Most Americans have been brainwashed to believe they have only two choices when it comes to selecting their political leaders. It's either a Republican or a Democrat. They rarely even consider there are other choices. Rather than choosing a candidate that better reflects their values, they choose instead "the lesser of two evils." And, they get what they choose... "evil."

Beyond their rhetoric, there is very little difference between Republicans and Democrats in their actions. They like to sound different, supporting the false left/right paradigm, but both the Republicans and Democrats parties are dedicated to Big Government and neither are willing change that.

Consider the state of our economy, the protection of our liberties, and our health as a result of elections since 1913 following this misleading left/right paradigm.

  • The U.S. dollar has been continuously devalued and our coins have been debased by both parties.

  • A Communist inspired progressive tax system has been installed with both parties supporting its expansion.

  • Both parties have been complicit in the corporate sellout of the American economy to international banking concerns leaving more Americans impoverished and dependant upon a collectivist government state.

  • There has been no difference between Democrats and Republicans in their selloff of the nations food and water supplies to multi-national corporations that have depleted the nutrition found inside food and replaced it with bio-engineered genetically modified organisms.

  • Republicans and Democrats alike have profited in the widening of the income gap between the ultra-rich and the dependant poor while destroying the middle class.

  • Both Democrats and Republicans have been responsible for squandering our nations wealth leaving generations not yet born with debts that can never be repaid.

  • Democrats and Republican alike supported the illegal detention of Japanese-American citizens in World War II, and they continue to support legislation that detains and imprisons American citizens considered to be enemies of the State.

  • Both parties have embraced and supported the expansion of the American Empire throughout the world and now have lowered the bar of war to be pre-emptive actions in violation of International Law.

  • Republicans and Democrats have both supported the erosion of Americans freedom as they have unanimously ignored the Constitution of the United States.

  • Both parties have worked hand-in-hand in setting up a monopolized "for-profit" healthcare/insurance system that has resulted in an increase in just about every disease imaginable and out-of-control diseases that didn't even exist in years past.

G. Edward Griffin said in The Grand Design, "The Grand Design has absolutely nothing to do with partisan politics. These men aren't nearly as much Republicans or Democrats as they are world politicians, They've got bigger things to occupy their minds than mere party labels, To them, partisan politics is only a game to amuse the masses who crave the showmanship of big national conventions, the excitement of partisan campaigns, and the satisfaction of casting a vote in the illusion that, somehow, they're really helping to decide the important issues of the day, But, with precious few exceptions, for the past two decades the American voter has had to make his choice between Grand Designer A and Grand Designer B."

What America needs is a NEW paradigm. Washington needs to be wiped clean of the cronies that have established themselves as the only choice and have sold their offices to International bankers. We need leaders that believe in our historical roots and are committed to returning America to the Constitutional Republic set forth in 1776.

Does the Republican Party Represent You?
The Republican party has long been considered the representative of conservativism, but does it really reflect conservative values?

  • John McCain Republicans and Democrats alike were conned into voting for a $700 billion bank bailout of Wall Street’s most prominent and well-connected financial houses even though the vast majority of their constituents demanded they not support it. 2008 Presidential candidate, John McCain, painted himself as a warrior against pork barrel spending, spending months traveling around the country boasting about his opposition to earmarks and pork-barrel spending and vowing to veto such spending, yet he voted for $100 billion of pork in the mortgage-bailout bill including tax breaks for: rum producers in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands; producers of wooden arrows used for children's toys; film and television producers; Indian tribes; railroads; "Domestic Production Activities" in Puerto Rico; and auto-racing tracks.

The 2012 Vice-Presidential candidate, Paul Ryan, was praised by top conservative voices as being what Presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, needed to win over Conservatives shying away from Romney's dubious background. Ryan was called the GOP’s “moral compass” and The Wall Street Journal has editorialized that he “represents the GOP’s new generation of reformers.”

