I love Ron Paul, but not his cultist devotees.

At this point, he will never be President. (His son might, but you all HATE Rand Paul for endorsing Romney.)

Either Barack Obama or Mitt Romney will be President on January 21, 2013.

And YES, it does matter.

How are MitTards different?

Very simple:

Mitt Romney is one of only two people who could be President in 2013. The other possible person was influenced his entire life by Communists and Black Liberation Theologists, who hate whitey and damn America.

Ron Paul is part of a huge list of people who will never be President.

This is called reality versus fantasy.

Let me repeat it: reality versus fantasy... There's no place like home...

ROTFLMAO!!!

40 Points That Prove That Barack Obama And Mitt Romney Are Essentially The Same Candidate

Michael Snyder, Contributor
Activist Post

What a depressing choice the American people are being presented with this year. We are at a point in our history where we desperately need a change of direction in the White House, and we are guaranteed that we are not going to get it. The Democrats are running the worst president in American history, and the Republicans are running a guy who is almost a carbon copy of him.

The fact that about half the country is still supporting Barack Obama shows how incredibly stupid and corrupt the American people have become. No American should have ever cast a single vote for Barack Obama for any political office under any circumstances.

Obama should never have even been the assistant superintendent in charge of janitorial supplies, much less the president of the United States.

The truth is that Barack Obama has done such a horrible job that he should immediately resign along with his entire cabinet. But instead of giving us a clear choice, the Republicans nominated the Republican that was running that was most similar to Barack Obama. In fact, I don't think we have ever had two candidates for president that are so similar. Yes, there are a few minor differences between them, but the truth is that we are heading into Obama's second term no matter which one of them gets elected. The mainstream media makes it sound like Obama and Romney are bitter ideological rivals but that is a giant lie. Yeah, they are slinging lots of mud at each other, but they both play for the same team and the losers are going to be the American people.

Republicans are being told that they have "no choice" but to vote for Romney because otherwise they will get another four years of Obama.

This "lesser of two evils" theme comes out every four years. We are told that we "must" vote for a horrible candidate because the other guy is even worse.

Well, millions of Americans are getting sick of this routine. Perhaps that is why it is being projected that as many as 90 million Americans of voting age will not vote this year.

Yes, Barack Obama has been so horrible as president that it is hard to put it into words.

But Mitt Romney would be just like Barack Obama.

Those that are dreaming of a major change in direction if Romney is elected are going to be bitterly, bitterly disappointed.

The following are 40 ways that Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are essentially the same candidate....

1. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney both supported TARP.

2. Mitt Romney supported Barack Obama's "economic stimulus" packages.

3. Mitt Romney says that Barack Obama's bailout of the auto industry was actually his idea.

4. Neither candidate supports immediately balancing the federal budget.

5. They both believe in big government and they both have a track record of being big spenders while in office.

6. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney both fully support the Federal Reserve.

7. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are both on record as saying that the president should not question the "independence" of the Federal Reserve.

8. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have both said that Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke did a good job during the last financial crisis.

9. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney both felt that Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke deserved to be renominated to a second term.

10. Both candidates oppose a full audit of the Federal Reserve.

11. Both candidates are on record as saying that U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has done a good job.

12. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney have both been big promoters of universal health care.

13. Mitt Romney was the one who developed the plan that Obamacare was later based upon.

14. Wall Street absolutely showers both candidates with campaign contributions.

15. Neither candidate wants to eliminate the income tax or the IRS.

16. Both candidates want to keep personal income tax rates at the exact same levels for the vast majority of Americans.

17. Both candidates are "open" to the idea of imposing a Value Added Tax on the American people.

18. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney both believe that the TSA is doing a great job.

19. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney both supported the NDAA.

20. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney both supported the renewal of the USA PATRIOT Act.

21. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney both believe that the federal government should be able to indefinitely detain American citizens that are considered to be terrorists.

