Opinions/Editorials Title: Have You Noticed: LF Stats are Skewed? For almost any article on LF, anymore, there are thousands of views. Have you noticed? For a wee little chit-chat channel on the out-skirts of the Internet with little meaningful existence, the stats are of no significance anymore as the views/posts ratio are dramatically skewed into absurdity. I read where you installed the solar in 2007....you should have passed the cost effective point, have you? Again, I haven't paid an electricity bill since the installation of the solar-voltaic system. I need to review the "cost effective point" ... all I wanted was to eliminate bills to ensure the quality of my life which is to enjoy about an 80 degree F constant temperature. The quality of life I enjoy is no too bad.
BTW: Your trim needs repainting. Yeah, I was thinking of hiring some potatoe peeling guy from the USAF to do the work. Any recommendations?
#43. To: Fred Mertz, Gatlin (#41) That's why I call you Grandma, tater. Fred, I think we found the source of the almost infinite "viewing clicks" ... right here with tater.
#44. To: buckeroo, Gatlin sneakypete, We The People, yukon (#42) ROFL! From posts 36-42 your exchange here is hysterically funny. I would put the hilarity of your exchanges up there with past sneakypete-meguro or sneakypete-yukon, or We The People-yukon.
#45. To: buckeroo (#42) ...trim painting. Any recommendations? I'll be happy to do it for you....the going rate for my labor is $500 an hour. You can easily handle that, I'm sure. You need that savings on your electricity bill to pay your property taxes, it shows they were over $3k some years ago....I can just imagine what they are now. You should get out of that shit hole place.
#46. To: A K A Stone (#30) Is this one skewed. It has 125 thousand views. That's insane. Whose botware program has been clicking that?
#47. To: Liberator (#44) ROFL! From posts 36-42 .... Back up to Post #34.
#48. To: buckeroo, A K A Stone (#27) Stone should be able to answer your question. He is the "keeper of the keyes." ???
#49. To: A K A Stone (#28) I've been busy with the roundup this year. Roundup will slowly kill your brain. Aha, now I get what happened to you.
#50. To: Gatlin, Fred Mertz (#21) HA! Good one, Tater. 1 reply, 1556 views Freddy deserves it.
#51. To: buckeroo (#45) You need that savings on your electricity bill to pay your property taxes, it shows they were over $3k some years ago....I can just imagine what they are now. You should get out of that shit hole place. Wait, I see you have a "tenant" living there....that should take care of the propetry tax for you.
#52. To: Gatlin, buckeroo (#47) Actually post 26.
#53. To: buckeroo, Gatlin (#39) Well ... look around as you see fit. Do you see any solar panels? Look, all you have to do is look to the left, right, back and front. You can then zoom in. LOL
#54. To: Gatlin, buckeroo (#40) BTW: Your trim needs repainting. THAT was funny.
#55. To: Liberator (#52) Actually post 26. You're right.
#56. To: Liberator, buckeroo (#55) Looks like “Buck has left the thread.” Too bad, I wanted to ask him why he has the plywood covering the dormer windows, if that is still unrepaired damage from the drive by shooting. And I wanted to tell him it looks like he covered up the drive by shooting bullet holes okay, but did he have to use that shitty colored gray paint to do so? It’s been fun….I’m outta here too.
#57. To: buckeroo (#19) Have you ever run a spyder, TooConservative? Why would anyone run a spyder over & over & over when the content of the data has not changed? That is exactly what Google and the other search engines do. Watch some threads and see how quickly they show up in a DDG or Google search. You'll be surprised.
#58. To: A K A Stone, Pinguinite (#30) Is this one skewed. It has 125 thousand views. Interesting to see so many page views on some threads. That seems excessive, beyond what you'd expect from the search spiders. Perhaps it should be looked at more if it's using up your bandwidth.
#59. To: TooConservative, A K A Stone, Pinguinite (#58) Exactly the point being demonstrated. You would think "management" would be sensitive to the point.
