They have faked some videos before in a studio. They are known to possess several captured studios. I don't doubt they're killing these hostages but they don't actually show us that they killed them beyond a doubt. Compare this with, say, Iran who routinely hangs Teh Gays using big cranes to hoist them in public squares with crowds watching the execution. Yet, ISIS is a little shy about even being as gruesome as Iran is. And Iran hasn't slowed down any as a result of being in negotiations with us.