22. Both candidates believe that American citizens suspected of being terrorists can be killed by the president without a trial.

23. Barack Obama has not closed Guantanamo Bay like he promised to do, and Mitt Romney actually wants to double the number of prisoners held there.

24. Both candidates support the practice of "extraordinary rendition".

25. They both support the job-killing "free trade" agenda of the global elite.

26. They both accuse each other of shipping jobs out of the country and both of them are right.

27. Both candidates are extremely soft on illegal immigration.

28. Neither candidate has any military experience. This is the first time that this has happened in a U.S. election since 1944.

29. Both candidates earned a degree from Harvard University.

30. They both believe in the theory of man-made global warming.

31. Mitt Romney has said that he will support a "cap and trade" carbon tax scheme (like the one Barack Obama wants) as long as the entire globe goes along with it.

32. Both candidates have a very long record of supporting strict gun control measures.

33. Both candidates have been pro-abortion most of their careers. Mitt Romney's "conversion" to the pro-life cause has been questioned by many. In fact, Mitt Romney has made millions on Bain Capital's investment in a company called "Stericycle" that incinerates aborted babies collected from family planning clinics.

34. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney both believe that the Boy Scout ban on openly gay troop leaders is wrong.

35. They both believe that a "two state solution" will bring lasting peace between the Palestinians and Israel.

36. Both candidates have a history of nominating extremely liberal judges.

37. Like Barack Obama, Mitt Romney also plans to add "signing statements" to bills when he signs them into law.

38. They both have a horrible record when it comes to job creation.

39. Both candidates believe that the president has the power to take the country to war without getting the approval of the U.S. Congress.

40. Both candidates plan to continue running up more government debt even though the U.S. government is already 16 trillion dollars in debt.

40 Points That Prove This is the Most Important Election Since 1980

Philosophy, Character, Experience, and Leadership

1.) Obama's mentor (Frank Marshall David) was an avowed communist. Romney's mentor was his father, who was CEO of American Motors, Governor of Michigan, and the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

2.) According to Obama, his social group in college included Marxist professors and "structural feminists". Romney went to Brigham Young University where there were few Marxists or "structural feminists".

3.) Obama was an admitted dope smoking stoner in college. Romney doesn't drink, smoke, or use recreational drugs.

4.) Obama sat in a black liberation theology church for 20 years listening to the preacher bash whitey and damn America. Romney belongs to the conservative LDS Church, which generally turns out patriotic, successful, family-oriented, salt-of-the-earth Americans.

5.) Prior to becoming President, Obama never held an executive leadership position in any organization. Romney was a successful entrepreneur, saved the 2002 Olympics, and was a successful governor.

6.) Obama has been unwilling and/or unable to work with House and Senate members from the opposition party. As a result, the government is largely on auto pilot, without a budget for over 3 years, and running up a massive debt in record time.. Romney succeeded as governor, eliminating a $1.5 billion budget deficit through spending cuts, in a state where the 85% of the Legislature was in the hands of the opposition.

Energy

7.) Obama wants to shut down the coal industry and has already taken steps to do so. Romney would amend the Clean Air Act to exclude carbon dioxide from the EPA's purview.

8.) Obama wants to shut oil drilling offshore. Romney would streamline the permit process for offshore drilling.

9.) Obama wants to shut down oil drilling on federal lands. Romney would streamline the permit process for drilling on federal lands.

10.) Obama wants to shut down the Keystone pipeline and let China have Canada's oil. Romney would allow the pipeline to be built, so we can buy Canadian oil.

11.) Obama wants to stop fracking, which could provide America with virtually endless supplies of energy. Romney would prevent overregulation of shale gas development and extraction.

Business

12.) Obama has a fundamental disdain for business and an absolute contempt for business people, especially small business owners, which Marx called the petty bourgeoisie. Romney was a successful entrepreneur, whose business was to provide funds and advice to struggling businesses.

13.) Obama wants to waste taxpayer's money on unworkable "green" energy boondoggles like Solyndra. Romney would eliminate them.