#60. To: TooConservative, buckeroo, A K A Stone, Pinguinite, Liberator (#58) Is this one skewed. It has 125 thousand views. I thought you would have caught on by now. Look who noticed this and started this thread. I watch him hit LP with a DoS attack one late night when he and I were the only ones on the thread. Of course, he would not acknowledge that he did it. Let him have his fun....
#61. To: Gatlin, TooConservative, A K A Stone, Pinguinite, Liberator (#60) I watch him hit LP with a DoS attack one late night when he and I were the only ones on the thread. Of course, he would not acknowledge that he did it. tater .. you are too much phun. Please don't tell these fine posters your story again. I am confident they might just YAWWWWWNNNNNNN.
#62. To: Gatlin (#60) I watch him hit LP with a DoS attack one late night when he and I were the only ones on the thread. Of course, he would not acknowledge that he did it. Just think ... this fine story can be told to your wee little grandson. You can start the great story, by saying ... "one niight on the Internet there was this ebil buckeroo and he pulled the chit-chat channels down right while I was typing bullshit! And then I told him off about 20 minutes later after he released his DoS attack! Yeah, it was all I could do as tater to observe and respect."
#63. To: buckeroo (#26) Tough call... "The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.” (Psalm 121:7) #64. To: buckeroo, TooConservative, A K A Stone, Pinguinite, Liberator (#62) (Edited) "one niight on the Internet there was this ebil buckeroo and he pulled the chit-chat channels down right while I was typing bullshit! And then I told him off about 20 minutes later after he released his DoS attack! Yeah, it was all I could do as tater to observe and respect." Ah, excellent recall....I can see that alcohol hasn't killed off too many of your memory cells. BTW - What can something like One Million Clicks software or Web Traffic Simulator do? Can they generate a greatly increased fake traffic count? Just askin’ … Warning
#65. To: Gatlin (#64) BTW - What can something like One Million Clicks software or Web Traffic Simulator do? Can they generate a greatly increased fake traffic count? Just askin’ … I shall be happy to help you in your anguish, tater. Minor "ping" applications reveal the same IP addy; in fact you can perform the same using some MS_DOS commands if you wanted to learn how to use your machine. These applications you bring up are relational; they are static and don't mean much other than a "ping." They don't reveal tens of thousands of IPs to an Internet server as this vibrant LF forum. But, you use the tried & true click the manual mouse, 'eh?
#66. To: buckeroo (#65) Minor "ping" applications reveal the same IP addy You could use a Tor proxy to generate a lot of different IP addresses.
#67. To: Gatlin (#64) Can they generate a greatly increased fake traffic count? Just askin’ … Being someone intimately familiar with trying to create fake traffic, I am not surprised you would be curious about this. Must really grind your gears stone put the halt to you using multi ids, and frustrating to you that you haven't figured out yet how to do it anonymously without getting busted. You're such a sad little cretin.
#68. To: Dead Culture Watch (#67) You're such a sad little cretin. One that bugs and bothers you constantly as I continue to agitate you into becoming increasingly perplexed and completely irritated….as I just did once again. I do hope that I have spoiled your evening. If not, it isn’t because I haven’t tried. Of course I will continue to do so…as I am having loads of fun.
#69. To: TooConservative (#58)
The 125K views is surprising, but it was posted in 2010, so that comes to less than 2K per month. The servers BW allotment easily covers the current load so I'm not worried right now.
#70. To: Pinguinite (#69) You have to wonder when the traffic occurred, since 2010 or a burst of pageviews more recently. Maybe someone is linking to these these threads for some reason.
#71. To: TooConservative (#66) Minor "ping" applications reveal the same IP addy Apparently it is not necessary for him to even do that. It seems the One Million Clicks software program has an integrated Internet Explorer browser. Whereby the specified visits to the thread at intervals specified simulates a real visit on that page. Consequently, all scripts, images, counters and so on contained by that web page will be also refreshed. Therefore when using the embedded proxy module, he can simulate traffic from all over the world so nobody can detect that his traffic is coming from a single computer.
