That has nothing to do with why I don't post there much. I don't post anywhere much for two reasons. The first is that I'm trying to live my life in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ. However, I was getting so caught up with arguing with people on political message boards that I found myself acting in a most un-Christian way. One of my church friends I turned on to LP seen my posts and rightfully chastised me for my behavior. It made me realize that I had to make some changes. The second reason why I don't post is that I am in my third year of medical school at the ripe old age of 46. I plain don't have time. I live in one town and go to school in a town that is three hours away. So Monday - Friday and even some weekends I am at school studying. Therefore, when I get home, I focus on my family. The only reason I am able to post this week is because my wife had to go home for a family emergency and I am here with the kids. Luckily the third and fourth year of medical school consists of clinicals instead of sitting in a classroom, so I'm not missing out on a whole lot.
More power to you and good luck with your studies, and I am glad you are so well grounded. 'Jasmine' turned down my offer to help her with arguments on 9-11 when she was tasked by some in there for not buying into the lie about jetliners and JP-4 bringing the buildings in NYC down. I'd like to repeat some of her observations on eLPee and give mine on how I see how her experience of going into that place with her own account changed her perspective, but I will leave that alone. She has taught me by watching her post that she is actually a quicker study at picking up the thread of things in a forum than I gave her credit for, and given me similar observations about my posting as you say you got from people who read your eLPee posts that gave me pause on some things. Davis, Former Assistant Commandant of The Marine Corps, Rear Admiral Merlin Staring, Former Judge Advocate General Of The Navy, and Ambassador James Akins, Former United States Ambassador to Saudi Arabia are all stupid as well. I guess Lieutenant Commander David E. Lewis, the USS Liberty's chief intelligence officer, was lying when he "stated under oath that In a conversation with Admiral Lawrence R. Geis, the Sixth Fleet carrier division commander, who visited Lewis after he had been medically evacuated by helicopter to the aircraft carrier USS America. According to Lewis, "He (Admiral Geis) said that he wanted somebody to know that we weren't forgotten" attempts HAD been made to come to our assistance. He said that he had launched a flight of aircraft to come to our assistance, and he had then called Washington. Secretary McNamara came on the line and ordered the recall of the aircraft, which he did. Concurrently he said that since he suspected that they were afraid that there might have been nuclear weapons on board, he reconfigured another flight of aircraft - strictly conventional weaponry - and re-launched it. After the second launch, he again called Washington to let them know what was going on. Again, Secretary McNamara ordered the aircraft recalled. Not understanding why, he requested confirmation of the order; and the next higher in command came on to confirm that "President Johnson...with the instructions that the aircraft were to be returned, that he would not have his allies embarrassed, he didn't care who was killed or what was done to the ship "words" to that effect. With that, Admiral Geis swore me to secrecy for his lifetime. I had been silent up until I found out from Admiral Moorer that Admiral Geis had passed away" [transcript from NBC's Liberty Story, aired on national television 1/27/92]. This statement by Commander Lewis has recently been corroborated by Tony Hart, a Navy communications technician stationed at the U.S. Navy Base in Morocco in June, 1967. Mr. Hart connected the telephone conversation between Secretary McNamara and Admiral Geis and stayed on the line to keep them connected. Hart has been recorded as saying that he overheard Admiral Geis refusing McNamara's order to recall the Sixth Fleet rescue aircraft while the ship was under attack. Mr. Hart reported that McNamara responded, "we are not going to war over a bunch of dead sailors." I guess the intercepted radio communications between attacking Israeli pilots and the Israeli War Room, recorded by a U.S. Navy EC-121 spy plane, in which the Israeli pilots report seeing Liberty's American flag flying is all just made up bullshit. I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you have never bothered to investigate the issue and are making your decision based on preconceived notions. The dead of the USS Liberty deserve better from someone claiming to be a patriot.

