politics and politicians Title: What explains Donald Trump's appeal? If economic inequality is a problem, erosion of traditional values is a fear, and the Hispanic vote is pivotal, what explains the political rise of a twice- divorced, thrice-married, gold-plated New York real estate buccaneer whose previous best-known utterance — "You're fired!" — is rivaled now by inflammatory comments about Mexicans and immigrants? #12. To: buckeroo (#7) Here, you can see one of his personal $1,500 "spit shines" as he posed for his second bankruptcy hearing in federal court that he wasn't at fault for his failures. The least phony thing about Trump is his hair. Yes, I do believe that is actually his own hair. He just does his hair in a four-way combover with lots of hairspray that is popular with executive transvestites. You may recall this photo and some video of the time Trump went to a Tea Party event in Florida (after which he fled politics for quite a while).
#13. To: Gatlin (#0) What explains Donald Trump's appeal? His hair, silly! Duh...
#14. To: A K A Stone (#10) (Edited) Someone told me you were a government plant. The person who told you that is the real government plant. For sure. See how easy it is to make up shit on Teh Interwebs? If LF is going to go all-Trump-all-the-time, maybe you should rename it as DonaldsFlame.com.
#15. To: TooConservative (#12) I can imagine Trump as POTUS advocating free Van der Graaf Generators for every home and busines in America. We need more BS artists, don't we?
#16. To: TooConservative (#14) I can't even remember who said that. I just remembered it. Now we have all these elitists attacking Trump. You know the establishment. I don't believe it. I just happened to remember it when you were attacking Trump like the establishment. I didn't expect that from you. Especially when you even say he has a transvestite haircut. He is really getting to you. You guys can continue to rip him. It doesn't matter. I'll vote for him. The only other one I would consider is Cruz. So if you want Hillary. Reject Trump.
#17. To: TooConservative (#14) DonaldsFlame.com. I think CNN already took that, or maybe it was MSNBC. I can't remember.
#18. To: TooConservative (#14) You CAN'T make up that hair - LOL.
#19. To: TooConservative, A K A Stone (#14) ...maybe you should rename it as DonaldsFlame.com. Nah....PresidentTrump.com is better.
#20. To: buckeroo (#15) Then we have phoney minuteman Buck. Who didn't stop one illegal, and was investigated for fraud by his own admission. He too parrots the GOPe talking points. You did make a lot of money off the government didn't you?
#21. To: Chuck_Wagon (#18) I like his hair. Looks kewl.
#22. To: A K A Stone (#16) I'll vote for him. What makes you think he has registered (not announced) his run for POTUS?
#23. To: Gatlin (#19) Was that you that told me that about too?
#24. To: A K A Stone (#20) Then we have phoney minuteman Buck. Who didn't stop one illegal, and was investigated for fraud by his own admission. That made my day....thanks!
#25. To: Chuck_Wagon, A K A Stone (#13) How about Trump, the board game? Or Trump cavorting with Rudi in drag? Or Trump in WWE wrestling, beating up Vince McMahon?
#26. To: buckeroo (#22) What makes you think he has registered (not announced) his run for POTUS? That is what Karl Rove said. Is he your boss? Or do you just use his talking points?
#27. To: TooConservative (#25) How about Trump, the board game? Or Trump cavorting with Rudi in drag? Or Trump in WWE wrestling, beating up Vince McMahon? That just makes me more determined to vote for him. Your tactics have the opposite affect.
#28. To: A K A Stone (#23) Was that you that told me that about too? Nope....but I like the story.
#29. To: A K A Stone (#20) (Edited) You did make a lot of money off the government didn't you? Let us describe the phenomena as something like this, in the words of Donald Trump pantomiming the famous words of P. T. Barnum: "there's a sucker born every minute."
#30. To: TooConservative (#25) A board game and Vodka. Thanks. I'm off to ebay to see if I can get that game. Looks fun. I think it would be kool to drink his vodka as they swear him in Jan 20, 2017 at noon eastern.
#31. To: Gatlin (#28) Nope....but I like the story. I never said I believed it. I don't for the record.
#32. To: A K A Stone (#31) (Edited) I don't either. But I'm not sure about hondo...[wink-wink].
#33. To: A K A Stone (#21) I have a tie identical to the one he is wearing in post 18.
#34. To: Chuck_Wagon (#33) I have a tie identical to the one he is wearing in post 18. Truly hideous. Maybe you should get the red one instead. It must have been a gift.
