New World Order Title: Obama Plans Executive Order to Force Cybersecurity Boondoggle On America (automated kill list/drone bombing) ![]() Power grid not at risk from cyber attack despite scary government propaganda. Obama plans to violate the Constitution again and issue yet another executive order. The latest EO would create a government program protecting vital computer networks from cyber attacks, according to Bloomberg. The Department of Homeland Security would establish cybersecurity standards that companies could “voluntarily adopt to better protect banks, telecommunication networks and the U.S. power grid from electronic attacks.” As we have pointed out on numerous occasions, cyber attacks do not threaten the power grid in the United States. Critical infrastructure in the U.S. is rarely connected directly to the public internet. “The fact of the matter is that it isn’t easy to do any of these things. Your average power grid or drinking-water system isn’t analogous to a PC or even to a corporate network,” writes Michael Tanji for Wired. Despite this, the government has perpetuated propaganda designed to scare average Americans into backing cyber security legislation. In July, the Department of Homeland Security said companies controlling the country’s power grid, water filtration facilities and a nuclear facility have come under hacker attack. Regardless of the sustained propaganda effort, the public has not demanded lawmakers pass legislation allowing government to impose cybersecurity measures on public and private infrastructure companies. In August, despite the best efforts of “top military and national security officials,” a much-anticipated (by government) cybersecurity bill went down in the flames in the Senate. A Republican filibuster killed “years of bipartisan efforts to establish stricter security standards and, some experts say, could leave the nation vulnerable to widespread hacking or a serious cyberattack,” the Washington Post reported. Obama’s latest EO was contrived after the failure to push through legislation in the Senate. “The administration is contemplating using an executive order because it isn’t clear Congress would pass a cybersecurity bill,” reports Bloomberg. In other words, the imperial presidency controlled by Obama’s globalist handlers will once again violate the Constitution, specifically Article 1, Section 1, that states: “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.” The Constitution does not say that if Congress fails to pass legislation, the president can then implement it by executive fiat. Specific bills must originate in the House and Senate and then go to the president for signature in order to become law. “An executive order is one of a number of measures we’re considering as we look to implement the president’s direction to do absolutely everything we can to better protect our nation against today’s cyberthreats,” said White House spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden. “We are not going to comment on ongoing internal deliberations.” Jerry Brito and Tate Watkins noted last year that cybersecurity is a big and booming industry. “The U.S. government is expected to spend $10.5 billion a year on information security by 2015, and analysts have estimated the worldwide market to be as much as $140 billion a year. The Defense Department has said it is seeking more than $3.2 billion in cybersecurity funding for 2012,” they wrote in August/September issue of Reason magazine. The military-industrial complex is the tip of the spear of the national security state. Cybersecurity supposedly protecting against exaggerated and phantom threats is a key element of the public-private partnership takeover of industry:
As James E. Miller and others have noted, it is also a key element of corporatist fascism. “Public-private partnerships are the embodiment of what Mussolini dubbed ‘corporatism;’ that is the ‘merger of state and corporate power.’ Under corporatism, the ruling class is able to expand unbeknownst to the Boobus Americanus and its equivalent in other countries,” Miller writes. That's why they are supporting candidates that want to do these things. Just remember, Robamney is on record stating that the police state legislation and EO's passed by baby Bush and Robama don't go far enough. Regardless of which "side" wins, we can expect more of this type of behavior.
#2. To: Fibr Dog, *The Two Parties ARE the Same* (#1) Sen McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Lieberman are very upset that Obama's causality numbers aren't higher. Neocon Triumvirate Harangue Globalist Forum, Call for Killing Iranians and SyriansConsummate warmonger and perennial Senate fixture John McCain stepped out of the super-secret globalist Ambrosetti Forum in Italy the other day to take Obama to task for not killing more Muslims and Arabs and for dragging his feet on attacking Iran. “In a way it’s almost like watching a train wreck,” said McCain about Obama’s approach to killing Persians.
McCain also expressed frustration over the RNC and its focus on the economy. He believes the government needs to get back on track and start the bloody process of directly bombing and killing. “The election is about jobs and the economy, but a failed … national security policy over time is going to lead to significant domestic problems,” he mused. He wasn’t, of course, talking about the domestic problems invariably created when government cranks up the national debt to pay for fancy and exorbitant war machines and the endless deployment of men and material to backwaters like Afghanistan and Yemen where CIA created threats thrive. “It’s the job of presidents and candidates to lead and articulate their vision for America’s role in the world. The world is a more dangerous place than it’s been since the end of the Cold War, and so I think the president should lead and I think candidates for the presidency should lead and talk about it, and I’m disappointed that there hasn’t been more.” On Friday, McCain and fellow warmongers Lindsay Graham and Joe Lieberman, fresh from a tour the of the “volatile Middle East,” harangued the secret globalist confab in Italy. The “trio of self-styled mavericks won European fans by criticizing the dysfunction in American politics, then challenged their audience with a call for far greater U.S. activism in the Middle East – particularly aiding Syria’s rebels and on Iran,” the Associated Press reports. Details of the proceedings at the globalist Ambrosetti Forum are secret due to the “Chatham House Rule.” However, as we have noted, the globalists are in favor of military intervention in Syria and Iran. McCain and his fellow warmongers were basically preaching to the choir. The event merely provided yet another venue for an endless propaganda campaign designed to soften the American people up for the inevitability of engineered mass murder under the rubric of the global war on manufactured terror.
Obama's watch stopped on 24 May 2008, but he's been too busy smoking crack to notice. Top • Page Up • Full Thread • Page Down • Bottom/Latest |
