I love this woman. She should get the Mother of the Year award. I loved seeing the good citizens of Baltimore coming out with brooms to clean up the debris. It is encouraging to see those who are opposed to such violence. We didn't see much of that in Ferguson. I wonder what will happen now with Sharpton on the scene. I wish he had a mother who would slap him upside the head! Will he succeed in his race baiting here? I'm not so sure he will. Oh, he'll get the thugs support. I think there are more blacks who will squash his rebellion. This putz needs to be in jail for inciting rioting nationwide.

I saw another video where they interviewed a (black) city council member on the street. He said it was frustration due to the lack of education, jobs, and businesses fleeing the urban areas of the city. Note that all of these are the fault of the black community itself. 32% reported high school dropout rate (I bet it's closer to 50%). And who's going to hire someone who can't read or do simple math? Plus, businesses have moved out because of the violence. I would have said to the councilman, "Look around you. Would you locate a business here and hire these people to work for you?" Everybody should have a mother like that. It's a crying damn shame that so many children today have to raise themselves because their parents just don't give a damn and can't be bothered. BTW,everyone needs to notice and note that not once did he raise his hand to hit her back or to get physical with her in any way. He didn't even get verbally aggressive with her. This means he loves and respects his mother more than he loves his image before his homies or anyone else. Especially when you can look around you and not really blame people for thinking what they think. Yes, we can empathize and sympathize with those held hostage by the environment. That said, hatred of da crackah is institutional and cultural. From birth through the school system, through the ghetto and "entertainment" culture. Their "Leader" from the WH encourages what's happened in Baltimore, Ferguson, etal. among "his People." Some defy and smash through their own Stockholm syndrome of imprisonment, but if doesn't change the established "black culture." They even chastise their own for not being "down with the cause " or "acting too white." Who are you going to blame for this phenomena, Gandhi? The same case of established "culture" steeped in hate is found amongst Muslims as well. Are there good Muslims? Of course. It took some cities 20-25 years to recover from the race riots of the late 60s and early 70s. My dad said one summer it seemed a city burned every week. Some of these ghettos never recovered at all.

From the front of my grandmother's house in Bloomfield, NJ, I vividly remember armor rolling down Bloomfield Ave (which ran directly into the bowels of Newark.) "No prisoners-taken" tactics were utilized before the RIOTS (not "protests") got totally out of hand. Detroit erupted that same summer as well. That riot killed Detroit. Before then, Newark was a shopping hub. Afterward, the white exodus was brisk (except for one Portuguese-Italian precinct.) On a related note, recently an arena was built in Newark to accommodate the Brooklyn Nets BB team. Attendance is understandably underwhelming. And now the NY Islanders are scheduled to play there as well. For SOME dumb reason, professional stadiums and arenas are entrenched right in the middle of hostile territory. Camden, NJ is THE worst.

Lets see Baltimore is 60% Black or more, the police are mostly Black, most of the city council is Black, has only been 1 white mayor in the last 30 years and the last Republican mayor was back in 1967. This was not about free speech. Toya Graham was exercising her Constitutional right to direct the education and upbringing of her son as cited by the Supreme Court in a long train of cases that confirmed this fundamental right. No matter what your take of her action is, she got her son away from the danger. She is to be commended for doing that and should be named: “Mom of the Year.”
Well O Malley was responsible for a lot of things the citizens didn't like. Higher taxes, supports immigration, supports homo marriage and other things. He was also the Mayor of Baltimore at one time. His hand picked successor was beaten by 5 points by the Pubbie Hogan. Electing a Republican governor was not a predictable response nevertheless it's happened. (Maybe there is still hope for some of these Blue states after all). Kinda makes you wonder if they will elect a Republican mayor in Baltimore next time around. Only time will tell if Hogan is just another idiot or a Scott Walker or somewhere in between.