REALLY... Fifteen years after the attack, an Israeli pilot approached Liberty survivors and then held extensive interviews with former Congressman Paul N. (Pete) McCloskey about his role. According to this senior Israeli lead pilot, he recognized the Liberty as American immediately, so informed his headquarters, and was told to ignore the American flag and continue his attack. He refused to do so and returned to base, where he was arrested. Later, a dual-citizen Israeli major told survivors that he was in an Israeli war room where he heard that pilot's radio report. The attacking pilots and everyone in the Israeli war room knew that they were attacking an American ship, the major said. He recanted the statement only after he received threatening phone calls from Israel. The pilot's protests also were heard by radio monitors in the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon. Then-U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Dwight Porter has confirmed this. Porter told his story to syndicated columnists Rowland Evans and Robert Novak and offered to submit to further questioning by authorities. Unfortunately, no one in the U.S. government has any interest in hearing these first-person accounts of Israeli treachery. Said Retired Adm. Thomas Moorer: "The Israeli forces circled the ship and then proceeded to attack over an extended period of time. There is Simply no way the fighter pilots and torpedo boat crews could have come to such a conclusion," he said. Other pertinent facts: * The radio jamming is by itself damning evidence that the assailants knew exactly whom they were attacking. Such jamming requires intimate advance knowledge of the target being jammed, obtained by extended monitoring of its signals. And this was selective jamming; it struck Liberty's frequencies and no others. Afterward, in one of their ever changing explanations, the Israelis claimed to have learned the ship's identity when they heard its distress signals. But the attack continued for sixty six minutes after the first distress signal, which the Israelis had jammed, was sent. Had this particular Israeli claim been true, they would have recalled the torpedo boats before they even reached the ship. * The Israelis claimed that the ship's U.S. flag hung limp because there was no wind. Later, when presented with the fact that the flag had been perfectly visible, they claimed that they thought that the ship was an enemy vessel flying false colors. The extended radio monitoring, exposing considerable advance investigation of Liberty's communication facilities, refutes this claim. * The Israelis claimed that the torpedo boats, after first sighting the ship, had called in the aircraft to attack after the ship refused to identify itself. This is an obvious lie, because the attack was clearly a preplanned and well coordinated onetwo punch employing different branches of the Israeli Defense Forces. The jets were already intent on attacking the ship before the Liberty came into the torpedo boats' radar range. Directly contradicting themselves, the Israelis later claimed that their aircraft had called in the torpedo boats. Immediately preceding the attack, an Israeli pilot recognized Liberty as a U.S. ship and radioed this information to IDF headquarters. He was instructed to attack anyway. This dialogue was intercepted at the U.S. embassy in Beirut. Former U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Dwight Porter revealed the existence of this intercept in 1991. From here: Chief Legal Counsel to the Board of Inquiry Capt. Ward Boston and president of the Court Adm. Isaac C. Kidd felt it necessary to travel to Israel and interview those who had taken part in the attack. They were rebuffed in that effort by Adm. John S. McCain Jr., then serving as Commander-in-Chief, Naval Forces Europe. Adm. McCain would not allow the two any contact with the Israelis. In a sworn affidavit, Capt. Ward Boston (ret.) made the following statements concurring with the cover-up of the USS Liberty attack: “I know from personal conversations I had with Admiral Kidd that President Lyndon Johnson and Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara ordered him to conclude that the attack was a case of ‘mistaken identity’ despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Admiral Kidd told me, after returning from Washington D.C. that he had been ordered to sit down with two civilians from either the White House or the Defense Department, and rewrite portions of the court’s findings. Admiral Kidd also told me that he had been ordered to ‘put the lid’ on everything having to do with the attack on USS Liberty. We were never to speak of it and we were to caution everyone else involved that they could never speak of it again. .... In 1982, an Israeli pilot who took part in the attack, Evan Toni, spoke extensively with Rep. Paul McCloskey (R-CA). He told McCloskey that his superiors told him to ignore the markings and U.S. flag. Toni claimed that he and another pilot radioed base and clearly identified the ship as American. Both refused and were immediately arrested upon returning to base. Former U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Dwight Porter, confirmed the pilot’s account. Porter told columnist Robert Novak that he heard the exchange as radio transmissions were being monitored from the embassy. For a long while, I was one who never questioned the MSM regarding Israel, and IIRC, it was Alex Jones who mentioned USS Liberty, and that started my digging... about five years ago. Learning what I did, I realized that Israel is NOT our "friend," never was, never will be... They're perfectly happy to manipulate things so that they never get their hands dirty, never get held responsible for the results of their own actions. They're users, pure and simple. This, BTW, is exactly why the Israelis attacked the Liberty, jammed the communications and tried to sink her with a torpedo. Bottom line, the Israelis wanted the USA to come to their aid. They wanted (and tried hard) to sink one of our ships before it could call for assistance, and then blame it on Egypt. The only problem was, the ship didn't sink according to their plans, and the excuses and coverups were required. Israel attacked the USS Liberty using UNMARKED AIRCRAFT. This is the single fact which proves Israel knew exactly who they were attacking.
