I remember the first TV appearance of Elvis on Ed Sullivan showing Elvis only from the waist up. I remember "Your Hit Parade" with all the hits -- before rock 'n' roll. I recall when Rock Around the Clock came out, and Ricky and David Nelson hung out at the Emporium, and Johnny Horton sang the Battle of New Orleans before doing Sink the Bismarck.
