People should not be shocked about the outrageous questions posed by Fox News moderators at Thursday night's prime time debate. The event was more like an evening of multiple-candidate gotcha interviews in prime time rather than a formal presidential debate. With the enormous backlash brewing against Megyn Kelly which largely stems from her attacks on Donald Trump, some might almost start to feel sorry for her. Well, not so fast. It turns out that this is certainly not the first time Megyn Kelly has sucker-punched a candidate for the Republican establishment.
Back during the 2014 Republican primary in South Dakota, Megyn Kelly played dirty tricks on a US Senate candidate that embarrassed the establishment by miraculously raising more money than the obvious GOP establishment's pick in the primary. Dr. Annette Bosworth even managed to accomplish this as a first-time-ever candidate for political office.
How would you like to run for office for the first time and get invited for a prime time interview on election night by Megyn Kelly of Fox News? In hindsight, anti-establishment candidates should probably start declining her requests. Watch the video of Kelly starting the interview with Dr. Bosworth, most likely knowing Bosworth could not have known she had just lost the election. It was nothing but a sabotage interview in prime time. Judging by the Fox News caption on the screen, this candidate likely must have thought it was an interview to discuss the latest controversy regarding hate speech being directed at her during her campaign.
The tricks against this candidate did not stop there. Dr. Bosworth has since been charged, tried and convicted in an over-zealous prosecution for common petition infractions that normally are never even prosecuted. Because of the conviction, Dr. Annette Bosworth is currently fighting to even be able to keep her medical license in the state which she has passionately used throughout her career to help treat the poor around the world. Her prosecution is said to be the most aggressive prosecution against any candidate in US history and the signatures were even from valid registered Republican SD voters.
Megyn Kelly is obviously not innocent or new to "gotcha" unprofessional antics on behalf of the Republican establishment. She may just finally be reaping the backlash that she has earned.
