What an exciting time it is in America. We are at a turning point in our history where we desperately need a change in direction. Fortunately, we are starting to get.

In 2010, the Tea Party was responsible for electing 60 new GOP Congressmen, giving us the most conservative House since before the Great Depression. In addition, the GOP gained 680 seats in State Legislatures across the country, giving the GOP the largest number of State Legislative seats since 1928.

This year, we have the clearest Presidential election since 1980, with the Marxist-influenced, black liberation theology-inspired President pitted against a lifelong successful business man.

Unfortunately, there are still too many stubborn people on the "right" who are in denial over the progress that has been made and the stark choice that we face this year.

So, I decided to give them a hand by posting 40 points that prove that this is most important Presidential election since 1980:

Philosophy, Character, Experience, and Leadership

1.) Obama's mentor (Frank Marshall David) was an avowed communist. Romney's mentor was his father, who was CEO of American Motors, Governor of Michigan, and the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

2.) According to Obama, his social group in college included Marxist professors and "structural feminists". Romney went to Brigham Young University where there were few Marxists or "structural feminists".

3.) Obama was an admitted dope smoking stoner in college. Romney doesn't drink, smoke, or use recreational drugs.

4.) Obama sat in a black liberation theology church for 20 years listening to the preacher bash whitey and damn America. Romney belongs to the conservative LDS Church, which generally turns out patriotic, successful, family-oriented, salt-of-the-earth Americans.

5.) Prior to becoming President, Obama never held an executive leadership position in any organization. Romney was a successful entrepreneur, saved the 2002 Olympics, and was a successful governor.

6.) Obama has been unwilling and/or unable to work with House and Senate members from the opposition party. As a result, the government is largely on auto pilot, without a budget for over 3 years, and running up a massive debt in record time.. Romney succeeded as governor, eliminating a $1.5 billion budget deficit through spending cuts, in a state where the 85% of the Legislature was in the hands of the opposition.

Energy

7.) Obama wants to shut down the coal industry and has already taken steps to do so. Romney would amend the Clean Air Act to exclude carbon dioxide from the EPA's purview.

8.) Obama wants to shut oil drilling offshore. Romney would streamline the permit process for offshore drilling.

9.) Obama wants to shut down oil drilling on federal lands. Romney would streamline the permit process for drilling on federal lands.

10.) Obama wants to shut down the Keystone pipeline and let China have Canada's oil. Romney would allow the pipeline to be built, so we can buy Canadian oil.

11.) Obama wants to stop fracking, which could provide America with virtually endless supplies of energy. Romney would prevent overregulation of shale gas development and extraction.

Business

12.) Obama has a fundamental disdain for business and an absolute contempt for business people, especially small business owners, which Marx called the petty bourgeoisie. Romney was a successful entrepreneur, whose business was to provide funds and advice to struggling businesses.

13.) Obama wants to waste taxpayer's money on unworkable "green" energy boondoggles like Solyndra. Romney would eliminate them.

14.) Obama's record of picking companies to invest in has been nearly a 100% failure. Romney record providing private equity to companies had an 85% success rate.

15.) Obama bailed out General Motors. Romney would have allowed the Chapter 11 process to work.

16.) Obama stole Chrysler from its bond holders and turned the company over to a foreign company (Fiat). Romney would have allowed the Chapter 11 process to work.

17.) Obama's Labor Relations Board wanted to prevent Boeing from opening its new $1 billion manufacturing facility in South Carolina (a right-to-work state). Romney would amend the National Labor Relations Act (NRLA) to explicitly protect the right of business owners to allocate their capital as they see fit.

18.) Obama supports “Card Check” legislation that would have stripped workers of the right to vote by secret ballot on whether to unionize. Romney would amend the NLRA to guarantee the secret ballot in every union certification election.

19.) Under Obama the Environmental Protection agency has issued endless new regulations touching on countless forms of economic activity—regulations that drive up costs, hinder investment, and destroy jobs. Romney would ensure that environmental laws properly account for cost in regulatory process. He would also require that Congress approve new regulations.

20.) Obama signed one of the most onerous and hard to understand pieces of financial regulations the world has ever seen (Dodd-Frank). Romney would repeal it and replace it with something easier to understand and more effective.

Taxes

21.) Obama wants to raise tax rates on people earning a lousy $200k a year. Romney would cut tax rates by 20% across the board.

22.) Obama doesn't have any plans to reform the Alternative Minimum Tax, which is increasingly harming middle-class families. Romney would eliminate the AMT.

23.) Obama wants to increase the death tax. Romney would eliminate the death tax.