The police vice squad often raided establishments like this on 12th Street, and at 3:35 a.m. on Sunday morning, July 23, they moved against Scott’s club. That night, the establishment was hosting a party for several veterans, including two servicemen recently returned from Vietnam, and the bar’s patrons were reluctant to leave. Out in the street, a crowd began to gather as police waited for paddy wagons to take the 85 patrons away. Tensions between area blacks and police were high at the time, partly because of a rumor (later proved to be untrue) that police had shot and killed a black prostitute two days before. Then a rumor began to circulate that the vice squad had beaten one of the women being arrested. An hour passed before the last prisoner was taken away, and by then about 200 onlookers lined the street. A bottle crashed into the street. The remaining police ignored it, but then more bottles were thrown, including one through the window of a patrol car. The police fled as a riot erupted. Within an hour, thousands of people had spilled out onto the street. Looting began on 12th Street, and some whites arrived to join in. Around 6:30 a.m., the first fire broke out, and soon much of the street was set ablaze. By midmorning, every policeman and fireman in Detroit was called to duty. It is a fact of life that the squeaky wheel gets the grease,as well as the teebee cameras. Not all blacks are northern or western urban blacks that live in ghettoes. It just seems that way because the politicians want it that way,and the byword of the media has always been "If it bleeds,it leads!" Nobody is going to spend any time or effort to do news stories on a guy that gets up every morning and goes to work to support his family. It just ain't a good story. When I go to Hardees to eat breakfast I almost always end up talking with a 93 year old black farmer that used to join up with my father sometimes for brief forays into the world of raising hogs to butcher and sell. His English is as good as mine and I don't even sense the slightest resentment from him when he is talking with me or other white people. In fact,he agrees with me that white racism and violence in the 30's to the 60's is being exaggerated,and in rural areas there was almost no trouble between blacks and whites. He showed me a photo today of him and his brother at their roadside vegetable stand that was taken in 1936. Because of his age he only farms a couple of acres now to have something to do,but he was talking with me this morning about the crops he had planted. Damned if he doesn't read the newspaper every day without reading glasses,too. I damn near need reading glasses not to just see the damn paper,never mind read it.

What I see is a woman that DESPITE having 6 kids to raise my herself,is out there doing her damnedest to keep her one son in line and away from the temptations of the street and the call of the crowd. Most mothers in her position have no control whatsoever off their male offsprungs,and damn little over their female offsprungs. She seems to be the exception because she is trying to do the right thing. Yes,there are "professional welfare mothers" that keep dropping babies in order to keep the checks rolling in. She doesn't seem to be one of them,and for all any of us,including you,know,she had a husband that fathered all 6 children who died or left her alone to care for them. ALL any of us KNOW about this woman is she is trying to do the right thing under trying circumstances. Please note that I said given the statistics on out of wedlock births among black women it was very likerly taht there was no father at home providing for or raising any of the 6 kids in the household. I acknowledged that "for all we know" right up front. As for her trying to do the right thing, if she is one of the 70+% unwed black mothers, yes, indeed, better late than never. But studies show that a kid's basic personality, core values, etc. are set at a very, very young age (like 5 years old or so, certainly before middle school). She missed doing the right thing boat on that one. The overwhelming probablity is that her son is still going to be what he is going and that was determined years ago when he was growing up with no father at home. Now, if this women's husband did in fact father all her children in a two parent home and died or otherwise left the family without means or child support then I will be the first to stand and applaud this women for raising her kids under extrenmely tough circumstances. Under these circumstances I believe it would hard for anyone to begrudge any public assistance that she may have received or is still receiving. But if she is in fact a professional welfare mother as you call it then she does not deseve the admiration and praise that you and others wish to heap on her. Rather both sides of her "mothership" should be presented, the good and the bad, especially if you and I were paying to raise her kids. I am willing to bet that the MSM will never report on her circumstances that resulted in six children.

It took some cities 20-25 years to recover from the race riots of the late 60s and early 70s. My dad said one summer it seemed a city burned every week.
