An Arizona woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and reckless driving after running her husband over with their SUV Monday out of anger over him not voting in last week’s presidential election.
KPHO-TV reported that Holly Solomon was upset over the possibility of her family “would suffer” because of President Barack Obama’s re-election Nov. 6 when she chased and hit Daniel Solomon in a parking lot following an argument.
“At one point, he went behind a light pole so that, obviously, the vehicle couldn’t strike him,” said Gilbert Police Department Sergeant Jesse Sanger. “He ended up leaving the light pole at one point, trying to run away from the pole to a different area.”
According to the police report, Holly Solomon told authorities she thought she hit the brake when in fact she accelerated the vehicle, hitting her husband and pinning him to the ground.
“I didn’t mean to hit him,” she said in the report.
Daniel Solomon was listed in critical condition at a local hospital.
Obama did not capture Arizona’s 11 electoral college votes in the election, as 54.2 percent of voters supported his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney. (1 image)

The total # of registered voters (election 2012) was ~197 million voters.
Barack Obama: 60,652,238 = 30.8%
Mitt Romney: 57,810,407 = 29.4%
NONE OF THE ABOVE: ~77,000,000 = 40%.
The U.S. government no longer has the consent of the people.