24.) Obama wants to raise taxes on capital gains and dividends. Romney would eliminate taxes and capital gains and dividends for people making less than $200,000 a year.

25.) Obama wants to tax American companies on profit's they make overseas. Romney would switch us to a territorial tax system, which is what most developed countries have.

Spending, Entitlements and Debt

26.) Obama doesn't have any plan to reform the balooning cost of entitlements. Romney would block grant Medicaid to the states; reform Medicare as a premium support system so seniors can buy their own insurance in a competitive market; and slowly raise the Social Security retirement age.

27.) Obama doesn't have any plan to ever balance the budget. Romney would lower current federal spending from the current 24.3% of GDP to the historical post- WWII average of between 18% and 20%.

28.) Obama wants to continue funding Amtrak, and in fact he wants to spend even more money on a 10 high speed rail lines in parts of the U.S. Romney would privatize Amtrak.

29.) Obama has dramatically increased the pay of federal bureaucrats. Romney would reform federal compensation programs to be inline with the private sector.

Healthcare

30.) Obama's unworkable Obamacare program will force providers out of the market, cause people to lose their employer paid insurance, and result in a complete government take over of healthcare financing in the U.S. Romney would appeal Obamacare and move to a system of more individual responsibility and choice, with health savings accounts -- a system with proven success in Singapore.

31.) Obama is in bed with the trial lawyers, who provide the Democrats with substantial campaign contributions. Romney would reform our Tort system, including capping non-economic damages in medical malpractice lawsuits

Housing

32.) Obama supports the government holding the paper on all home mortgages through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Romney supports the Ryan budget which would wind down and eliminate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Immigration

34.) Obama passed the Dream Act by executive fiat. Romney would make substantial changes to the immigration system by: building the border fence; putting more guards on the border; implementing a mandatory employment verification system; and opposing driver's licenses and in-state tuition for illegal immigrants.

Trade

35.) Obama has stalled all progress on new trade agreements, while our competitors in Europe, China, and India have signed dozens of new agreements. Romney would aggressively pursue new trading partners, including completed the negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Romney would also designate China a currency manipulator and impose countervailing duties on imports from China.

National Defense

36.) Obama came into office with a military in serious need of modernization. The average age of our tanker aircraft is 47 years. Our strategic bombers are an average of 34 years old. We have fewer ships in our Navy than any time since 1916. Obama continues to cut funding from the military. Romney will reverse Obama's defense cuts and return to the budget baseline established by Secretary Robert Gates in 2010

Values

37.) Obama wants the federal government to force everyone to recognize gay marriage. Romney opposes this.

38.) Obama wants to force organizations run by religious institutions to provide birth control and abortion services to their employees even if they are against their religious convictions. Romney opposes this.

39.) Obama and his Attorney General believe that only white people are capable of being racist, so they refuse to prosecute racially motivated crimes by the New Black Panthers and others. Romney knows that people of all races can be racists.

40.) Obama supports using taxpayer's money to fund abortions. Romney would end federal funding to organizations like Planned Parenthood, who perform abortions.

I decided to give them a hand by posting 40 points that prove that this is most important Presidential election since 1980:

The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can "throw the rascals out" at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy. - Carrol Quigley, Tragedy and Hope

"Most people prefer to believe that their leaders are just and fair, even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen acknowledges that the government under which he lives is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it. To take action in the face of corrupt government entails risks of harm to life and loved ones. To choose to do nothing is to surrender one's self-image of standing for principles. Most people do not have the courage to face that choice. Hence, most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all." Yep, this article your nonsensical response to the article I posted- and you linked to.

THANK you for proving my point.

Oh, BTW, you forgot to copy the pic over to this thread:

THANK you for proving my point.

You have no point at all, as usual.

You are an ill-mannered, ill-tempered, conspiracy kook who refuses to respond to legitimate points and answer legitimate questions.

Anytime anyone challenges your crazy views, you start foaming at the mouth and go into a frenzy of posting other people's writings. The only original writing you ever post are mean-spirited invectives.

Honestly, you have a serious mental illness. I feel sorry for your wife, family, friends, and coworkers... if you even have any of wife, family, friends, or coworkers.

Back to this again, eh?

Disinformation Tactic #9. Play Dumb.

No matter what evidence or logical argument is offered, avoid discussing issues except with denials they have any credibility, make any sense, provide any proof, contain or make a point, have logic, or support a conclusion. Mix well for maximum effect.

You are an ill-mannered, ill-tempered, conspiracy kook ...

Disinformation Tactic #5. Sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule.

This is also known as the primary 'attack the messenger' ploy, though other methods qualify as variants of that approach. Associate opponents with unpopular titles such as 'kooks'...

who refuses to respond to legitimate points and answer legitimate questions.

