U.S. Constitution Title: He (Edward Snowden) Just Gets Better and Better!
“Edward Snowden issues ‘call to arms’ for tech companies … to foil spying with better privacy tools.” Absolutely! As those bozos on Capitol Hill dither over how much to increase the NSA’s espionage against us, Heroic Ed continues to exploit the amazing brain God gave him. The State and its evil spawned the NSA; how irrational to look to that same government for restraints on the spooks. No, Mr. Hero goes to the tech companies and inspires them to build NSA-proof telecommunications. Meanwhile, savor these quotes from our champ, all delivered during the address in which he “issue[d his] ‘call to arms'”:
And a note to all you wannabee heroes out there, who tragically, mistakenly consider cops, soldiers, and others of the State’s bullies “good guys” and aspire to join them: if you really hope to make a difference, if you really want your life to count for something, take a lesson from Heroic Ed. Oppose the State. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread Top • Page Up • Full Thread • Page Down • Bottom/Latest Heroic Ed continues to exploit the amazing brain God gave him. Snowden has done more to protect America than you or anyone you know. No, Mr. Hero goes to the tech companies and inspires them to build NSA-proof telecommunications. Which doesn't mean he is the smartest man that has ever lived. Tech companies depend on government approval/permits to operate. They are no different than any other public corporation in that respect, and any company that hopes to build and sell their product while exempting the government from being able to access or buy their technology won't stay in business very long. And this ain't even addressing the FACT that there are some pretty sharp cookies working for the government that can figure out how and why anything operates once it becomes an established fact that the technology works. [regarding the NSA’s prurient interest in online sexual activities] “How does using porn habits to discredit people make us much different than [the] Turkish government? Snowden is more than a little naive as well as ignorant about this. NSA really doesn't give a rats ass about porn, and the only time they are checking on anyone's porn surfing habits is when it is someone with a security clearance that is being checked to see if there is anything he or she is doing that could be used to blackmail them into giving up secrets. Once suspects are identified and the NSA starts putting them under the microscope, every aspect of their lives are examined, from the porn they collect to the magazines they subscribe and the social groups they have joined. Nothing they say,do,see,or hear is exempt. That's why "NSA" stands for National Security Agency. They are NOT helping your local cops try to bust you because you enjoy choking your chicken in front of your computer monitor. [regarding whether he’d “do it again”] “I have gained so much. I have the ability to contribute in a much more meaningful way. I really got the sense that I’m helping to improve lives. It gives me a reason to get up in the morning. And that’s something that you can’t get from almost anything other than maintaining a guiding principle that you believe in very strongly.” Yes!!!! Yeah,he is young, idealistic, and surrounded by people blowing smoke up his ass 24/7. Only a idiot would be surprised he would say something like that. Let him age a few more decades and he will be profoundly embarrassed by the statement above. Right now he is the same position as a 20 year old rock star or movie star. Everybody around his is kissing his ass and telling him how wonderful he is and that he can't do any wrong. Not because all or even any of those things are true, but because they have either hooked their own personal trains to his celebrity,or hope to do so. I call people like that "rent friends" because anybody that has the money or the celebrity can have them for friends, regardless of personal character or morality. Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority?
