Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown Law graduate whom conservative talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh called a slut earlier this year for her advocacy of President Barack Obamas mandate of insurance coverage for birth control, still is mad Republican Mitt Romney didnt do more to condemn Limbaugh back then. Today, Fluke introduced Obama, whom she supports, at a rally in Denver.
While Obama had defended her, she said, all Romney would say was that Limbaughs words werent the ones he would choose.
Mr. Romney, youre not going to be the candidate we choose, she said. If Romney cant stand up to extreme voices in the Republican Party now, she said, he could not be trusted as president.
Obama hugged Fluke as he took the stage. She is one tough and poised young lady, he said.
The Denver rally was a tryout of sorts for Fluke, who lives in California and may open for Obama at other events targeting female voters between now and November..
Obama has gained a widening advantage among female voters, and his campaign is targeting Romney with TV ads featuring women who portray Romney as a threat to their rights.