#72. To: TooConservative (#70) Maybe someone is linking to these these threads for some reason. Yea...."maybe."
#73. To: redleghunter, buckeroo (#14) Well...have you been paying attention around here.... He certainly has, no one else caught this. Buck's abilities are amazing.
#74. To: Gatlin (#72) Yea...."maybe." Seems a little paranoid when there are other possible and even likely possibilities. You do have kind of a thing for a few members of the forum like Deckard and buckeroo. Your hostility to them is unrelenting, almost habitual. So, of course, your suspicions naturally turn toward them. Neil would have to use a log analyzer utility to build up stats on LF's web log, based on time and IP addresses. It's the only way to learn more. He seems satisfied with the situation as is.
#75. To: Gatlin (#38) (Edited) To: buckeroo lol Every society gets the kind of criminal it deserves. What is equally true is that every community gets the kind of law enforcement it insists on. Robert Kennedy #76. To: Fred Mertz, hondo68 (#5) (Edited) hondo68: It's the ACLU, The Southern Poverty Law Center, and Stormfront monitoring the Canary Klan's posts, for talking points. Looking past the sarcasm for a real explanation, someone is probably using a software program to simulate real web traffic on a specified page from all over the world from different IPs. The traffic amount, or clicks per second, are precisely controlled. It carries full support for cookies, Java, Java Script, XML and etc. The program is smart and stops itself when the targeted amount of traffic is reached. The user defined settings and statistics are saved to disk and reloaded automatically the next time the program starts. It even saves projects to disk and easy to use with an embedded help system. It maintains lists of web sites and different traffic settings for each web site can be specified. There is the capability to temporarily suspend, pause, the activity and then resume it. And OMG. it can generate traffic on multiple threads simultaneously with multithreading technology. It is highly customizable, portable. Using the program requires no installation and all someone has to do is just download it and run it. Now, that explains everything better….right, Fred?
#77. To: GrandIsland (#75) (Edited) lol
#78. To: TooConservative (#74) "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)" ...
#79. To: buckeroo (#24) Do you enjoy farmer's syle pork chops? I do. These are the thick, juicy cuts of pork chops that are rarely served restaurants. Most restaurants (even the best ones) serve silly, salted thin pork chops that are fast cooked by some illegal Mexican called , "a chef." Can't say that I've ever done the real thick chops before. I usually smoke/grille 4-5lb butts/shoulders and breading loins to make sandwiches. I buy all of my spices from a place in Chicago called The Spice House, everything is ground/mixed fresh every couple of days. Much better than what you find in the stores cause in the stores you don't know how long it's been on the shelf. They have all kinds of spice mixtures made for all the different meats and most of them are really good. They have 4 or 5 mixtures that go good on pork, you should check it out. http://www.thespicehouse.com/ “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#80. To: TooConservative (#74) (Edited) Your hostility to them is unrelenting, almost habitual. Nah, retaliatory is the proper description. And I am not hostile...I carry no prejudiced, spiteful or malevolent ill will. On the contrary....I am friendly, favorable, well-disposed well-meaning and non threatening in my retaliation.
#81. To: Gatlin (#80) What you have are accusations, not evidence. There are plenty of other ways to write scripts or compile programs to scrape a site or generate hits. You're way too focused on this Million Clicks thing. You might recall that I demonstrated back at LP how easy it is to roll up a short Bash script to do such things. Easy enough that anyone can do it, especially Linux users and Mac people who run an OS that comes with all the needed tools (which Windows mostly lacks out of the box).
#82. To: TooConservative (#81) What you have are accusations, not evidence. Nah, not accusations. I will cop to an allusive or oblique remark....or hint. Albeit typically a disparaging one.