Paul RyanDespite his fiscal responsible rhetoric, Ryan has voted to raise the debt ceiling multiple times and is an avid supporter of Washington’s foreign wars and the Military Industrial Complex. He voted in favor of the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). He defended the bill on the House floor saying, “Are we standing at the edge of this abyss? Nobody knows, but maybe. It’s very probable.” No, Mr. Ryan the whole crisis bringing you to this vote was a sham, a orchestrated theft of the American people. Ryan went on to say, “Colleagues, we’re in the moment. This bill doesn’t have everything I want in it — its got a lot of good things in it — but we’re here, we’re in this moment and if we fail to do the right thing, heaven help us.” Yes, Mr. Ryan... heaven help us. “This bill offends my principles, but I’m going to vote for this bill in order to preserve my principles, in order to preserve this free enterprise system,” Ryan explained.

  • Some Republicans opposed an effort within the RNC to cut off funding for candidates who support partial-birth abortion. John R. Kasich said, "The Republican National Committee from Washington should not try to dictate what public officials across the country are going to support. We are a pro-life party, but I don´t think we ought to go forward with that."

  • Many Republicans joined their liberal counterparts in an effort to pass a piece of Clinton's Nationalized Health Care Plan, legislation that extends big government reach into our lives and controls yet another American industry. As a matter of fact, the legislation containing the largest tax increase in American history was sponsored by a Republican, John McCain!

  • In response to the terrorist attacks of September 11th, Republicans joined Democrats in droves to pass the unconstitutional USA Patriot Act leading to the mass dismantling of civil rights for all Americans, surveillance of all American citizens, and setting the stage for an American police state. Michelle BachmannAlong with a Nazi like Department of Homeland Security, this law begat other laws that expanded the power of government to extend to ANY individual remotely suspected suspected of terrorist-related activities and redefining "domestic terrorists" to include anybody that supports the U.S. Constitution, those that read the Bible, or anyone else that disagrees with the collectivist goals of an out of touch centralized government. The Military Commissions Act and National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) suspended the constitutionally protected right of habeas corpus, codified military indefinite detention, and extends to even American citizens declared to be an unlawful enemy combatant. With the agreement of Tea Party activist and Presidential candidate, Representative Michelle Bachmann, in 2011 President Barack Obama signed a four-year extension of the law.

2012 Vice-Presidential candidate, Paul Ryan, also voted to extend the unconstitutional PATRIOT Act, supported the National Defense Authorization Act, and has voted to expand the Department of Homeland Security.

  • Where are the pro-family messengers speaking out about taxing middle and low income families to enrich lawyers? Where are the family friendly voices pointing out the hypocrisy of replacing the marriage penalty tax with a larger tax increase?

"Sometimes we wonder if Republicans don´t have a secret suicide wish. That´s the only way to explain why this GOP Congress seems eager to hand the nation´s trial lawyers two epic political victories. Senator John McCain´s tobacco-tax bill promises to turn a passel of plaintiffs´ lawyers into billionaires. As if that´s not enough, House Republicans Greg Ganske and Charlie Norwood are proposing to open up previously exempt parts of the health care economy to liability suits. If a Democratic Congress tried to do anything at all like this, Republicans would be rending their garments on the Capitol steps." -The Wall Street Journal

Emerging from the Republican party are neoconservatives such as William Kristol, the founder of the Project for the New American Century. Neoconservative influence on American foreign policy became central with the Bush Doctrine of preventive war, which held that the United States should depose foreign regimes that represented a potential or perceived threat to the security of the United States, even if that threat was not immediate. Did you not see the first 10 bullet points? When the Jeremiah Project mentions "Both Parties" do you think they're referencing Greens or Libertarians?

How many times does your "party" have to sell you out before you start to understand that most of them are lying con artists who want to work as lobbyists when they finally lose an election or are termed out?

Anyone who believes there is, on the average, a great difference between the Repubican and Democrap parties also believes in the tooth fairy. Both parties are in the some fundamental business, demogogery to obtain money, power, and prestige. The American people be damned.

