200 mosques in Germany.

Syria’s richer Gulf neighbours have been accused of not doing their fair share in the humanitarian crisis, with Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and the UAE also keeping their doors firmly shut to asylum-seekers.

According to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, which quoted a report in the Lebanese newspaper Al Diyar, Saudi Arabia would build one mosque for every 100 refugees who entered Germany in extraordinary numbers last weekend.

It would be unfair to suggest that the Gulf Arab states have done nothing to help the estimated four million Syrians who have fled their country since the start of the conflict in 2011.

Just this week, the al Hayat newspaper reported that 500,000 Syrians had found homes in Saudi Arabia since the civil war began – as workers, not refugees.

There have also been significant contributions from rich individuals towards the upkeep of refugee camps round the Syrian border, estimated by the BBC to total around $900 million (£600 million).

But amid a history of competition between the Gulf states and Iranian-allied nations, there is a deep fear that allowing an influx of Syrian refugees could also let in Syrians loyal to Bashar al-Assad.

There also exists a more general concern about demographic change, leaving the states opposed to the idea of welcoming refugees. In the UAE, foreign nationals already outnumber citizens by more than five to one.

Back in Germany, Angela Merkel welcomed two refugee families at a home for asylum-seekers in the Berlin suburb of Spandau on Thursday.

She told reporters after the visit: “Their integration will certainly take place in part via the children, who will learn German very quickly in kindergarten. And I hope and believe that the great majority will want to learn our language very quickly.”

Whether she will welcome Saudi Arabia’s reported offer, which Al Diyar noted would “have to go through the federal authorities”, remains to be seen.

I have a counterproposal...Let's build more churches in the Muslim countries for the undergound home churches...Oh that's right, 'they' kill anyone who is not Muslim but Europe opens their borders as beggars to their own demise.

but Europe opens their borders as beggars to their own demise.

The Europeans have a negative replacement rate and the only place they can turn for population is parts of the world where the people don't want to become European in any meaningful sense .

The angel added, “I will increase your descendants so much that they will be too numerous to count.” ......... The angel of the Lord also said to her:“You are now pregnant and you will give birth to a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the Lord has heard of your misery.

He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.” Gen 16:11-12

The continent will be over-whelmed and conquered .

I keep hearing this. What I don't hear is an actual reason why any stable western country needs more people to the point where they allow these 3 rd world shitheads and parasites in to live in their countries.

It's a problem because the number of retired citizens drawing public pensions rises in relation to the number of workers supporting the system.

"In our time all Greece was visited by a dearth of children and generally a decay of population, owing to which the cities were denuded of inhabitants, and a failure of productiveness resulted, though there were no long-continued wars or serious pestilences among us…. For this evil grew upon us rapidly, and without attracting attention, by our men becoming perverted to a passion for show and money and the pleasures of an idle life, and accordingly either not marrying at all, or, if they did marry, refusing to rear the children that were born, or at most one or two out of a great number, for the sake of leaving them well off or bringing them up in extravagant luxury."

('The Histories' by Polybius who wrote about the decline of Hellenistic Greece) .

I keep hearing that,but I don't buy it.

Fewer workers to pay the taxes to support the pensions will naturally result in higher wages. Workers that earn more, pay more taxes. Supply and demand is a natural law.

The financial problem ain't the geezers that worked and paid taxes all their lives drawing pensions. The financial problem is all the young people that refuse to work because they can draw enough in welfare benefits to live a middle-class lifestyle without having to work, and they can stay awake all night partying because they don't have to get up early to go to work.

And given that the new immigrants that are coming in will be eligible for the same welfare programs as the young citizens,WTF makes anybody think THEY are going to work, when a "free" middle-class lifestyle by western standards is the equivalent of being wealthy to them. If you are already "wealthy" from just breathing, why the hell would you get up off your butt and actually go to work?

But reality has a different story . In 1950 the ratio was 5:1 worker per SS recipient . Today it's 2.8 and shrinking ....and it would've been worse without immigration. Even If wages increased ,all that means is a higher percentage of youth incomes would still be required to service the needs of the geezers ...or we get into these other discussions about geezers having to work longer into life before eligibility . Who will the geezers sell their homes to ? (something we ought to be considering...or at least people my age should be considering ). No we don't want to be like Japan where more adult diapers get sold than baby diapers .

The problem statement is framed accurately and truthfully Tom.

The ratio problem has many root causes. One of which is the American disposable baby market---abortion.

Then think of unintended consequences of SS itself . In the past ,the family was responsible for the well-being of the geezers . So when the geezers were young ,it was in their best interest to have babies . Now the nanny state has taken that burden away from people . Since government programs provide for geezers ,young adults have had that consideration taken away from them. Economically it cost them to raise kids . If the government is going to care for them when they are old ,then where is the economic incentive to raise kids? Heck just add up the costs from cradle to post college ! Why should a parent bother when they are guaranteed that the nanny state will take care of their needs as they get older ?
