Be VERY CAREFUL of Jack Chick. This man teaches the Rapture and here is what the KING JAMES BIBLE has to say about such teaching. Ezekiel 13:17 Ezekiel 13:18 Ezekiel 13:19 (This is the spacific anti rapture verse) Ezekiel 13:21 Your kerchiefs also will I tear and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
Whatever the rapture has to do with your quoted verses, I have no idea.
You have to look certain key words in the verses in the Hebrew dictionary of the Strong's Concordance to find how the verses relate to the rapture and that God is AGINST teaching it. The word trnsllated "armholes" in Ezekiel 13:18 refers to hands in the original Hebrew, not the sleeve openings of a garment as is usually taught. The verse about pillows and kercheifs is refering to restraining God's truth about salvation, his outreached saving hands with "soft landing" and easy out doctrines like the rapture. The parts about souls flying spacifically refers to the Rapture doctrine which teaches that Christians will suddenly "fly away" and have a "soft landing" or "easy out" (the "pillows") before the Tribulation starts. This is NOT the truth. Yahaveh God has WORK for his true elect Christians to do during the Tribulation, not an "easy out" of "flying away".
