Sports Title: 2015 Dallas Cowboys Since the 2014 season is over for them figured I would start a 2015 thread. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread Top • Page Up • Full Thread • Page Down • Bottom/Latest Comments (1-79) not displayed.
#80. To: CZ82, redleghunter (#73) More from the link: "In recent years, Johnson has offered strong praise for [Chris] Christie." *eyeball role*
#81. To: redleghunter, CZ82 (#74) I'm so shocked 'old money' is supporting Jeb. Yeah, right?...lol. Only in post-modern America can names like Bush and Clinton even be seriously considered again. Americans need to say 'no' to both. The pods whose (supposed) votes decide national election are American-In-Name-Only (illegal OR dead.) As usual, the insane, the lazy, Commie, Union, and Statist (many with lucrative goob-jobs) will outnumber the rest of us and elect another subversive. That is if the current emperor and tyrant leaves on schedule. (50-50 odds.)
#82. To: redleghunter, CZ82 (#81) NY Rangers lost a TOUGH game, 1-zip last night to the Caps :-( It was a frenetic, wild action-packed display of skill, heart and determination -- despite a 1-0 score. #1-seed Rangers are now down 2-1 in the series. Tomorrow night is a must-win (in DC.) Meanwhile, with the Yanks up 1-0 in the 8th to the Jays, MGR Joe Girardi inexplicable decides NOT to go to the league's best set-up guy and closer to finish what should have been a masterpiece. They lost 3-1. Girardi blew it.
#83. To: Liberator (#76) The pitcher (big kid) was the no wheels. Mrs. RLH took some snapshots but have not looked at them yet. "For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139:13) #84. To: redleghunter (#83) Wait...the big guy and pitcher who has "no wheels" is your son, right? Good. At least Mrs. RLH got some pix...but you didn't see them yet? Man, I couldn't have waited to see them. Hope her vantage point was good.
#85. To: Liberator (#84) (Edited) Wait...the big guy and pitcher who has "no wheels" is your son, right? Sorry I wrote as if you were 'there.':) Big kid different kid than my son. My son is tall for his age (10) and thin (and has wheels:). The big kid is a bit chubby and very tall. Puts the smoke in the strike zone. His grandma is his guardian and she keeps a copy of his birth certificate in her purse as he has been challenged on his age by other coaches in the past. So the big kid almost put one over the fence which is pretty Hooah for his age. "For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139:13) #86. To: Liberator (#79) This guy is...basically a fullback and desperation checkdown :-) Yea that's what I would say. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#87. To: Liberator (#80) "Chris Christie" All hat, no cattle. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#88. To: redleghunter, Liberator (#85) http://espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/story/_/id/12841444/dallas-cowboys-sign-former-lsu-offensive-lineman-lael-collins Did you see where the Cowboys signed undrafted free agent La'el Collins to a guaranteed 3 year contract. Kid was supposed to be a first round pick but went undrafted because there was talk he had a hand in the death of his girlfriend. They sure are making a haul this year, this makes 3 guys who should have went in the 1st round. Albeit 2 of them may turn out to be big headaches BTA they may just work out. Oh well time will tell if they were good moves or not, if not minimal financial outlay.. Have found out they have signed 15 undrafted free agents but haven't found the full list will do some research tonight after work to see if I can find them all. One was a RB and another is a potential replacement for Harris, 5 WRs in all, don't know about QBs though. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#89. To: CZ82 (#88) Yes just read the article on Collins. He is not a suspect in that horrible shooting. Someone went in there to murder that woman...truly sad. She was 8 months pregnant and the child survived for a few days if I remember correctly. DNA tests showed the kid was not Collins'. "For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139:13) #90. To: redleghunter, Liberator (#89) Rank Player POS School This is the latest/greatest list I could find on signed undrafted free agents and mini camp player invites, 40 players altogether. Only 2 QBs though, usually they do 3 or more to spread out all the throwing so somebody doesn't get hurt. Out of this list they're hoping to find at least one WR/PR/KR/Special teams player, and I think they're also looking for another Special Teams/LB or Special Teams/S/CB. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#91. To: redleghunter (#89) Just found another article where they are still whining about the Cowboys not drafting a RB or QB. http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/2015/05/5-players-the-cowboys-could-regret- passing-on-in-this-years-draft.html/ Haven't really seen much on how the rookie camp went other than Gregory not being hydrated enough on the first day and about Dez not showing up. Most of the buzz I'm seeing is which WR is gonna replace Harris as KR/PR/WR/Special teamer. http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/2015/05/11/job%E2%80%99s-open-undrafted-wrs- looking-replace-dwayne-harris “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#92. To: redleghunter (#89) Did you see where Homosans hero Michael Sam signed a 2 year deal with the CFL Alouettes?? http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12931850/michael-sam-signs-two-year-deal- montreal-alouettes-cfl “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#93. To: CZ82 (#92) Yeah saw that. “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) #94. To: redleghunter, Justified (#93) http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/dallas-cowboys/headlines/20150627-report-faa-probing-cowboys-for-using-drones-illegally.ece Got a giggle out of this... “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#95. To: CZ82, redleghunter (#94) Go figure. Big gob cracking down on drone use on personal property. I first thought maybe they were spying with drones but hey its the Dallas Cowboys not the Massachusetts Patriots!
