On his syndicated radio show Monday afternoon, conservative host Rush Limbaugh predicted that if President Barack Obama wins re-election, it will mean an end to the Republican Party and the triggering of economic collapse within 18 months.

“How long does this country have if Obama wins?” Limbaugh asked. “We’re headed toward an economic collapse and we are the leader of the world. And when it happens to us, there are reverberations all over the world [...] How long is it going to take? I’m asking a serious question. 18 months? You throw ObamaCare onto what we know what we are going to get from Obama — more debt, more spending, the expansion of the welfare state. How long can this go on?” he continued.

He went on to refer to MSNBC host Chris Matthews saying last week that an Obama re-election would mean the end of conservatism. “Nope,” Limbaugh disagreed, “if Obama wins, it’s the end of the Republican Party.”

“There’s going to be a third party that’s going to be orientated towards conservatism — or Rand Paul thinks libertarianism,” he continued. “If Obama wins, the Republican Party will try to maneuver things so conservatives get blamed. The only problem is right now, Romney is not running a conservative campaign.”

“But they’re going to set it up, ‘Well, the right sat home, the right made Romney be other than he is.’ They’ll try to deflect the blame, but they got who they want,” he said of the Republican Party’s selection of Mitt Romney for president.

“How long do we have, folks? I know people, who think 18 months before a real United States economic collapse,” he concluded. Subscribe to *Armageddonites On Parade*

RUSH said this?

I'm stunned. I freely admit I never expected to hear him say that being a Republican and being a conservative are different things.

AND.....,IMHO many of us are hoping for the destruction of the alleged Republican Party for this very reason.

Rush is pushing for Mitt to play the part of a conservative. Expect more flip flops with carefully parsed sound bytes, in an attempt to appear more conservative. He doesn't have a clue, so it should be amusing.

Mitt's not a very good actor. He used Paul Ryan to announce his lenient stance on medical marijuana, so maybe he'll ask him to play the part of a conservative now? He seems to be using his VP running mate as a crash test dummy.

Mitt's not a very good actor.

He hasn't had to be. He's rich and handsome, and those two count for more politically than all the experience, maturity, and knowledge in the world.

After all,you don't get elected anymore by impressing people with your intelligence or experience because the typical voter has neither. You get elected by dazzling them with bullshit and promising to give them anything they want for free.

He used Paul Ryan to announce his lenient stance on medical marijuana,

Maybe, but since the GOP seems to believe that Paul voters are all drugged-out dope-heads it was more likely a cynical attempt at trying to lure Paul voters into voting for Robamney.

Neither party is going to legalize medical marijuana at the federal level. The party's and their politicians are making too much money off its status as America's number one illegal drug of choice. Bribes from drug cartels, donations and "speaking fees" from the prison-industrial complex, law enforcement unions and personnel, and big-pharma will ensure that it always remains illegal.

“If Obama wins, the Republican Party will try to maneuver things so conservatives get blamed.

Which only goes to prove that the Republican Party has nothing whatsoever to do with the conservative movement.

And since Rush Limbaugh is and has always been a creature of the Republican Party, neither does he. He will carry water for Robamney and the Republican Party and throw conservatism under the bus, just like he did during the baby Bush years.

Stick a fork in 'em, they're already toast.

“How long do we have, folks? I know people, who think 18 months before a real United States economic collapse,” he concluded.

IF that. And it won't matter whether it's mcRomney or o'Bungler. Thank Clinton and Bush-II (outsourcing, anyone?). Thank Bush-I (globalization, "new world order").

And finally, thank the Federal Reserve, including Helicopter Ben and Greenspan, for the economic debacle.

Many of us are asking that, no matter which one wins.

“If Obama wins, the Republican Party will try to maneuver things so conservatives get blamed.

LMFAO knowing that the yuclown Gay Canary Brigade is saying this already and have been for a long time!

I still find it absolutely amazing, the number of people that I talk to who have no clue about why we are where we are, the financial meltdown, the mortgage crisis, etc., and still blame anything and everything EXCEPT the Fed Res.

Got to hand it to the propagandists... they successfully brainwashed the sheeple to believe that fiat money has value, and real money has NO value...