Disinformation Tactic #19. Ignore facts presented, demand impossible proofs.

This is perhaps a variant of the 'play dumb' rule. Regardless of what material may be presented by an opponent in public forums, claim the material irrelevant and demand proof that is impossible for the opponent to come by

Keep working from the same play-book, I'm gonna' keep beating you with it.

Just for curiosity, I looked... You've made 22 posts to me in the last six weeks, and have YET to address a single fact I've posted.

NOT ONCE.

Instead, you keep using disinfo tactics, thinking you're somehow clever, and won't get caught. Sadly, you're no more of a match than loonyming, or the other statist whores.

Because that's really what you are, dipshit... You're a statist whore. Oh, you think the whore with an "R" on their back is somehow better than the twin to yours, who just happens to have "D" on their back.

READ the words of Carroll Quigley, and understand.

Because right now, all you're doing is mouthing the same trite excuses that have been going on... for decades.

gay marriage. Romney opposes this.

The common misconception is that it's good to reach across the isle. BS! It's only good if you can agree to repeal a past screw up, impeach someone, close some gov bureau, or reduce the size and scope of gov. Anything that Mitt & Obama want is most likely a horrible idea anyway.

Mitt has denounced the coal industry as killers. Look it up.

Mitt's on the record favoring more military spending and more aggressive military action. Both R & O will ignore defense against invasion, and it will continue, as well as our foreign meddling. This is going to bite us badly, and likely very soon. You can't just go around the world overthrowing governments and get away with it unscathed.

Mormon bishop Romney is every bit as crazy as Rev Jeremiah Wright.

He's a reconquista who'll sign on to amnesty, same as Obama.

Is based on RomneyCare. They're both fans of socialized medicine to drive up costs, increase profits for suppliers contributing to the D&R crime family, and decrease the quality of medical care.

LOL! No matter how much weed Barry & Mitt smoke they'll never make the big jump to being human. They're whores out for the buck, both of them. Edited to add: That's not really fair to whores who provide a service that the customer wants.

He voluntarily signed almost two hundred queer marriage licenses, proclaimed gay&lesbian youth days parades, encouraging everyone to participate, and kept the governors homo youth commission going strong. He's at least as queer as Obama.

If anything you've provided more ways that Barry & Mittens are the same.

The common misconception is that it's good to reach across the isle. BS!

No two people agree on everything. You have to be able to work with people you disagree with to get things done. Reagan worked with Tip O'Neil and Bill Bradley to lower the top income tax rate from 70% to 26%. Clinton worked with Newt Gingrich, John Kaisich, and Dick Army to remove welfare from entitlement status, slow the growth in spending, and balance the budget. Romney worked with a Legislature that was 85% Democrat to eliminate a $1.5 billion annual deficit.

Mitt has denounced the coal industry as killers. Look it up.

I just googled it and there's nothing there. Prove you assertion.

Mormon bishop Romney is every bit as crazy as Rev Jeremiah Wright.

Yes, I understand that you are an anti-Mormon bigot. I know a lot of Mormons. Almost every one of them is a good, hard working, family-oriented person. Mormons are nothing like the bigoted, hateful, anti-American Reverend Wright. The very fact that you make this comparison should tell everyone reading this just how kooky you really are.

He voluntarily signed almost two hundred queer marriage licenses

This is a wild accusation made by another kook -- Michele Bachmann, who misinterprets the facts as much as you do. Massachusetts has a "one day marriage license", which allows people who aren't clergy or a justice of the peace to marry someone. This is not a marriage license. It's to grant a one day license to the person performing the ceremony.

They're both fans of socialized medicine

You are incorrect. Romney's program is to similar to Singapore's and is based on expanded usage of health savings accounts. It's still not the exact program I'd put into place, but it goes in the opposite direction of what Obama is trying to do.

GM is the market leader in China with a 13.6% share.

It's a great thing that an American company is so successful in China.

Mitt has denounced the coal industry as killers. Look it up.

I just googled it and there's nothing there.

Next time try it with your eyes open.

Just days after his 2002 election, Mr. Romney hired Douglas Foy, one of the state’s most prominent environmental activists, and put him in charge of supervising four state agencies.

Gov. Mitt Romney and Douglas Foy at a March 2006 event.

Mr. Foy had initiated a lawsuit that led to the cleanup of Boston Harbor and had worked to protect fishing grounds and seashores. Once in the Romney administration, he served as the governor’s negotiator on a regional climate-change initiative and put emissions caps in place for coal-fired power plants.