14.) Obama's record of picking companies to invest in has been nearly a 100% failure. Romney record providing private equity to companies had an 85% success rate.

15.) Obama bailed out General Motors. Romney would have allowed the Chapter 11 process to work.

16.) Obama stole Chrysler from its bond holders and turned the company over to a foreign company (Fiat). Romney would have allowed the Chapter 11 process to work.

17.) Obama's Labor Relations Board wanted to prevent Boeing from opening its new $1 billion manufacturing facility in South Carolina (a right-to-work state). Romney would amend the National Labor Relations Act (NRLA) to explicitly protect the right of business owners to allocate their capital as they see fit.

18.) Obama supports “Card Check” legislation that would have stripped workers of the right to vote by secret ballot on whether to unionize. Romney would amend the NLRA to guarantee the secret ballot in every union certification election.

19.) Under Obama the Environmental Protection agency has issued endless new regulations touching on countless forms of economic activity—regulations that drive up costs, hinder investment, and destroy jobs. Romney would ensure that environmental laws properly account for cost in regulatory process. He would also require that Congress approve new regulations.

20.) Obama signed one of the most onerous and hard to understand pieces of financial regulations the world has ever seen (Dodd-Frank). Romney would repeal it and replace it with something easier to understand and more effective.

Taxes

21.) Obama wants to raise tax rates on people earning a lousy $200k a year. Romney would cut tax rates by 20% across the board.

22.) Obama doesn't have any plans to reform the Alternative Minimum Tax, which is increasingly harming middle-class families. Romney would eliminate the AMT.

23.) Obama wants to increase the death tax. Romney would eliminate the death tax.

24.) Obama wants to raise taxes on capital gains and dividends. Romney would eliminate taxes and capital gains and dividends for people making less than $200,000 a year.

25.) Obama wants to tax American companies on profit's they make overseas. Romney would switch us to a territorial tax system, which is what most developed countries have.

Spending, Entitlements and Debt

26.) Obama doesn't have any plan to reform the balooning cost of entitlements. Romney would block grant Medicaid to the states; reform Medicare as a premium support system so seniors can buy their own insurance in a competitive market; and slowly raise the Social Security retirement age.

27.) Obama doesn't have any plan to ever balance the budget. Romney would lower current federal spending from the current 24.3% of GDP to the historical post- WWII average of between 18% and 20%.

28.) Obama wants to continue funding Amtrak, and in fact he wants to spend even more money on a 10 high speed rail lines in parts of the U.S. Romney would privatize Amtrak.

29.) Obama has dramatically increased the pay of federal bureaucrats. Romney would reform federal compensation programs to be inline with the private sector.

Healthcare

30.) Obama's unworkable Obamacare program will force providers out of the market, cause people to lose their employer paid insurance, and result in a complete government take over of healthcare financing in the U.S. Romney would appeal Obamacare and move to a system of more individual responsibility and choice, with health savings accounts -- a system with proven success in Singapore.

31.) Obama is in bed with the trial lawyers, who provide the Democrats with substantial campaign contributions. Romney would reform our Tort system, including capping non-economic damages in medical malpractice lawsuits

Housing

32.) Obama supports the government holding the paper on all home mortgages through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Romney supports the Ryan budget which would wind down and eliminate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Immigration

34.) Obama passed the Dream Act by executive fiat. Romney would make substantial changes to the immigration system by: building the border fence; putting more guards on the border; implementing a mandatory employment verification system; and opposing driver's licenses and in-state tuition for illegal immigrants.

Trade

35.) Obama has stalled all progress on new trade agreements, while our competitors in Europe, China, and India have signed dozens of new agreements. Romney would aggressively pursue new trading partners, including completed the negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Romney would also designate China a currency manipulator and impose countervailing duties on imports from China.