Since I probably agree with you on 90% of the issues, allow me to add my $0.02 here.

In articles like this, you ask why the democrats don't seem to come in for as much criticism. I think I can shed some light on this. From a limited government, Constitutional perspective, the democrats are a lost cause. They have been since the Woodrow Wilson administration. They are simply a gathering of power hungry control freak politicians - supported by a cadre of welfare seekers, social malcontents, and Marxist intellectuals. The only thing that binds these groups together is Party - and it is Party Uber Alles.

That is how you can have the Xlintons - not so long ago - railing against the perversion of homosexual marriage, and now doing a complete 180 on the issue. The Xlintons are "forgiven" for their transgressions, you see, because advancing the Xlintons advances the Party. Cheating, lying, hypocracy - all of these can be seen as "doing what you have to do" to get elected.

And once elected, the Party is advanced. It's about the Party - always the Party.

That is why there is no point in criticizing democrats. They're simply fanatics - lunatics. No amount of criticism will change that.

Democrats are a force to be defeated - that's where Republicans SHOULD come in. (but they don't - hence the criticism)

I've been voting since '72 and with one unfortunate exception (Carter in '76) I've either voted Republican, 3rd party, or on a couple of occasions stayed home. There were many years when the only reason I voted was to "save the Supreme Court" - i.e. a republican would nominate better judges than a democrat.

The events of the last few years - and especially since the '14 midterms - have convinced me that thinking voting republican meant anything was foolish.

I (and millions of others) voted GOP in '14 for one purpose - to stop Emperor Zero. It was an election of historic proportions - dems were thrown out on their butts. I DID NOT VOTE FOR BOEHNER OR MCCONNELL.

But those fools are what we got. The do Zero's bidding as well as any democrat.

Finally, the Supreme Court. All those years of voting for gop presidents just so they would nominate judges who would simply follow the Constitution. Currently there are 5 on SCOTUS who have been nominated by republican president.

So let's review what's happened: Zero care. Upheld. Twice. Homosexual marriage. Now in all 50 states. States rights - gone.

Remind me again why we should vote for repubicans?

The country has moved consistently to the left in the last hundred years - republicans may slow things down, but they never change direction.

And we're past the point (in my opinion) where elections matter.

The problem is much larger than the Republican Party. The problem is with "conservatism" itself.

What do "conservatives" want to conserve?

Well, look at many of the people on this board. They want to "conserve":

1.) The Wilson Administration / Progressive Era -- Income Tax and Federal Reserve Bank

2.) The Roosevelt Administration / New Deal -- Social Security

3.) A big part of the Johnson Administration / Great Society -- Medicare

How is conserving Democrat Party triumphs and programs in any way "conservative"? The answer is that term "conservative" is relative to one's frame of reference, which makes the term meaningless. (20 years from now, many "conservatives" will want to "conserve" Obamacare because that will have become part of their frame of reference.)

This is the actual problem. It's why government programs never actually get rolled back.

I understand your frustration, Red, with respect to the scapegoating of the GOP for their collusion with Democrats and failure to uphold and battle for simple constitutional-conservative principles. Where is the essay indicting and executing Democrats for their collective and blatant destruction of our nation, our sovereignty, our traditions, our constitution?

Upon perusing the Jeremiah Project, they indeed do take to task Dems on several fronts. For instance, here is a link to "Values":

http://www.jeremiahproject.com/trashingamerica/values.html

This particular writer lost points (and legitimacy IMO) in his essay by cherry-picking, then mentioning Michele Bachmann AND the Tea Party -- two staunch allies of American sovereignty and constitutional law as somehow...at fault for the acts of traitors within the GOP leadership. Where is HE coming from??

I get the general point; The betrayal and fecklessness of the Republican Party is outrageous -- but its rank and file members still remain anyway from 25-75% in direct opposition to Dem Party policies and agendae (depending on the issue.)

