Been real busy working. Not much time to check in here and keep things running. Hope it picks up again. Look forward to the news and conversations you all bring.
What have you all been up to this Christmas Season?
Well, I have friends who are both ill. Long story, but Colleen is dying of polymyositis. It's a rare muscle disease. Her muscles and nerves in her body are dying. She is in so much pain. It's like a painful leg cramp only she gets them all over her body and they last for 2 hours. She will die of it. Prayers for her please. She is staying at my house because her husband is ill and in the hospital here in Vegas.
He has an obstruction in his esophagus and has been not able to eat or keep liquids down. He has been in the hospital now for 16 days. They finally put a feeding tube in him. He is 6' tall and went down to 118 lbs. He will get the results of the third biopsy tomorrow. It appears that there isn't much they can do for him.
They have no transportation to get home when they release him and they are running out of money. They live in Fort Mojave Az.
I love them but it's getting a bit old. Very stressful. I work nights and sleep days, so getting things for them and running back and forth is taking it's toll.
Being Christmas, I'm basically broke and can't help them financially. I do not know how they will get back to AZ. I work and can't take them home-it's a long drive. Her father brought them here but is having car problems. They can't rent a car because they've all for filed bankruptcy so have no credit cards. I don't have a credit card either due to my late husbands medical bills which wiped us out financially, so my credit is bad, too.
Need prayers please for the whole situation. It's dire.
Add to that, it's Rodeo and Bull riding conventions in Vegas. I'm not a huge country fan (I like modern country and southern rock) They have been playing the old stuff for 3 weeks now, so I can't even get out and away from it all. This will be the 4th week. ACK!
That's about it. Still stewing over the Omnibus bill passage. Worked long hours calling and faxing and getting others to do the same. I'm now on their arses promising to work against them when they run for re-election. Can't wait for January when our new people will be seated. I don't like some of them, but hoping we can hold feet to the fire.
Bummer, huh?
Hard to get into the Christmas spirit with all of this happening, but I have my shopping done so all is not bad news. :)
Went to a friend's wedding on Saturday. That was good news. :)
Merry Christmas all and hope you are having fun and celebrating the holiday with family and friends!
If they keep playing old country they might convert you away from new country, which you should consider debt paid in full if it happens. Not that 'old country' is a lot better than 'new country' but at least you could attach the word 'music' to it ... If you were generous.
Stick with Skinnard. Maybe even try some Allman Brothers.
Anyways, keep cool, count your blessings and know that hardships will end.
Thankyou for the prayers. They still haven't gotten the biopsy results. They really need a break. They need to go home and get back their lives. Prayers for them are much appreciated.
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Not only for them but for you sister in Christ.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12)
An update: He has andenoid cancer. Haven't talked to him yet today, but the onacologist was supposed to come in today and he will have surgery. Hopefully it hasn't spread. Next will be rounds of chemo and radiation.
They went home this morning. The docs did not do surgery. He has to have chemo and once that is done, then they will go in to remove the obstruction. Meanwhile, he is stuck with the feeding tube.
