The Water Cooler Title: Do Any Women Post Here? I saw a post by mcgowanjm and he is a fairly astute kook, and I mean that in a good way. He made the observation in my title. I think A K A Stone and his fundie ways have alienated the fairer sex, but that's just my theory. Some have claimed byeltsin is a woman, I'm not so sure about that. The twin left-coasters - lucysmom and mininggold have disappeared from here. I know liberator types faster than a woman. Okay, I've said my piece and good night. So you actually thought about Well, yes. If you and your ilk consider teenage girls "women". But mostly only when they are young and stupid and hopefully don't know any better. Those who do know are as evil as the government that endorses it. Any woman that willfully has an abortion after age 25 knows it's baby-murder...and is doing so as a barbaric method birth control. Oh - and watch your vulgar language, Missy. There are *ladies* here.
#116. To: We The People (#114) The really scary ones looked like a little piece of negative. Heh...(rumor is listening Jefferson Airplane or Strawberry Alarm Clock *could* accomplish that feat) Btw, did that a couple of times. The last time actually ruined my eyesight forever. True story.
#117. To: We The People (#113) I don't think mcgowanjm is a kook. I use my own definition of kook: people who know what is really going on. I guess I'll have to look up the formal dictionary definition now.
#118. To: We The People, mcgowanjm (#113) I don't think mcgowanjm is a kook. HA! ("A Beautiful Mind")...Definitely operating at a higher rpms - could very well be the meds. The definition is certainly relative. But on my "kook scale", Jimmy's about a 7. Any lower and I believe *he'd* be insulted. Anyway, he's got a great sense of humor and he's easy to get along with. I do find Jimmy humorous and insightful at times. But I find his hostility and disrespect of my God and occasional vulgarity to be in un-necessary.
#119. To: Fred Mertz (#117) I use my own definition of kook: people who know what is really going on. People who know what is really going on are "savvy", do-the-math, and rely less on fantasy and more on critical thinking; A "kook" gets it right half the time and the other half of the time dwells on a different planet.
#120. To: Liberator (#119) People who know what is really going on are "savvy"... Sometimes yes. Is Michael Rivero savvy? He has that web site - whatreallyhappened - where he takes major events and comes up with a (credible) alternate version, other than the government's or public's official version. He used to post on FR circa 1999 until he got banned. I consider him a kook too. I glanced at the urban dictionary and lots of surfers apparently use the term. Maybe Jimmie is a surfer.
#121. To: Fred Mertz, We The People (#120) Sometimes yes. Is Michael Rivero savvy? He used to post on FR circa 1999 until he got banned. I consider him a kook too. Any opinion considered "out-of-mainstream" or too hard to believe (but true) may be considered "kookery". I don't know Michael Rivero work other than knowing he goes against the grain of the establishment narrative - another characteristic of a "kook" in some circles. The main problems for actual kooks is remaining coherent.

Women's Health: Prostaglandin analogues, such as misoprostol or gemeprost[3] (both synthetic prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) analogues), are often used to terminate pregnancy up to 24[4] or 60[3] days of gestation, in combination with mifepristone (a progesterone receptor antagonist) or methotrexate (an antifolate). Misoprostol administered vaginally is more effective than when administered orally.[5] Misoprostol is approved in France under the trade name GyMiso for use with mifepristone for medical abortion. Misoprostol is used off-label with mifepristone for medical abortion in the U.S. Dinoprostone, given by the extra-amniotic route, can be used for late abortion (second trimester).[3] Mifepristone is a progesterone receptor antagonist also known as RU-486. It is marketed under the trade name Mifegyne in France and countries other than the U.S., and under the trade name Mifeprex in the U.S.
Abortifacts in history:
Women's Health ancient abortifacts
Ancient silver coin from Cyrene depicting a stalk of Silphium.
The ancient Greek colony of Cyrene at one time had an economy based almost entirely on the production and export of the plant silphium, considered a powerful abortifacient.
As Christianity (Thanx bunches Fundy's;)
and in particular the institution of the Catholic Church increasingly influenced European society, those who dispensed abortifacient herbs found themselves classified as
witches
and were often persecuted (see witch-hunt).[13]
Medieval Muslim physicians documented detailed and extensive lists of birth control practices, including the use of abortifacients, commenting on their effectiveness and prevalence.
The use of abortifacients was acceptable to Islamic jurists provided that the abortion occurs within 120 days, the point when the fetus is considered to become fully human and receive its soul.[14]
In English law, abortion did not become illegal until 1803. English folk practice before and after that time held that fetal life was not present until quickening. "Women who took drugs before that time would describe their actions as 'restoring the menses' or 'bringing on a period'."[15]
Abortifacients used by women in England in the 19th century (not necessarily safe or effective) included diachylon, savin, ergot of rye, pennyroyal, slippery elm, nutmeg, rue, squills, and hiera picra.[16]
