Get ready to start looking for somebody else to vote for,then. Condi is his best choice to win because she would divide the united black voter block,as well as draw in all the "white guilt" voters that put Obummer over the top the last time. Plus she is smart and travels in the same social and financial circles as Rombama. He will be comfortable around her and so will his handlers.
She would do no such thing. Blacks are overwhelmingly Democrats. They would view Rice on the ticket as nothing more than a cynical ploy. If Romney wants a bold pick, he'd be better off choosing New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, or Tennessee Congressman Marsha Blackburn. I personally like Blackburn. She's bright, articulate, attractive, and a Tea Party favorite. She would help Romney close the gap with women. I like her a great deal.

Good thinking! You are either stupid or delusional if you think that a black Republican is going to split the black vote, as you stated in your original assertion. Whether in prison or on welfare, blacks are first and foremost wards of the state. It has been bred into them for generations. They are not going to abandon that mentality very easily.

Even if this is true (You have provided no source for which I can verify these "facts"), one must consider the history of blacks in America from Day 1, when they were brought over as slaves, to understand why this may be the case. If it has in fact been "bred into them for generations," who exactly is to blame for this?
Let's look at a different population. A short 70 years ago, Jews were badly mistreated in Germany. Their businesses and homes were confiscated. They were shipped off to concentration camps. They were murdered. Are 60% of Germany Jews on welfare? No. Are 5% of German Jews in prison? No. Do German Jews live in ghettos? No. Do they from drug gangs and gun each other down in the street? No. Are 65% of their children born out of wedlock? No. On and on... How come German Jews have become a successful group in Germany, 70 years after being systematically exterminated, but American blacks have not, 150 years after slavery ended? The big problem is that their leadership has generally failed them. Since the 1960s black leaders have told them to look to government for solutions, rather than becoming entrepreneurs and building their own communities. This is a huge problem for the future of this country.
Had the plight of the black man in the US ended with slavery 150 years ago, your question would be valid. However, you discount the fact that blacks continued to be discriminated against, and that it wasn't really until the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960's when Jim Crow laws were ended that blacks attained equality under the law. I would also assert that discrimination against blacks continues today, albeit at a much lower scale. You also still haven't provided me with the source for your 60/5 statistics. I would also be interested in seeing a comparison between whites and blacks in terms of these percentages. Since you obviously found them somewhere, can you provide the source? The big problem is that their leadership has generally failed them. This I do not know, since I don't pay much attention to who their leaders really are and what they say.