#96. To: CZ82, Justified (#94) My son pointed out a drone (small one) at a RR Express game. When we were heading to the parking lot it landed on the field. Have no idea what they were using it for. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. (Psalm 62:1-2) #97. To: redleghunter, Justified (#96) My son pointed out a drone (small one) at a RR Express game. When we were heading to the parking lot it landed on the field. Have no idea what they were using it for. You would think they would just be using it for different camera angles of the game/crowd for the big screen. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#98. To: Justified, redleghunter (#95) I think big GOB is afraid of the potential uses of those drones against them and want to scare you into not using them. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#99. To: redleghunter, Justified (#96) Cowboys DE Greg Hardy's suspension reduced to 4 games http://www.dallasnews.com/sports/dallas-cowboys/headlines/20150710-cowboys-de- greg-hardy-s-suspension-reduced-to-4-games-but-dispute-might-not-be-over.ece “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#100. To: CZ82 (#99) Big difference. I'm sure Jerrah, the parole officer in chief is happy:)
#101. To: redleghunter (#100) http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/13235309/nflpa-looking-possible-collusion-denver-broncos-dallas-cowboys-demaryius-thomas-dez-bryant And now for the next bit of drama. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#102. To: CZ82 (#101) Yeah, LOL saw that. Something tells me the Jones family is a bit more smart than to get into that nonsense.
#103. To: redleghunter (#102) Something tells me the Jones family is a bit more smart than to get into that nonsense. I guess we'll find out. You know they want to keep Dez but don't want to pay him what they think it's gonna take to keep him, which in today's market means he's way overpaid. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#104. To: CZ82, redleghunter (#103) You know they want to keep Dez but don't want to pay him what they think it's gonna take to keep him, which in today's market means he's way overpaid. I actually think the average of the top 3-5 is proper pay for Dez. He is not better than the top 3 but more like the 5th best receiver in the game. The problem for Dez is that Tony has only another year or 2 and thats it. After that Cowboys are in a rebuilding phase and do not need to be held down by crazy contracts. No win situations. Dez wants a 5 year contract with guaranty pay.
#105. To: Justified (#104) (Edited) You know they want to keep Dez but don't want to pay him what they think it's gonna take to keep him, which in today's market means he's way overpaid. My point is a lot of players are overpaid. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#106. To: Justified, redleghunter (#104) The problem for Dez is that Tony has only another year or 2 and that's it. After that Cowboys are in a rebuilding phase and do not need to be held down by crazy contracts. This team "overall" is way too young to go into another "total" rebuilding phase. Teams are always rebuilding to some extent (get rid of 3-4 older guys acquire 3-4 younger ones every year) some just require more rebuilding than others. And some have the right players but the coaching staff needs to be schitt canned. Jerry and Company will either find Romo's replacement in the next draft or will go after one via the trade/FA route. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#107. To: redleghunter, Justified (#100) Cowboys DE Greg Hardy's suspension reduced to 4 games Well the funny part about this situation is "BOTH" of them called 911 and accused the other of attacking them. And then after it's just about all over with she can't be found to testify at the trial so all of the charges are dropped. Since he only played one game last year because of this and lost all of that money you would think "time served" would be enough. At least it was in Adrian Peterson's case so why not in Hardy's case?? (I guess the seriousness of the charge outweighs the actual validity of the charge)... Remember when Michael Irvin and Erik Williams were accused of rape and it was found out the woman lied about it. Hmmmmm kinda makes you wonder about Hardys case. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#108. To: redleghunter, Justified (#102) Horn: What ESPN plans to do in 90-minute Cowboys training camp special Didn't know if you guys had seen this or not. “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#109. To: CZ82 (#1) Since we are not talking much about the Dallas Cowboys, that means the Rangers are still in the hunt:)
Article to get things started for this season: Jon Machota’s final Cowboys 53-man roster projection: Will team keep 3 QBs? "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.”"---Isaiah 40:8 #110. To: Liberator, tomder55, redleghunter (#46) the boys didn't pick a RB ... interesting . From what I'm hearing from training camp McFadden is doing just fine, they are happy with what they have... Now that could change tomorrow as you all well know...