With Mr. Foy by his side, Mr. Romney joined activists outside an aging, coal-fired plant in 2003 to show his commitment to the emissions caps. “I will not create jobs or hold jobs that kill people, and that plant, that plant kills people,” he said.

Mr. Romney, while implementing the emissions caps, ultimately backed away from the regional climate-change agreement in 2005, a decision announced on the same day he said he would not seek re-election as governor, stoking speculation that he would run for president.[Emphasis added]

U.S. coal plants don’t kill or harm anybody now and didn’t in 2003.

We wonder what his explanation will be. Oh yeah… we’d like to hear about the rationale for hiring Doug Foy, too.

READ the words of Carroll Quigley, and understand.

LOL.

Yeah, I read "None Dare Call it Conspiracy" 30 years ago. It extensively quoted Caroll Quigley (who taught college in the 1940s - 1970s).

He believes that "secret societies" have played a role in recent world history.

The difference between Quigley and conspiracy nuts like you, who misquote Quigley, is that Quigley believed there are a bunch of independent conspiracies, while you believe that there is one giant conspiracy that completely controls everything.

There certainly are political conspiracies -- we see coups and revolutions around the world all of the time.

There is NOT one giant one that controls everything, as you believe.

I don't have a subscription to the Wall Street Journal, so I can't follow the link on the Junk Science site to see if the Wall Street Journal actually had that Romney quote.

But what I do know is that Foy spent two years creating the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, a plan to limit carbon dioxide emissions from Northeast power plants. Romney refused to sign it at the last minute, citing concerns regarding the cost of cap-and-trade to businesses. Then Doug Foy quit.

People (including scientists) have changed their mind (in both directions) on climate change as new evidence unfolds.

My views are similar to Romney's today, as he recently said:

My view is that we don’t know what’s causing climate change on this planet. And the idea of spending trillions and trillions of dollars to try to reduce CO2 emissions is not the right course for us.

Disinformation Tactic #4. Use a straw man.

Find or create a seeming element of your opponent's argument which you can easily knock down to make yourself look good and the opponent to look bad. Either make up an issue you may safely imply exists based on your interpretation of the opponent/opponent arguments/situation, or select the weakest aspect of the weakest charges. Amplify their significance and destroy them in a way which appears to debunk all the charges, real and fabricated alike, while actually avoiding discussion of the real issues.

Disinformation Tactic #7. Question motives.

Twist or amplify any fact which could be taken to imply that the opponent operates out of a hidden personal agenda or other bias. This avoids discussing issues and forces the accuser on the defensive.

Disinformation Tactic #17. Change the subject.

Usually in connection with one of the other ploys listed here, find a way to side-track the discussion with abrasive or controversial comments in hopes of turning attention to a new, more manageable topic.

Oh, BTW, you spout the latest stance of mcRomneystain on global warming.

June 3, 2011: "I don’t speak for the scientific community, of course, but I believe the world’s getting warmer. I can’t prove that, but I believe based on what I read that the world is getting warmer. And number two, I believe that humans contribute to that.

October 28, 2011: "My view is that we don’t know what’s causing climate change on this planet. And the idea of spending trillions and trillions of dollars to try to reduce CO2 emissions is not the right course for us."

Flip-mcromneyFLOP!

Thanks for playing, dipshit! I really enjoy slapping you idiots upside the head... :)))

Hence, most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all." You are an ill-mannered, ill-tempered, conspiracy kook who refuses to respond to legitimate points and answer legitimate questions.

Anytime anyone challenges your crazy views, you start foaming at the mouth and go into a frenzy of posting other people's writings. The only original writing you ever post are mean-spirited invectives.

40 Points That Prove This is the Most Important Election Since 1980

Looking back, I think I'd be hard pressed to say what would have been different if any election had gone differently. Ergo, the above title isn't saying a whole heck of a lot.

Absolutely right. GM is doomed to fail. Obama's bailout just postponed the inevitable.

But they are the market leader in China.

by race or choice?

I chose to be black when I turned 30. I spend a fortune on tanning booths and getting my hair curled.

As usual, when faced with another obvious mcRomney flip-flop, you stick your head in the sand and pretend NOT to notice.

You're a fucking IDIOT, as naive and thoughtless as the *leftist* useful-idiots. The funny part is, you actually think you think.

The truth is that you'd rather die than think.

Yes, I did. But how would his reelection have made things worse than they are today?

A topic for debate, but how does it affect you? Shouldn't you be more worried the next Ecuadorian election?

Obama has played at being a president while enjoying the perks … golf, insanely expensive vacations at tax-payer expense. He has ignored the responsibilities of the job; no plans, no budgets, no alternatives … just finger pointing; making him a complete failure as a president
