I saw a post by mcgowanjm and he is a fairly astute kook, and I mean that in a good way. He made the observation in my title. I think A K A Stone and his fundie ways have alienated the fairer sex, but that's just my theory. Some have claimed byeltsin is a woman, I'm not so sure about that. The twin left-coasters - lucysmom and mininggold have disappeared from here. I know liberator types faster than a woman. Okay, I've said my piece and good night.

Sweetie, the last time rowdee posted on the Internet was a long time ago. If anyone knows a fantastic poster, it is myself. rowdee is one of our best. She is almost ... but not quite ... akin to another libertarian mind: Claire Wolfe. In fact, I wouldn't be surprized if she wasn't Claire, herself. Some of the best posts on LF are about to be made; mark my words.
I will look forward to her posts. It's nice to have liberty minded individuals with bright minds share their thoughts, ideas, and opinions.
I enjoy your posts, too. I strongly believe that Moderator X is doing another great job with LF; Moderator X is a woman just in case no one noticed. She keeps her mouth shut most of the time though. One of these days, I am going to have her write an essay specific to the world around us and herself from a abstract relational perspective. All I have to do is find the right moment having her to sit down and create her written word. I think the best days for LF are ahead for all of us for renewed discussions that are about our concepts dealing with related political matters, too.

Things they think they are going to get by voting for a certain party... I.E freebies from the government!! True security comes from having a stable life, loving family and/or good career..... something they don't have because of the choices they've made in life... They don't realize/care that someday the gravy train is gonna run dry and they won't be able to find a way to stay alive.... It's one of the biggest reasons why this country is in the shape it's in... voting for all the wrong people for all the wrong reasons!!

Hmmmm.... So how did you react when you heard the woefully misnamed Supreme Court had upheld Obamacare? I first felt a flat, cool anger — without passion because it was so without surprise. I had expected the court would shoot down the individual mandate while leaving the rest — a recipe for economic disaster, of course, since the individual mandate pays for the whole — but a snarkily satisfying slap in the face and at least a small nod in the direction of the Constitution. But nothing those government supremacists do could surprise anybody who’s observing carefully. Their actual decision is one of those that reminds us (no offense to the Oregon Law Hobbit) why 20,000 lawyers at the bottom of the sea is “a good start”: While it’s a violation of the interstate commerce clause for the federal government to require everyone to buy insurance, it’s perfectly okay to fine tax us if we don’t. There’s no mandate, there’s simply a choice! And naturally an alleged “conservative,” a Bush appointee, gave nanny-gov fans their deciding vote. Make that 100,000 at the bottom of the sea. And counting. Then I heard Romney’s response and flat-out laughed. He promises to repeal Obamacare and replace it with — every big provision of Obamacare except the hated (but absolutely necessary to the rest) individual mandate. Somehow, this is going to prevent those very useful “future generations” from being stuck with the bill. Sorry, I have no info for you on exactly how imposing Obamacare with no built-in payment mechanism “saves” you poor guys in the “future generations.” Romney’s campaign reported an immediate spike in donations upon the court’s announcement. And now, too, he gets to keep his #1 applause line. So yay hooray, both Ds and Rs win the day. Government 2, the people 0. But hey, all you younger folks who are going to end up paying, whether through Obama’s not-a-mandate or the R’s everything-but-a-mandate … well, do any of these politicians really believe you’ll quietly spend the entire rest of your lives forking over the dough for their grandiosity? Not quite an Elvis Presley just yet.

Thank yoyu too, for the nice words, Murron. There's still a bit of fire and passion left, but I've learned (at least I hope I have) to just turn the hard stuff over to God and let him deal with it. His shoulders are bigger than mine.

She's really good. BTW, Mark Levin says conservatism and the Constitution won nothing. And I agree with him, too. He also says that it is the young folks who are the healthiest and least likely to be using medical services that will be footing the bill because government has no money and needs money. Whatever they in government get sure won't be spent for healthcare, because that is going to be managed--as in 'manage it long enough that the older die before getting the needed heart stents, or pace makers, or whatever, or things like hip and knee replacements will only be approved for those under 50 because they will be able to get back to work another 25 years, whereas 77 year old Granny is just a drag on society. Furthermore, we will see a curtailing of what 'extras' a person can have in the way of medical care, or goodies in the insurance package.....just give them time to have a couple of people complain that 'it isn't fair' that the wealthier get these goodies. They will be either taxed out of existence, or flat out ruled against being lawful. Funny how the ability to deny those things to the 'merikan people are found all thru the Constitution, but curtailing the murder of unborn is not covered by the Constitution. It is a bizarre world we live in. And America is just playing out the waning days of life in the top nations of te world.

I guess we will just have to disagree on this. Perhaps your experiences don't match up with mine so our views don't mesh. I will say we have a nation that is stuck in stupid. We won't live long enough to cure this condition. And the nation continues its goal of dumbing down the people, so there are even less of the next generation left to fight the good fight. Are you a lady, too? Though I'm new to this forum, AKA and I go back a good number of years. Sometimes he tries to be a little bit crude (atually accomplishes this at times, but I don't tell him that so he doesn't get encouraged to repeat iti!), but I think that is the youthful desire for everything to be right and perfect in this world. LP has really devolved into a garbage site. Many years ago, it wasn't like it is now. There are a handful of posters there that absolutely ruin the site. You can't carry on a discussion because of their injecting themselves in using crude street slang to isplay their intellectual prowess. And that the owner of that site can't see it or won't see it or doesn't care or is being paid to keep it operational is beyond belief. Its early days had lots of great posting...nothing at all like the garbage site it has become. It was actuall a break-away from the old Free Republic site, which long ago was a really good conservative site but now is a disaster.
