You know I wonder how many of those deaths are caused by lawyers and the family of the victims?? Or maybe by the rules of Medicare/Medicaid or even by the politicians (the ones you vote for) that pass the laws that are ruining the healthcare system?? A Tulsa County judge has denied a request to reduce the bail amount for a minister who was charged with lewd molestation and arrested Wednesday. Damien Keith Bonner, 32, was charged with six counts of lewd molestation and was arrested by the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force following an investigation by the Owasso Police Department. He remains in the Tulsa Jail with bail set at $300,000. Bonner’s attorney, Stan Monroe, filed a motion for bond reduction in the case on Thursday. Tulsa County Special Judge David Youll denied the motion Friday at a 3 p.m. hearing, which Bonner did not attend, court records show. A police affidavit filed Friday shows that a woman filed a sexual-assault report at the Owasso Police Department on April 16 after her 15-year-old daughter told a family friend she’d been involved in a sexual relationship with Bonner. The teen told police that she met Bonner at Galilee Baptist Church, 721 E. Pine St., when he became a pastor there about a year ago, and she befriended two of his children. The girl stayed overnight with Bonner and his family at his grandmother’s home in the 4700 block of North Elgin Avenue. Bonner is accused of going into the game room, where she and his children were sleeping, and taking her to his bedroom to have sex with her, the affidavit states. He’s also accused of molesting her at his Owasso apartment and in his car while taking her to a relative’s home as well as sending her pornographic videos of himself. She told investigators that Bonner “provided her with a pill to take so she would not become pregnant,” according to the document. Bonner was questioned on April 23 and told police that “he was not comfortable” speaking with the investigating detective when she asked about the alleged victim, the affidavit says. A representative of the apartment complex, the Villas at Bailey Ranch, said Thursday that Bonner is no longer a resident there, adding that its management conducts background checks on all residents. Oklahoma court databases show no evidence of prior criminal offenses by Bonner in the state. Jail records show Bonner’s address as a home in the 500 block of East Pine Place. |

VALPARAISO | A local substitute teacher and former minister was arrested Friday morning in Valparaiso on sex abuse charges filed in Louisville, Ky. Allen L. Lehmann, 75, of Valparaiso, has been charged with seven counts of sexual abuse in the first degree with a victim younger than 12 and two counts of sodomy in the first degree with a victim younger than 12, said Dwight Mitchell, a public information officer with the Louisville Metro Police Department. Officials with the Jefferson County courts said the indictment was filed Thursday, and Lehmann is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Jefferson County, Ky. Lehmann worked locally as a substitute teacher in the Duneland and East Porter County school corporations. Duneland Superintendent David Pruis confirmed Friday that Lehmann had worked recently at Duneland schools and said no problems were reported regarding Lehmann's work in the schools. East Porter Schools Superintendent Rod Gardin stated in an email Lehmann had worked in two of the district's schools. "Sporadically, Mr. Lehmann has been a substitute teacher at Morgan Township Middle/High School and Washington Township Middle/High," Garden wrote. "No problems or concerns have been reported regarding Mr. Lehmann. He has not been a substitute teacher at any of our elementary schools or at Kouts Middle/High School. "Substitute teachers are required to have a national criminal history background check, sex offender check, and sex offender registry check before being permitted to work. Mr. Lehmann's national criminal history background check, sex offender check, and sex offender registry check that was conducted on June 6, 2013, came back without any offenses or reportable records. In other words, his background checks were clean. Additionally, the same check had been conducted on July 13, 2010. No records were found at that time either." Mitchell said Lehmann also had been a minister. Doug Sheehy, senior associate pastor at Living Hope Church in Merrillville, said Lehmann served as pastor there from fall 2005 until August 2010, when he retired. Louisville Metro police learned of the allegations in November 2013 about abuse alleged to have taken place from 1993 to 2000, he said. He said the victims, three girls, were relatives of Lehmann and were about 6 to 7 years old when they were abused. Mitchell said the case remains under investigation. |

TULSA — A former Tulsa pastor has been sentenced to 23 years in prison in a lewd molestation case.
The Tulsa World reported that Damien Keith Bonner Sr. was sentenced Monday to 23 years in prison. A jury found him guilty earlier this month of two of nine molestation charges filed against him.
Bonner received a sentence of 20 years for having sex with a parishioner of Galilee Baptist Church in 2013, when the victim was 14 to 15 years old. A district judge also gave Bonner a three-year sentence for inappropriately grabbing another minor whom he met as a youth pastor at Mount Zion Baptist Church in 2006.
Bonner's attorney, Stan Monroe, told the judge his client intended to file an appeal.
Monroe will no longer be representing Bonner and asked the judge to appoint him a public defender.

Yea, I thought I was onto something for a while. I saw indications that Cranky may be Deckard dual posting using Cranky as a second screen name. So, I very carefully analyzed Cranky's posts and quickly discovered the general mental capability displayed by Cranky shows that he is able to engage in various forms of reason, solve problems, comprehend complex ideas and learn quickly. As those positive assessment thoughts flashed though my mind, I immediately realized that the superb intellectual performance displayed by Cranky in his posts definitely proved that he is not Deckard. No Sir, in no way! I sincerely apologize to Cranky for ever thinking such a gross thing.

Both you and yukon were spot on in your assessments during this exchange. For we must come to learn that the most troubling times in life usually come when there is ambiguity and confusion brought about by some who try to make us feel not quite sure of the effects of our beliefs and decisions.
It has been said that the Devil lives and thrives in a world of confusion, ever convincing us something might be good when in actuality it is both dangerous and evil. There are those among us today who are trying to do this same thing now. But as direction, intent and the consequences thereof still remain clear to us it is only then that we are able to move in the correct direction and continue to make proper decisions in our lives.

Our great nation is becoming increasingly confused as a result of growing dissention and the intent of others who wish to sway us to take on their beliefs.
