Nearly a week after announcing he was running for president, Donald Trump has made it official and filed his paperwork with the Federal Election Commission. The one-page statement of candidacy was hand-delivered to the FEC on Monday. Trump had 15 days to send the document to the agency. Based on the document, the business tycoon’s campaign committee will be called Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. The filing comes after Trump gave a rambling, hour-long speech announcing his White House bid last Tuesday. “This is beyond anybody’s expectations,” Trump said during his speech. “There’s been no crowd like this. Some of the candidates they went in, they didn’t know the air conditioning didn’t work and they sweated like dogs. … They didn’t know the room was too big because there was nobody there. How are they going to beat ISIS?” Trump also stressed his wealth during the speech and indicated he would finance his own his campaign. “I don’t need anybody’s money. It’s nice. I don’t need anybody’s money. I’m using my own money. I’m not using the lobbyists. I’m not using donors. I don’t care. I’m really rich, I’ll show you that in a second.