#35. To: Chuck_Wagon (#18) You CAN'T make up that hair - LOL. The FL Tea rally had winds about 40mph. After a few seconds of struggling, The Hair collapsed entirely. I can't find a good video clip of it, funny stuff. Donald was not amused. He rarely goes outdoors.
#36. To: A K A Stone (#27) That just makes me more determined to vote for him. Like we didn't already know you've drank The Donald's Koolaide to the last drop. LF is starting to remind me of TOS back when they bought the name FredRepublic.com and pointed it toward TOS. Good news! You can buy Trumporama.com for only $9.99. Hurry!
#37. To: buckeroo (#15) I can imagine Trump as POTUS advocating free Van der Graaf Generators for every home and busines in America. We need more BS artists, don't we? Sure but, just like Barnum, he could sell millions of them and walk away laughing. Trump is a great self-promoter. He took his slumlord father's empire of 25,000+ properties and turned it into a much larger personal empire with big buildings, golf courses, resorts, casinos.
#38. To: TooConservative (#37) He took his slumlord Lefty talk.
#39. To: TooConservative (#36) Like we didn't already know you've drank The Donald's Koolaide to the last drop. You are free to vote with the Mexicans. But that would be very unpatriotic.
#40. To: Gatlin, Percy Yukon (#32) hondo...[wink-wink]
I don't swing your way, but Percy Misanthrope (yukon) and his son are available.
#41. To: Chuck_Wagon, Good Hair combo, Trump Perry, A K A Stone (#33) (Edited) I have a tie identical You've got to have the right hair for that tie. Since Stone wants to lose to Hillary, might as well do it with a "Good Hair" ticket... Donald Trump/Rick Perry.
#42. To: A K A Stone (#39) You are free to vote with the Mexicans. But that would be very unpatriotic. You even talk like Trump. LOL
#43. To: hondo68 (#41) You've got to have the right hair for that tie. Nope. Not possible.
#44. To: Gatlin (#0) Isn't honesty and openness what we want? There is nothing that is not accurate about his statements. 90% of illegal females report being raped while in transit to the US. The males are raping them. A large number of illegals from Mexico are rapists, they are criminals by crossing the border, working under false SS#'s, and applying for drivers licenses without ID. Mexicans control the meth sales and distribution in the US. They are a scourge, not a blessing in this country. How many ways can it be said?
#45. To: jeremiad (#44) Isn't honesty and openness what we want? That depends on who "we" is.
#46. To: Gatlin (#0) What explains Donald Trump's appeal? It's very simple. There are a bunch of angry, bitter people who can't cope with a changing world and feel they've been screwed by the politicians. They want someone who will stick his middle finger in the politicians' faces and yell "up yours". No different than the appeal of Bernie Sanders, Ross Perot, Jesse Ventura, John Connolly, George Wallace, Huey Long, and other populist buffoons. "We must have universal healthcare. I'm a conservative on most issues but a liberal on this one." -- Donald Trump #47. To: hondo68 (#41) Rick Perry has gone to the no way column.
#48. To: cranko (#46) Hey asshokle Jwpegler. Why are you trying to make screen names called stone. Should I ban the asshole everyone?
#49. To: A K A Stone (#48) (Edited) Hey asshokle Jwpegler. Why are you trying to make screen names called stone. Because you are limiting the numbers of posts I can make a day and I wanted to respond to someone yesterday afternoon.
Should I ban the asshole everyone? Acting like a liberal again -- you can't deal with disagreement so you try to shut down debate. "We must have universal healthcare. I'm a conservative on most issues but a liberal on this one." -- Donald Trump #50. To: cranko (#46) I could go for universal health care, IF all people were covered by the same plan. It goes against my grain, but fighting this tide is a losing battle. Either we cut out all subsidies and free medical and let the market rule, or we have a completely even playing field. Of course the rich will have the best care, as they pay cash. No matter how well covered the masses are, the elite will be covered better while the politicians cut payments to the doctor/slaves leading to the same situation we find ourselves in. Now I am disagreeing with myself. Why can't we just let the market decide and require hospitals to cover emergency situations? Allow pharmacies to dispense antibiotics without a script and everything else is dependent on your good credit, relationships with doctors, or money. So much money is spent on visits for colds, flu etc. People need to be allowed the dignity of dying if they won't save or spend to help themselves, screw them.... Until then, we muddy ourselves in a mix of socialism....
#51. To: cranko (#49) Acting like a liberal again -- you can't deal with disagreement so you try to shut down debate. Reek you were banned. You're only here for my amusement at this point.
