I have received the following email from tpaine, who has offered to take over financial responsibility for LP but is not interested in moderating the site. Be aware that moderation implies control over content and a moderator may also be the target of litigation. (Lawyers tend to latch onto anyone even remotely involved in a situation to see what will stick.) Feel free to discuss this and at the end we would need to take a vote of active posters in good standing. If the site ownership is turned over to tpaine I would end my moderation of the site and cancel the plans to move it to my own server. Message follows: "At this time I would like to make a formal offer to pay the bill for hosting and domain registration, and to assume the liability for lawsuits, -- As 'the owner'. --- However, I have no interest in moderating the site and would hope that someone who could get the approval of at least 75% of the currently active members would take on that job. I would also hope that the site could retain the services of someone like Neil McIver to deal with tech issues. Please post this on the site, seeing that you refuse to allow me to post comments."

LP only has about 100 active posting members. Approx 25 of those members have already indicated that they do NOT want me as the owner. Get it? I cannot possibly get enough votes to become the owner, under my initially stated conditions.

Goldi-Lox called you a "pain in the ass" for refusing to honor your contribution commitment. 3. People do not trust you with their personal information 4. More people have requested a wipe of personal information than the ones you listed, making your statement a further example of your untrustworthiness. 5. You are on this site saying things behind sysadmin's back when you could have emailed them directly with your complaints & observations. 6. You were banned for intentionally violating serious rules at LP. Further making a case that you aren't trustworthy. LP members may not have something to hide as your conspiracy deduces, they just don't trust someone who does and says things listed above. Looks like sysadmin won't let him back because of that. I wouldn't either. This isn't worth losing my house in court.

It's nice to know, and they have my thanks. She was temporarily under the influence of the sites Rasputin, gatlin, imho. That was the plan that Gatlin and his gang tried to fly. -- I think they failed. I have virtually no interest in the info within registration emails, etc, -- As I'm almost computer illiterate. I did, and he didn't repost them accurately, if at all. Luckily, at that point AKA Stone fixed my registration problem. That's the sysadmin's story and its debatable. It's nice to know, and I appreciate it. Probably, my silencing had a big influence on my support. Sort of a Catch 22 effect.

I read a court ruling a while back. They said if you are not for profit you can post the entire article. I don't remember how high of a court ruled that.

The FR judgement was in part based upon the fact that FR is a commercial activity. JR was profiting from his policy. LP is not.
