Donald Trump continues to stand by controversial comments he made about Mexican immigrants as his standings in Republican primary polls improve despite increasing criticism. The presidential hopeful placed ahead of perceived front-runner Jeb Bush in a new aggregated 'poll of polls' with 13.6 per cent support compared to the former Florida governor's 13.3. The rise comes as public figures and businesses continue to admonish Trump because of the comments saying that those crossing the border from Mexico illegally were 'rapists'. Former Republican candidate Mitt Romney told CNN Saturday that the businessman 'made a severe error in saying what he did about Mexican-Americans'. Trump defended the remarks, and used an interview on Fox and Friends Saturday morning to take a dig at fellow presidential hopeful Marco Rubio.

Trump's comments are not all that controversial with the conservative base. Open borders, amnesty, and executive failure to execute the laws on the books are more controversial.

Trump did not make his comments about Mexicans as the media likes to say. His comments were about illegal aliens, many of whom happen to be Mexican. He cited the high number of illegal alien women being raped during the illegal journey across the border. Don Lemon almost had the vapors when Trump pointed out that someone was doing the raping.

I'm a curious guy.

I was at a family gathering yesterday for the fourth. Last week my dad said he liked Trump but wouldn't vote for him. Well he said he would vote for him if he got the nomination. We are both conservative but he is usually more establishment. Yesterday I found out he now supports Trump. He said forget the chumps vote for Trump.

My neighbor across the street. Who last week called Trump a blowhard or something like that. A woman who voted for Obama twice. She said she thinks Trump is exactly what we need. Despite the fact that she doesn't like his ego (my words she said it differently).

I have a couple of buddies. Never vote. They want to register and vote for Trump.

He is resonating with a broad variety of people.

My question to you is. Assuming Trump gets the nomination. Could you vote for him? Second. Is there a possibility that you would vote for him in the primaries?

"Assuming Trump gets the nomination. Could you vote for him?"

Hell no! I say we let Hillary win to teach those Republicans a lesson!

Next time we want someone who's tough on immigration, wants to repeal Obamacare, get rid of Common Core, get tough with China, and wipe out ISIS.

Oh ... wait ...

Its still early and the progressive dirt machine hasn't started slinging mud yet.

Everything is bs until after the first debate which shows a clear leader to which everyone attacks till the leader is mortally harmed. Then some unifying force will gather around a rino and push them to the top of the heap.

Could I vote for Trump. Yes maybe. Im not sure how resolved he is in actually putting America first as a whole or just saying what Americans want to hear but claiming he doesn't have the power once in office. Its not like Obama has any more power than any other president but he surely gets things done he wants.

I will ignore all dirt on Trump.

I think he truly loves America.

There are other candidates that may be more conservative.

But he can actually win. And I can accept some of the things he does or thinks that I don't agree with.

There are only two choices left for me. Cruz and Trump.

The Naturalization Act of 1790

Ch. 3, 1 Stat. 103 (repealed 1795). provided that “the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens: Provided, That the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States . . . .” 9. Id. at 104 (emphasis omitted).

The Naturalization Act of 1790

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, that the children of persons duly naturalized, dwelling within the United States, and being under the age of twenty-one years, at the time of such naturalization, and the children of citizens of the United States, born out of the limits and jurisdiction of the United States, shall be considered as citizens of the United States: Provided, That the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons, whose fathers have never been resident of the United States: Provided also, That no person heretofore proscribed by any state, or who has been legally convicted of having joined the army of Great Britain during the late war, shall be admitted a citizen as foresaid, without the consent of the legislature of the state, in which such person was proscribed.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the Act intituled, “An act to establish an uniform rule of naturalization,” passed the twenty-sixth day of March, one thousand seven hundred and ninety, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

Remember: a vote for Cruz is a vote for Jesus (Carlos Felix Santiago-Reynando). :D

Yes. I voted twice for Perot.

I will not be convinced that Trump all in until he files his detailed financial report.

A Trump campaign could also explode and get a Hillary elected. Of course, a Hillary campaign could explode and get a Bernie Sanders nominated.

Hmmm, that would be an interesting debate, Trump v. Sanders.

I'm in for the reverse order.

I would vote for either. By the time it gets to Ohio Trump may be the only realistic choice (still has a chance).

I think Cruz is more conservative which I like.

But Cruz is for free trade. Which I am not.

If it was Today I would vote for Donald first.

I will not be convinced that Trump all in until he files his detailed financial report.

I'll tell you why I know (if that is possible) that he is all in.

He is a guy that has a big ego. Which I don't mind and actually kind of admire. If he dropped out he would become a laughingstock. They have tried to smear him. That only will make him more determined.

The ethnic group that is currently attacking him. It is doing at least two things. Making Trump more determined. He's used to getting his way pretty much. It is also going to make more white people support Trump. I'm seeing it first hand right now.

People who I know that never get into politics are red hot for Trump.

A liberal lady across the street that doesn't like Republicans voted for Obama. She said at first when he got in that she didn't like him. I was blown away at a cookout yesterday we had at my place. She was there. She passionately said she doesn't like him but he is exactly what we need right now. Someone that is successful can turn things around. I would never in a million years think she would say something like that.

I asked my brother what he thought about Trump. He said he didn't like him. Because of the way he was on the Apprentice. I thought he was fine on the Apprentice, I liked him. Watched it a few times. So I was a little disappointed. But then he said that he thought he should be President though. As we all talked about it today. Another cookout this time at my Dads house. Everyone was excited about a Trump possibility. I know we're family and are pretty much the same thinking and that doesn't prove anything.

My dad last week who said he liked Trump but thought he was a joke of a candidate. This week is all in. Forget the chumps vote for Trump.

On this site. Pericles said he would vote for him. I know that isn't final I just thought I would throw it out.

Also I'm not a bashful person. So I sometimes casually introduce the subject if I'm waiting in line or at the Drive Thru or something. I'll just start off with a "Did you hear Donald Trump is running for President". Just to gauge what regular people do think. It has been almost all positive.

But there was one negative case. At the Drive thru some young kid with a Green Day shirt on, Long hair. As he was getting my order I asked him if he knew Donald Trump was running. He said he didn't know but that that was some fucked up racist stuff he said. I told asked him what he thought about border wall. He thought Trump was racist. He said he had a neighbor that was an illegal and he liked him. He said anyone should be to come to the United States and become a tax payer. I said even if we have to pay for all their welfare. He said yes. I left it at that and drove away. That dude was screwey so I had to include him too.
