What Sarah Palin said is that you can see Russia from certain parts of Alaska. IOW, if you're at high altitude in AK and it's a clear day, you can see Russia.

What governor Palin was saying at the time was that she was GOVERNOR of a state that has INTERNATIONAL boundaries, and that she has as GOVERNOR dealt with foreign gooberments as part of Alaska's business.
