Title: Ann Coulter Says One Key Issue Is Behind Donald Trump’s Popularity: ‘He Has an Army Behind Him’

Appearing on “The O’Reilly Factor” Monday night, Ann Coulter said the key to Donald Trump’s buzz is one topic: immigration.

“The voters keep saying, ‘We don’t want any more immigration,’” Coulter said on Fox News. “That’s why Trump is so popular. So pick it up, Republicans.”

“This is a Republican Party being run for the business interests in America, not for the people,” she continued. “This is why people are voting for Trump, and it doesn’t matter what he says.”

Coulter said that to fix two other key issues — the economy and national security — the country needs to “stop dumping 30 million poverty-stricken people on America” and went on to say that immigrants, both legal and illegal, are taking away low-wage jobs from Americans, especially black teenagers.

As for national security, Coulter pointed to the shooting in Chattanooga and the Boston Marathon bombing and said the country needs to stop allowing terrorists to immigrate to the U.S. and becoming citizens.

As Trump’s popularity continues to remain steady — the latest NBC poll still has him ahead of the pack — Coulter said he’s “more than an island” and that the “polls are meaningful here.”

“This is incredible what Donald Trump is doing. He has an army behind him and the fact that he’s not controlled by the Chamber of Commerce, I think most people are thinking as an advantage, not as a disadvantage,” she said

Coulter also slammed Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul’s stance on illegal immigration — especially his referring to illegal immigrants as “undocumented citizens” — and accused him of “selling out the base.”

The easiest way to make trump powerless is to immediately start building a wall on the southern border and at the same time transport all illegals in our prisons to Mexico. Next make voter ID manditory. That is just a start but it will show Trump supporters that the Republicans have the right idea.

Ann, we know you’ve got a book out about immigration you’re peddling and that you’d like to associate your book with Trump’s popularity, but Trump’s stand on immigration isn’t why he’s so popular. The reason he’s so popular is because he fights back against leftist cowards who have turned bullying into an art form. I wouldn’t vote for Trump if the choices were him and a third term for Obama, but I do enjoy watching him stand his ground and hope against hope that real conservative candidates will follow his lead.

Ann nailed it. Folks couldnt care less about about Trumps business dealings. He has his finger on the pulse and its saying get the vermin out of our country. To the RNC who fights this position, you do this at your peril. Want to see millions of illegal and the rest of the human debris pouring into our country leave in droves? then Trump is your man. Really? His business ventures within the States benefit from their labor, and you trust him to get rid of them? His business ventures have benefited from overseas cheap labor, and you trust him to bring most manufacturing jobs back to the States? If it doesn’t benefit him, don’t count on it.

If the leadership of the GOP wasn’t in bed with cronies and corporate welfare recipients they would push for a conservative to be president… instead they try to ram Jeb Bush down our throats. I can’t see two parties anymore. The GOP has been infiltrated by lying sell-outs, career politicians and cowards.

When Coulter said, the “Republican Party is being run for the business interests in America, not for the people”, she was absolutely right. The GOP is corrupted with greed and power. If Trump can address the needs of average Americans he’s got a good chance.

I’m not completely convinced Trump is the one, but I’m damned interested in what he’s got to say..American is in deep, deep trouble…. and Hillary would put the final nail in America’s coffin. Trump’s alacrity and self confidence gives many people hope.

Rand Paul is part of the problem, failure to tell it like it is! That is why Trump is doing so well.

DumbAussie -Aug. 11, 2015 at 10:10am.

I agree with Ann but more to the point we realize that those currently in politics are only out for themselves. We tried, one last time, to give the GOP power in the house and senate and they screwed us yet again. They’ve done nothing they said they would. Career politicians and establishment types, including Rand Paul, have ignored us one too many times and it’s time to rock the boat.

Trump is far from perfect, but he’s better than a guaranteed kick in the teeth and shorts that the established GOP will bring.

Now where do you suppose they all came from? Seal the boarder, and send the illegals home. Wake up Americans!!!

The problem with todays RNC is it is filled with a bunch of politicians that are looking out for there own good and not the good of the people, this has happened because we lack something that needs to get instituted, term limits, it will keep our political process from becoming as corrupt as it is currently and will continue to ensure that we get fresh ideas. As for Mr. Trump, if he gets the nomination he will get my vote, because he is telling it like it is!

I think people miss that many things have a flip side.

Liberals have the mindset of, “Give me X because other people have X and I don’t.”

Those who are paying for X eventually start demanding, “Stop giving them X because I’m paying for it and I don’t get X as well.”

The people who are doing the work are sick and tired of paying for others to have a “free ride.”

I , and a lot of other people, like Mr. Trump because he is not cut out of political pattern like most of the others, he says what he thinks and doesn’t have a bunch of political advisors telling him to stay away from an issue, or talk around it. Whether you agree with his position or not, you like his decisiveness and candor.

Trump is a “doer.” There are those that “do” and those that talk about doing. We do not need any more of the latter, we have our fill in D.C. Most people do not actually like him. I’m not a fan of him personally. I am a fan of his ability and perseverance to actually fix or attempt to fix the problems our president has caused. Most of them he other candidates will bring more talk and align with moderates like Boehner. We do not need that.

I agree and disagree. I agree that America has had enough of the immigrant invasions. But I believe that the Republican base is fed up and angry. With the Betraying, gutless cowards. Who campaign as a conservative. But govern like a Rino. Once elected they are basically there for the rest of their life. So the only thing that is important to them are the donating Lobbiest. Even the Sheeple. Who blindly defend the Betraying, gutless cowards. With its a Rino. Had to be disgusted with the biggest Betrayal. The 2014 election. Where O’Liar thumbed his nose at the voters. Because he knows that those Betraying, gutless cowards otherwise known as Republicans or eunuchs. Will do whatever the Lobbiest want. Therefore the Republican base was energized. When a bragging Brawler who talks loudly and boldly. And uses the Truth as his big stick .Stood up for the people. And the people believe he will deliver. Unlike the Betrayer’s that govern us now. It’s so much more. Trump is a successful businessman. To do that – you have to know how to get the job done. No hidden agendas – just results. The government is trying to tell us up is down in order to get us accept all their hidden agendas. No wonder we’re all confused. Trump said , for instance, if we picked a shrewd negotiator as Ambassador to Japan (not Caroline, even tho a lovely person), maybe we’d have Japan driving American cars. Political payoffs, corruption, lobbyists, Donald knows what wrong – he knows how to fix it. We trust him.

My soon to be 93 yr old mother used to hate Trump, now she’s a huge fan! She says she’ll have to kill herself if Hitlery is elected.

They are not immigrants of any sort. They are INVADERS. Break that argument.

You quit paying people to sit on their azz, they WILL do the jobs you claim they won’t do. A hungry belly is the greatest motivator. Break that argument.

It is immoral for any man or government to forcibly take my legally earned and owned property to enrich another man. Break that argument.

When my toilet won’t flush or my A/C is broken, I want someone to fix it. I don’t particularly care if he shows buttcrack or is a black lgbt or tells off color jokes.

We have almost insurmountable problems in this country. If you are hung up on being offended or worrying about tone over substance, you are dooming us all by your lack of intelligence.
