Hooey. You can buy these on eBay for $27.95. Those are not AA batteries which were created by Eveready in 1957. A few other items on this "list" are similarly flawed.
I wouldn't know. I do know AA is a battery size (nothing more) and the standard goes back WWII or thereabouts. Eveready was not the first to produce AA batteries but the first to produce alkaline AA batteries, I believe. But since Eveready produced their AAs in 1957, that would make them too young for SS and far younger than Hildebeast.

The batteries pictured are from old-time crank phones with party lines. We had a few laying around for decades. The dry cell battery technology was from around 1910. Pre-war. This is how they made the first party-line telephone exchanges work. It persisted into the Fifties in some rural areas. I recall some of these 6" dry cell batteries still being made new when I was in first or second grade and we used a few to make a switch turn on a light bulb for a science lesson. Hands-on science was pretty bare-bones back then. I think they stopped making them in the Seventies.
