I read a few of your posts. Didn't know who you were. I didn't agree with much but you were respectful and sincere.
Waves of people, some of whom hate each other, are converging here because of the death of Goldi's site.
There is excitement and emotion, and very old scabs are being torn off by some. Old fights will come back, for a time.
It's no mistake to invite a bunch of people over. It'll be rowdy and awful for awhile, but pretty soon it will settle down. The North-going-Zax and the South-going-Sax will stand there, unbudged in their tracks, face-to-face, but everybody else will move on and get on with talking to each other.
You're doing the right thing. The best thing you can do right now as the undead arise, and get the vapors at each other, is let them hack and slash away in zombieland and ignore it.

That is why I started the Rest In Peace Goldi ping list. It was obvious that there a quite a few ex-LPers here, many of which seem to be bitter and have nothing good to say about LP or Goldi. I wanted to provide something of a quite safe harbor to let the newcommers here, like myself, acclimate to this forum before the exs spew their vitroil and gloating over the passing of LP with Goldi.
Little did I expect that Too Conservative to be one of those snakes in the grass. Just goes to show you that nothing should be taken for granted.
In any event' if in a few couple of weeks there is no interest in the ping list I will delete it.
I hadn't really tracked what the pretext was for the current cat fight. I just skim over the vitriol and grin and think of the Mr. Roger's theme: "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood "
A ping list, was it?

Ah, one of the LF Nazis strikes again, this time at you.
Ah.

I see your warning of jackbooted Nazis (symbolized by a German patriotic song of the World Wars era), and raise it a French rebellion (symbolized by the first couple of lines of the Marseillaise).
To be literal: The jackboots: "Dear Fatherland, remain calm, dear Fatherland, remain calm, the Watch stands tall and true: the Watch on the Rhine, Stands stall and true the Watch, the Watch on the Rhine!"
The rebellious response: "Arise, you children of the Fatherland, the day of glory has arisen! Against us tyranny has raised its bloody flag!"