#111. To: redleghunter, tomder55, Liberator (#109) Since we are not talking much about the Dallas Cowboys, that means the Rangers are still in the hunt:) Speaking of predictions this one has them regressing to the Eagles level and has the Giants 2 games further back... http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/2015-nfl-preview-the-cowboys-eagles-and- giants-look-good-compared-to-the-disaster-in-washington/
#112. To: CZ82, Liberator, Redleghunter (#111) Thinking the Jints need to score in the high 20s each week . But was listening to Kim Jones and she seems to think that the Spagnola D will attack regardless of the skill level of the players ...which will make a big difference from last years Jints D . I do think the Phillie Beagles will be even better than last year . But Murray will not be as productive back as he was with Dallas . I liked what I saw of Joseph Randel so kinda surprised that the Cowboys are going to give McFadden a lot of touches. Going to miss Steve Weatherford on the Jints . I like punters who play the game like linebackers . He also has the best build of any player in the game . espn.go.com/video/clip? id=11817111 Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? #113. To: tomder55, redleghunter, Liberator (#112) Thinking the Jints need to score in the high 20s each week . I don't think any team would stand much of a chance of making the playoffs scoring less than 27 points a game. Especially now in the salary cap era were it's very hard to have both a good offense and a good defense, it's usually one or the other...
#114. To: tomder55, redleghunter, Liberator (#112) But Murray will not be as productive back as he was with Dallas And won't be making much money either, I hear his contract is extremely back loaded...
#115. To: CZ82 (#113) I don't think any team would stand much of a chance of making the playoffs scoring less than 27 points a game. Seahawks averaged only 20 ppg last year and made super bowl.
#116. To: Dead Culture Watch (#115) Actually almost 25 points per game, 24.625 to be precise... And their strength is on defense not offense where they gave up only 15.875 points per game... The average defense gave up right at 23 points per game last year which is what I was basing my statement on... The Giants averaged giving up exactly 25 points per game last year, 400 in 16 games.
#117. To: CZ82 (#116) Ah, I see what I did, googled 2014 stats, found link, and it gave me 2015 preseason stats. Like IGAF about those. Thanks!
#118. To: Dead Culture Watch (#117) Ah, I see what I did, googled 2014 stats, found link, and it gave me 2015 preseason stats. Like IGAF about those. Did the same thing to me when I went to ESPN...
#119. To: Liberator, tomder55, redleghunter (#110) From what I'm hearing from training camp McFadden is doing just fine, they are happy with what they have... Now that could change tomorrow as you all well know... Well tomorrow is here and it did change somewhat, they made a trade with Seattle for a little used RB. http://espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/story/_/id/13597200/christine-michael-traded- dallas-cowboys-seattle-seahawks
#120. To: tomder55, CZ82, Redleghunter (#112) Thinking the Jints need to score in the high 20s each week . But was listening to Kim Jones and she seems to think that the Spagnola D will attack regardless of the skill level of the players ...which will make a big difference from last years Jints D . Spags has no other choice than to be super aggressive with an individual skill level on the D that's totally lacking. The sum is going to have to be much greater than its inferior parts. Going to miss Steve Weatherford on the Jints . I like punters who play the game like linebackers . Didn't understand why Weatherford was cut, but yeah -- gonna miss him. The guy was fearless as a punter.