National Defense

36.) Obama came into office with a military in serious need of modernization. The average age of our tanker aircraft is 47 years. Our strategic bombers are an average of 34 years old. We have fewer ships in our Navy than any time since 1916. Obama continues to cut funding from the military. Romney will reverse Obama's defense cuts and return to the budget baseline established by Secretary Robert Gates in 2010

Values

37.) Obama wants the federal government to force everyone to recognize gay marriage. Romney opposes this.

38.) Obama wants to force organizations run by religious institutions to provide birth control and abortion services to their employees even if they are against their religious convictions. Romney opposes this.

39.) Obama and his Attorney General believe that only white people are capable of being racist, so they refuse to prosecute racially motivated crimes by the New Black Panthers and others. Romney knows that people of all races can be racists.

40.) Obama supports using taxpayer's money to fund abortions. Romney would end federal funding to organizations like Planned Parenthood, who perform abortions.

I love Ron Paul, but not his cultist devotees.

His "devotees" are not cultist followers of HIM. They are followers of what he stands for, namely a government which follows the Constitution.

If you think THAT is "cultist," then you're a fucking idiot.

WRT o'Bungler vs. mcRomneystain, neither will adhere to the Constitution; both push the bigger government, both push the police- state. Therefore, both of them are utterly unacceptable.

Your logic is simple: one lethal poison is better than another.

Fuck you and your false dichotomy. Go LICK the hand that feeds you, and we'll be happy to forget you ever existed.

COWARD.

"Most people prefer to believe that their leaders are just and fair, even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen acknowledges that the government under which he lives is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it. To take action in the face of corrupt government entails risks of harm to life and loved ones. To choose to do nothing is to surrender one's self-image of standing for principles. Most people do not have the courage to face that choice. Hence, most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all." Do you really believe that nonsense??

And you really believe that I am living in a fantasy world??

Almost all of these things have already been proposed by the GOP House.

In fact, the bi-partisan Simpson-Bowles commission proposed lowering the top personal tax rate from 35% to 23%, lowering the top corporate tax rate from 35% to 25%, and eliminating the Alternative Minimum Tax as well.

Reagan and Tip O'Neil worked together to lower the top income tax rate from 70% to 28%. There is broad bi-partisan support to lower rates and eliminate deductions again today. Unfortunately, Obama and the far left would rather play politics to get reelected that actually do something about our convoluted tax system.

You need to start paying attention to the real world rather than your kooky conspiracy web sites.

I said it before, and I'll say it again; it is not "cultist" to demand that the government follow the Constitution.

Barr voted for the Patriot Act and for the Iraq War Authorization he was in Congress. Which killed his chances, right there.

Not. Unlike you, I will not compromise my principles to be on the "winning team."

You just don't GET IT, do you??? SOME things are not for sale, AT ANY PRICE.

Let me introduce the concept REAL Americans call "integrity." You should look it up, since it's obviously a foreign concept for you...

Hence, most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all." This year, you might vote for Gary Johnson, rather than write in Ron Paul's name, as you told us you are going to do.

Not. Unlike you, I will not compromise my principles to be on the "winning team."

Gary Johnson is going to be part of the winning team???

I didn't know that.

ROTFLMAO!!!

Ah, you were trying to be witty.

I will not compromise my principles to be on the "winning team."

Then the only person you will ever vote for is yourself.

Almost all of these things have already been proposed by the GOP House.

And what about the Senate, Dorothy?

your kooky conspiracy web sites

Tell me, little piggy... what kooky conspiracy websites do you believe I get my news from?

You need to start paying attention to the real world rather than your kooky conspiracy web sites.

Perhaps you could post a link to some kooky conspiracy article from some kooky conspiracy web site that I've posted?

That would help to give your "you better vote for a liberal" tantrum some teeth anyway.

I thought it was an open forum. Are you still an Israelfirster?

Almost every country in the Middle East is awash in oil, and we have to side with the one that has nothing but joos. Goddamn, that was good thinkin'. Esso posted on 2012-01-13 7:37:56 ET