THIS point and observation has been made repeatedly: The GOP's corrupt stranglehold on the party's leadership began THE moment Reagan left office. Poppy Bush and his NWO cabal colluded with the globalist-elites/NWO machination to hijack the GOP brand and party platform, and direct it to enmesh within the polluted stream of the Dem's. That said, the subverted leadership of McStain, the Bushes, McConnell, Boehner, Graham, etal does NOT represent the legit, traditional GOP. If THIS perverse arrangement ever gets reversed, the GOP's conservative, pro-America/sovereignty leadership may be restored -- it'd obviously be a Game Changer; If not, the Republic's death is certain.

Any claim that the GOP's values and goals are no different than the Democrats is complete hogwash and frankly, propaganda. IF there were no difference, we'd already have had our guns confiscated (an attempt, anyway), would be unable to post at this forum, and many conservatives JAILED. That's right -- JAILED.

Excellent points.

"Conservatism" is a matter of definition. WE are trying to conserve OR "preserve" a constitutional republic, culturally American traditions, heritage, and language, and the Founders' values -- which were obvious at its core, common sense and Western-European, and Bible based tenets and morals.

A large part of the problem within the last 10 years or so has also been the subversion of the language and manipulation of public opinion -- especially through social media.

The article pointed out that fact quite convincingly.

Wait -- do you doubt for a moment that were the Dems in charge of EVERYTHING that you and I and Red would be in a FEMA Camp RIGHT NOW?? The article was INCOMPLETE. I question the motives of the author (Remember David Brock??)

It is malarkey to believe that there is "no fundamental difference between the Dem and Rep parties." The difference between Mitch McConnell and Ted Cruz is...LIGHT YEARS.

McConnell and Boehner control all the subcommittee appointments, the tone of Congress, the agenda of the GOP, and degree of treason committed as they colluded with the Traitor-in-Chief. Same with past Pubbie leaders...until you get to Uncle Newt. He *was* effective until he was betrayed within, then blackmailed as one of the 1400 Feeb files stolen by the Klintoons.

But what the heck - you go on believing that the Republicans will save the Republic.

If it *is* saved, those who will help save it will be the Pubbies stopping this Republic from dead-lining. (Or do you believe it will be Dems?)

The fact is - they are pursuing the NWO agenda just as diligently as the Democrats.

Yes. The Guilty are the PUBBIE LEADERSHIP. And ENTIRE DEM PARTY. This broad-sweeping indictment is no different than characterizing ALL Christians as "Westboro Fundies."

Correct...Poppy Bush had no business being called a Reagan Republican.

But Reagan understanding "you keep your friends close and your enemies closer" knew that the VP job (which back then was not as involved as it became) was a good place to ice someone while trying to do the work of the nation.

Lib, I understand and agree with the distinction you make between the gop leadership and its conservative rank and file.

Where we might part company, I suppose, is whether or not in practical terms the distinction matters. For you, the jury may still be out. For me, the jury has returned a verdict of a resounding no - it matters not.

The "Tea Party" was a bright spot. While it didn't so much focus on social issues as I would have liked, the TP was for limited government and The Constitution.

While TP voters were welcomed into their natural home, the gop, their principles were not. Some of the successful tea party candidates (name escapes me, but the NH Senator) have stabbed us in the back. And others, while they have stuck to their principles, have been bullied and strong armed by the likes of McConnell and Boehner.

I honestly believe there's more hatred in Boehner's and McConnell's hearts for the tea party than there is for the Boy Emperor and his cadre of tyrants.

I can analyze why this might be all day long - lust for power, no principles, wanting the NY Times to say nice things - whatever. But in the end, it doesn't matter.

The time to defeat the traitors known as democrats was early evening. It's now literally one minute before midnight - and the 'tan' and 'the turtle' still are not only not fighting them - they're actively engaged in helping them.

That's how I see it, at least.
