To: sneakypete (#4) You can stream YouTube to your Roku as you know. Much the same thing. A Chromecast can override a compliant TV's HDMI inputs and force the TV to display the Chromecast's output, then switch to a YouTube stream, a Netflix stream, a tab from a Chrome browser on your computer, also a few other compliant streaming services. A Chromecast relies on a PC or smartphone to initiate the streaming where a Roku has more ability to browse and select videos to stream itself.
